Some professions only require drug testing if an individual appears to be intoxicated or high while on the job. Some require drug testing before hire. It is up to the companies....
I can see where large families can be daunting to others. It appears this couple have managed to raise their family and do so without assistance from their government and a part-time nanny during the times the mother is at work.
Nothing appears to be out of order and if it works for them, why should it bother anyone else?
Bear in mind though, that some families can become "big" through marriages also, and that in itself can be daunting, blending two families together.
