My step-daughter told me once that she learned the difference of effective arguing by watching her father and I and then comparing it to her mother and father. Not saying that it was better; it was just that I would not let the arguing become a screaming match.
I do know that my stepdaughter is committed to her SO and he is committed to her. They have weathered very hard times and very good times together and see no reason why they should not be together for their lifetime.
I don't know if the "younger" generation has a better or right attitude towards relationships. Maybe a more embittered vision of a relationship.
If they grew up surrounded by divorce, re-marriages, live-ins, step-families, they might decide that a relationship is just not worth it at any cost and just concentrate on having fun for themselves.
*Saying that, I have one child who is happily married with three children, one child who has been with her SO for eight years and own a home together and four that are not in current relationships and do not feel or see a need to.*
The Secession Party might not exactly wish to be a part of the United States but you did insult the State of Alaska (as a whole) as you cannot condemn/insult a whole state for the actions of a few.
Everything in its time and if it piles up it means your life is happy and full of meaning! (at least that is my fathers' bit of wisdom when household chores pile up!)
Please tell me Dude that you did just insult the State of Alaska and those citizens currently living, having been born there (ME) and those who are of Alaskan Native ethnicity! (ME).
The land went through several administrative changes before becoming an organized (or incorporated) territory on May 11, 1912, and the 49th state of the U.S. on January 3, 1959.
Up to this point Dude, I've let a lot of remarks just slide off my back, as I figure for the most part you are well-meaning and harmless, but that remark of yours (the one highlighted in bold) really got on my nerves!
