In reading over the list, I realized that I have a couple of things...one is a cellphone and the other is internet access. Both my sister and I have and use our cellphones constantly. We don't use land-lines and the cellphones are one way that family can keep in touch with us. We use our cellphones not only for personal use but also for my sister's online magazine (she reunites adoptees and birth families)and she is also an EMLA Search Angel (helping adoptees find their birth family medical backgrounds in emergencies)~so our internet and cell phone bills would in this instance be considered a need rather than a want.

I don't have a tv, don't own a car (my sister does), no designer anything. We have moved often in the last three years and our material possessions can fit into six totes of various sizes (each) and a suitcase. When one is unemployed, you learn quickly what is needed, useful and necessary and you don't live beyond your means....

I look at the person...see his character, his personality. Do his words match his actions or is he an all boorish individual?

I have no need for a man to financially support me. I have supported myself since I was 14 and have never looked at as a wallet. That is degrading and disgusting IMO.

I can't believe the "me" then and the "me" now. For a period, I had hidden me, then tried to rush finding me after my ex and I separated and then completely lost "me."

Kinda messy but a good learning experience.

Today was a little better Yabba. Had two papers to write for school and normally that would send me into a bad craving but managed to write the papers and only had mild cravings....

I think sometimes its a balance of our past influences, our own tendency to overthink and our partner's past influences and tendencies to overthink.

A good balance would be the ability to go with the flow, talk when needed, support one another and learn how to actively listen to one another. JMO

They shouldn't be but we are human after all and tend to bring "outside" influences into our relationships, a lot of times without realizing we do and then sort of questioning our partner's reactions, words, thoughts, internalizing what they "did/did not do" against our experiences.

We want to be free of the past influences but sometimes they sneak in and can zap a relationship; although I think we should give ourselves credit for recognizing some potential "influences" and trying our best to give a relationship all we have.
