Probably because all of us at some point; myself included, could have or have been in relationships that have torn our hearts apart, bad divorces, cheated on and beaten and so on.
It takes time to heal and possibly some good counseling but having a defeatist attitude towards relationships, getting involved with others, etc.; only leads one to extend that outwards into other aspects of their lives. People have a choice to be happy or make do with what they have or do not have; being and acting defeated only makes their lives more miserable. IMO
Makes no sense to me why someone would say they would not ever get involved with another person. Does that include day to day interactions with various individuals? What about one's work? One's family? Or do they just not want to be in a relationship because that actually takes some work and effort and they can't be bothered to see past themselves?
Everyone should learn the basics of cooking and how to feed themselves a healthy, satisfying meal. That being said, if all you want is someone to cook for you, hire a chef.....
RE: I will not get involved with another person again
Oooohhh! The van!
