I hear the Maui waltz It brings back memories I hear the Maui waltz And you are haunting me
The night you told me That you loved me so But no one told me That when the dance was through I'd be losing you
I hear the Maui waltz And my arms are empty now I hear the Maui waltz But it doesn't hurt somehow 'Cause you're here with me When the music starts to play Play on, play on Maui waltz
Why not? Gilbert & Sullivan not only made great songs, some were quite hilarious and could be considered subversive for their time!
When my daughter was twelve, she asked for the works of Shakespeare for her birthday and asked that I get her the track to Carmen. It was something she wanted, as the closest she got to the classics at home was listening to Bugs Bunny cartoons and I did read Shakespeare, I enjoyed Chaucer more....
I think the genre's will always be around. What you listen to now, what you read now, what you watch now will be considered "classics" in a few short years.
Opera, Theater, Poetry, Music will always be a part of mankind; whether it is subsidized by a government or not.
RE: How many times a day to make love
Would that not be between the consenting adults to decide?
