There's a great future in SA...but you must have a plan. Here's mine:(Thats the authors plan, not mine...)

1. There are many places much worse than South Africa....with grinding poverty, authoritarian governments and failed states. People still, somehow, make a life for themselves and their loved ones. Maybe there's a lesson there for us.

2. Africa's political leadership is notoriously inept, self-serving and fundamentally corrupt. Get over it.

3. To make matters much worse, most South African cannot distinguish between leaders and common criminals when voting, and therefore give the whole process a semblance of democratic respectably. Join a political party that can deal with this conundrum, or start your own.

4 State services will collapse. Buy a generator, and whatever else you need to live a decent life

Yup, whole villages, and while few of us (any?) could afford one on our own, CS, this is our chance to turn our global on-line village into the real deal for returning to a simpler, happier life, or even just time-share holidays We could squabble in PERSON!

For those who don't follow links, $230K (negotiable) will buy us 100 acres, 6 houses, 2 farms and even a stand-alone bread-making kitchen ... a nice little starter village, plenty of room to expand.

okay that's Northwest Spain, not many of our resident bloggers in that area (actually probably none) and even the article doesn't rave about the weather. Still knocks holes in Scottish weather, mind.

But it isn't the only village, probably just the cheapest. There are hundreds - even thousands - in lush fertile areas left abandoned as rural Spaniards move to the cities. We could be onto something amazing here.



In the first comment I will put the description of the village in question. Oh boy.

i just commented on one of Hams blogs and he mentioned that there were several musicians on this site. OK, settled! Let's form a band and we will call it "The C/S'ers".

Who wants to join and what do you want to do in the band? And since this is just a cyberband then let's get those members that want to sing and put on a dance show. C'mon you girls! Join in and, to everyone, let's have some fun and post the songs you want to do!!

For those of you not chucking your fingers down your throat in an effort to throw up, I hope you are reaching for the tissues to dab the tears welling in your eyes whilst curtailing your sniffles and trying to stabilize your quivering lip.

This is what I deem to be one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard delivered. For those who did not have an opportunity to witness it, and for those who want to revisit it, I post it for your enjoyment. Ladies & gentlemen, our newly president-elect Barack Obama.

A and B have finally met! Kolkata's first luxury mall QUEST was formally inaugurated by the chief minister on behalf of the bengal government on the last week of september. World renowned celebrities like Richard Clayderman and Sourav Ganguly were present to celebrate the grand event. The mall hosts hundreds of luxury brands around the world which includes louis vuitton, gucci, burberry etc. India's first michelin-starred restaurant has also opened there. The QUEST mall is the second largest in eastern India after SOUTH CITY ( where i go primarily for caviar shopping ). As the M2M ( malls for the mass ) segment became heavily congested retailers are now looking for growth opportunities at the top of the pyramid. The other luxury malls which opened recently are DLF EMPORIO ( delhi ), PALLADIUM ( mumbai ), and UB CITY ( bengaluru ).
