There are two ways to catch a crocodile without getting eaten yourself.

The first method is preferred by game wardens. You set out bait and you wait. When the croc comes to the bait, you shoot him with a anaesthetic arrow. You wait again; until you are sure that he is asleep.

Then you tie his front legs together; ditto for his hind legs. You administer another stiff dose of anaesthetics. You tie up his mouth. Then you push a very long pole between his tied up legs. Then tie his tail very well to the pole and carry him off. This method is often used for the purpose of research or relocation.

The alternative method is preferred by the FBI. They send a new recruit into the bush to catch a lizard. After being handcuffed and informed of its rights, they take him to a small room where he will be beaten with batons until he signs a confession that he is a crocodile. This method is often used for the purpose of closing a case.

But now who wants to catch a crocodile?

Is it me, or are all the personal attacks on people here on the blogs reducing the blog activity by people? If so, what a great way of trying to make a meaningful connection with somebody....encourage them not to return.

Procrastination is my nemesis and perversely, my best friend too.

Today has been a prime example.

There's just one thing that I really have to do today. I have to finish filling out my student reports for work.

Have I done it yet? Of course not! And why not? Her name is procrastination!

There are, however, two sides to every coin.

In order to avoid this gut-wrenchingly boring, not to mention arduous task, I've scraped all the ice out of the freezer, tied up my tomato plants, done a load of washing, stuck the lino floor back down (my own version of the San Andreas fault was developing along the kitchen floor) and made soup.

I hate you, procrastination. But without you, those little jobs would just never get done!

I am new here in this web site. I really surprised by the way of some members handle conversation. If you try to post comments, they will never answer your comments. Instead they will pick on small things of your comments such as;

•Copy and paste. They will tell you. You either creepy or stalker. At the same time they copy and paste your comments.

•They will do the impossible to shift your point by accusing you for example you against women if you are talking to female or you are looking for attention etc. To give answer to your comments that is the last thing they do.

They always talk about freedom of speech but how this works in their world. They can say anything they want but you do not. You should not have opinion so as long as you agree with us you will be fine otherwise we will insult you. They always talk about freedom of speech but they never act.

Welcome any comments as long as does not include insults words.

Take the hot dogs and cut them in quarters. Use as many as you feel you will need. Take the noodles and break them in 1/2.
Poke the noodles through the dogs. Cook the “spiders” as the noodle package dictates, in a pot of water with a little salt. Remove from the water when the noodles are done!

when one should simply say "goodbye".

Now, I can't say it hasn't been fun,
because most of the time,
it HAS been.

But, the time has come and
I can't delay it much longer.

Well, at least, not until I get to Florida.
I'm leaving on my annual 'snowbird' winter vacation
tomorrow and probably won't log on tomorrow at all.
I'm driving all day tomorrow and a lot of the next day too.
It will probably take me 2 days to get there
and perhaps a few more to get the internet back on.

So, not only will I be on an extended vacation,
but you will be on a vacation from hearing from me.
You lucky dogs !


I will be in sunny Florida for the rest of winter
and will not return to NJ until mid-March, or so.
I have to be back in time for baseball & softball.
In the meantime I will be exploring the Floridian wildlife.

So, if you are in the area and want to share a canoe ride,
