Visiting with family here in Kansas and it seems that heat gets turned on sometime in October or when the first snow falls. It's a little chilly here in the mornings and the trains go past every 30 minutes. Interesting experience.
Well, let's see, my dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, kids live in Alaska. I was born there, lot of friends still live there...some of us like traveling though....
It would be nice to have a J-O-B again. I, personally, had an interview on my birthday (a first in 2 yrs). I have stated before that I do feel that I am luckier than others in the similar situation.
I have no children in the home, I do not own a home, so no mortgage to pay. No vehicle, so no car insurance or payments. I have worked with my creditors to get lenience on my debts owing and I attend school. I was receiving unemployment but my benefits ran out. I have no savings and pretty much stretch what I do receive for my student stipends to the last penny. I am healthy, I know with furthering my education, I can get higher paying jobs and I am fortunate enough to enjoy my life, even when it can seem depressing.
I should have mentioned that I was speaking for myself (and possibly two others) only.
Even if I personally was settled in a position, chances are I would still travel within and outside of the U.S. (holidays and such). I enjoy it and love learning different things....
Well, when you have been without employment for two years, you go where the labor market is favorable. This includes lower taxes, reasonable rents/housing market and the ability to live versus just exist.
Is it that they are degrading themselves or feel that they hurt someone and are apologizing and taking ownership of their actions?
A sincere apology for hurtful actions, to me, means that the individual has taken ownership over their actions, attempted to make amends and hopefully has learned something. Accountability and Responsibility for one's own actions are high on my list of personal self-esteem.
My self-confidence and esteem are very high! Always has been. I do see my own faults and failures in myself, don't feel the need to see them others. I don't think I come across as "snotty" but who the hell knows?
Well, aren't you just the "happy individual?" Not sure whom it is you are dating but most individuals do not "horf" down food like its going outta style.
When I first heard that individuals were going to "camp out" on Wall Street for a peaceful demonstration/protest, I figured it would end like the images shown.
Cities/States become scared when individuals gather together to protest: to show their willingness to stand up for what they believe in. What begins as a peaceful protest becomes either a "mob" or focused police targeting of individuals...sad.
We can "stand up" for our beliefs as long as we do from behind closed, locked doors.....
Yes, they do. Several individuals that I know are either currently in school (college) while serving overseas or are taking civilian training courses that match their military training, such as mechanics, cooking, etc.
Interesting article Bebe and interesting read of the posts.
My son is currently serving as a National Guard Cav Scout, my nephew is currently serving as Marine. Both of these young men chose the military as a way to enhance not only their careers but their educations. Neither are white, although both come from a somewhat middle class background.
