However, we need to take better care of the 70% and be less concerned that the rich get richer.
Wow lol am just 1 Spectator
Should I ask how all are doing ? Or wait patiently for some veggies n dip ? Popcorn maybe ?
New Jersey USA
Is your real motive for asking that question jealousy ?
'
Well J I have never in my life been jealous of anything or anyone.
That is not likely to change as in a few months I will be 83 years old
It was simply that I did not think there was anything wrong with what V said.
He was open and very honest.
It looks that L could not take it gracefully and lashed out in a not very nice way '
It is made in Denmark by the same same company, same product, sold in Canada and in USA. Americans pay $422 in USA, but can drive over the border and by it for $31.70 in Canada. But if you don't live close to the border, what then ? And who pocket the profit ? Right, American companies.
I have worked with blue collar workers with broken collar bone and other medical issues that went untreathed because they could not afford medical help. Could not continue their work, and ...well, it did not end that well. Oh, there are too many stories. I don't understand why so many don't seem to figure out that this is "only in America".
and taking no salary for all his grief and hard work
Indeed, compared to the money he is getting paid to shell 'companies' from foreign governments for 'favors', it is chicken feed. It's also chicken feed compared to the taxpayer's money that is spent on
him golfing all over the place using Air Force 1.
Plus, presidents get paid for life. You can bet after he leaves office, that he will collect those checks.
He's just doing it now to fool people, like you.
Thanks for commenting...like he is the only person that travels...lol...
Perhaps he needs to watch the video clip I presented...
Poverty is a reality for many folks...
Hey...thanks for your comment...
Bernie is a good man...
Some people are clueless...
Thanks for stopping by...
Nothing wrong with taking matters in your own hands sort to speak...but I do believe that if you work...you should be getting a living wage...not working 2-3 jobs in order to pay rent and put food on the table...
Thanks for your comment...
Now they are giving stimulus packages to companies that made Billions of dollars yearly.
The lower class must pick up the crumbs and say THANK YOU.
There's a reason why I don't complain about other countries and their choices or status. You should stick to your own home. You don't know enough about mine.
Ignoring the downtrends and the cause, then ignoring the up trends and the reason, doesn't make for any type of reasonable "talking point". In fact, it's not much of a point when you start looking at other countries around the globe.
You can still trace much of it back to government, population, and opportunity. Freedom of choice plays some roles too. Not every quite has that.
Considering that many people will not be able to afford getting sick...or have no savings...the government needs to help regular folks out...not just throwing money at corporations...
Thanks for dropping by...
Like telling someone to go back to your own country...lol...
Putting up a Canadian article does not make you worthy...
The blog was simply to address the change of poverty seen in recent years...and if you watched the video...you would see my point of view...
A mix of socialism and capitalism seems good...taking care of people because people matter...a healthy population is the best outcome...
Thanks for your comment
You have said or done a single thing to help where it could have.
Agree with you...Scandinavian society treats people well...they do not act like heathens...probably because their needs are being met...
The debt, and taxes, rise accordingly. Tax hikes might be delayed but governments are stretched.
The Scandinavians aren't as well set as many are made out to be.
Canada, U.K., Britain, the U.S., Sweden. No country or region is exempt.
They've started more towards Capitalism, but if any one might be able to fully boast putting a dent in poverty more then a few percentage points, it could be China.
They claim a market economy but they co-exist with Capitalism and entrepreneurs. The last claim I read was around 16 million plus in poverty. Down from around 750 million over the decades.
Then we're told we can't trust China's figures and numbers on any thing.
The very rich know the very poor will go away eventually and therefore can safely ignore them.
My country has its own problems...but we have universal healthcare...we live longer...our social programs are indeed helping the poor...I would like to see more free education aimed at the ones who cannot afford a higher education...not perpetuate the cycle of poverty...
Oh and the video...if you actually watched it...contains information that many are unaware of...black people being discriminated against...having no septic system...and living in squalor and getting hookworms...why the UN decided to investigate...although your beloved government dismissed his findings...
Lets make America great again...lol...
It's an attitude problem - begrudging other people getting something.
If someone goes through college or an apprenticeship (usually not paying back student loads for half their working life), they don't need 2 or 3 jobs to pay their bills in Europe.
No country is perfect, the financial climate is getting rougher, but should I ever hit hard times, I'll rather live in Europe.
Make America Great Again For the Billionaires
or perhaps the G is for Grate (as in grating their teeth)
Yes...it is called living with less stress factors...Canada has some good social safety nets...we resemble Europe in our attitudes...
Ya...the middle class ends up paying more...and the poor fade away...
Greed is king...
No one is denied. It's unlawful. Extremely unlawful in the case of children.
A private practitioner can limit and/or select their clientele. Hospitals and clinics can not. No one can deny treatment for a serious injury.
As far as work, that's a choice. Many people choose to work as clerks, walmart greeters, etc. No one seems realize how many people do not actually want to work. If it's too much effort; lie, cry, and complain that you can't live but don't get off your duff to do any thing about it.
I paid and worked my way through college. Twice. It's not up to the government. The opportunities are there.
no matter how little someone earns, they will be able to get medical treatment when needed in Europe and basically any other Western country.

And it is time that Americans get as good treatment.
