Deer Hunting Question

Deer Hunting Question

If I shoot a buck, but I only have a doe tag, can I claim that the buck wasn't really a buck??? I mean … maybe he'd always wanted to be a doe, but with no choice of his own he was born with the physical attributes of a male. And yet … on the inside he'd always known he was truly a female.

I'm just wondering if the game warden will buy this concept, because society and the Supreme Court has.

What do you think?

Cringe Worthy

Do you ever read a blog and actually cringe? Maybe even feel the bile rise in your throat?

I have read a few....ones where someone, in my mind, is kind of icky boasting about their s*xual prowess for instance. Or ones where someone writes as an authority but it is evident they are ignorant or crazy?

I appreciate you bloggers who make me laugh and who give me glimpses into your lives. The ones that cause those wtf moments?.....not so much

OUT OF THE CLOSET……….
Yes my fellow bloggers, I think it is high time that I came out of the closet and admit a few things.

Yes
I like the animal that blogs, his intelligence should not be ignored, and yes he does go too far at times with some remarks, but all in all his blogs r good reading.
Yes
I like the lady from somewhere over the rainbow, a bit testy at times, but clever humour at others, also I like the Norwegian Marvel, whose humour is sometimes missed in his writings, he can be very forthright and quirky, but I like him anyway. I also like a cup of coffee, keeps me going and thinking what next. Then there is the Bulgarian beauty with brains, always thoughtful and insightful, then there is the one who has just returned from holidays, she is a breath of fresh air, and a lady sitting down who has a sense of humour is always fun, of course I cannot forget the snowy haired one who loves a beer from down under, he has come on in leaps and bounds recently and is a good down to earth all round nice guy, his mate would be proud to see him using his name. I can’t forget the tree hugger, ah what a lady, she sees only the positive in us all, and there is a lady that spends some time in Mauritius but now in Sth Africa, what a gem she is. It would be remiss of me if I didn’t admit to liking the queen of jokes, all 12 of her, she makes me smile with her jokes, almost forgot the Greek God himself, took me a while to warm to him, but I have, I guess u just have to understand his thinking, of course the resident DJ from N.Z is always ready with a song or 10. I even like the monster with the dog, he is sometimes funny, and thoughtful too.
Although she has gone, the plain one was always good for a quick pick me up, as is the one whose actions speak louder than words, the stone shall not throw any so I like him to, number 7 is good as is the one whose name suggests a living place, the lovely lady poet is great value as is the guy whose name I can’t pronounce or even write but starts and ends with an I and i cant forget the St. from S.A. always good value.
In fact there r many, many more I like, but word restrictions do not allow me the space to hint at who they r. If I have missed u, pls do not worry, because I guess know I like u all.
even the colorful one
handshake cheers handshake doh
Finally

So there I have come out from the closet for all to see.

Being single is better than with a guy unhappy

I am in Abu Dhabi, and I met a young Phillipina. She is very upbeating and efficient at home. I like her quick personality. And later on I found out she is single also. Then she told me: she had been with a guy,but the guy also secretly going out with other girls. So now she is alone, and I encourage her to look for new boyfriend,

She said: being alone is better than being with a guy unhappy. Maybe it is right from some angle. I know to be together with another person, people have to alter or compromise. In ideal world, a guy loves a woman, and being together, there should not be any disputes, but in fact, we do have differences, so that in life: Idealism is very beautiful, but real life is completely another thing.

Older Women

(I LOVE THIS!)

SHE WALKED UP AND TIED HER OLD MULE TO THE HITCHING POST.

AS SHE STOOD THERE, BRUSHING SOME OF THE DUST FROM HER FACE AND CLOTHES, A
YOUNG GUNSLINGER STEPPED OUT OF THE SALOON WITH A GUN IN ONE HAND AND A
BOTTLE OF WHISKEY IN THE OTHER.

THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER LOOKED AT THE OLD WOMAN AND LAUGHED, "HEY OLD WOMAN,
HAVE YOU EVER DANCED?"

THE OLD WOMAN LOOKED UP AT THE GUNSLINGER AND SAID, "NO, I NEVER DID
DANCE... NEVER REALLY WANTED TO."

A CROWD HAD GATHERED AS THE GUNSLINGER GRINNED AND SAID, "WELL, YOU OLD
BAG, YOU'RE GONNA DANCE NOW," AND STARTED SHOOTING AT THE OLD WOMAN'S FEET.

THE OLD WOMAN PROSPECTOR -- NOT WANTING TO GET HER TOE BLOWN OFF --
STARTED HOPPING AROUND. EVERYBODY WAS LAUGHING.
WHEN HIS LAST BULLET HAD BEEN FIRED, THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER, STILL LAUGHING,
HOLSTERED HIS GUN AND TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK INTO THE SALOON.

THE OLD WOMAN TURNED TO HER PACK MULE, PULLED OUT A DOUBLE-BARRELED
SHOTGUN, AND COCKED BOTH HAMMERS. THE LOUD CLICKS CARRIED CLEARLY THROUGH THE
DESERT AIR.

THE CROWD STOPPED LAUGHING IMMEDIATELY.

THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER HEARD THE SOUNDS, TOO, AND HE TURNED AROUND VERY
SLOWLY. THE SILENCE WAS ALMOST DEAFENING.

THE CROWD WATCHED AS THE YOUNG GUNMAN STARED AT THE OLD WOMAN AND THE
LARGE GAPING HOLES OF THOSE TWIN BARRELS.

THE BARRELS OF THE SHOTGUN NEVER WAVERED IN THE OLD WOMAN'S HANDS, AS SHE
QUIETLY SAID,

"SON, HAVE YOU EVER KISSED A MULE'S a**?"

THE GUNSLINGER SWALLOWED HARD AND SAID, "NO M'AM... BUT... I'VE ALWAYS
WANTED TO."

THERE ARE A FEW LESSONS HERE FOR ALL OF US:
1 - Never be arrogant.
2 - Don't waste ammunition.
3 - Whiskey makes you think you're smarter than you are.
4 - Always, always make sure you know who has the power.
5 - Don't mess with old women; they didn't get old by being stupid...

And that's a fact!

I JUST LOVE A STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING, DON'T YOU?

Who are the alpha females on this site? closed for comments

I notice some women are competing for alpha female status and is this to impress men?
Is it for ego boost? Is it to boss over other women? What’s your view on the alpha females?

A Grateful Heart

A Thanksgiving Day compilation NOVEMBER 27, 2014

Every day should be Thanksgiving Day—a time to thank God for all our many blessings. We should be thankful and treasure every moment of every day and constantly be praising and thanking God for it. Every day can be Christmas if the Spirit of Christmas lives in our hearts. Every day can be every holiday rolled into one when we make it so in our hearts and live it so through our actions.—David Brandt Berg

*

It was Thanksgiving Day and I was ten years old. I was in a welfare ward of a city hospital and was scheduled to undergo major orthopedic surgery the next day. I knew that I could only look forward to months of confinement, convalescence, and pain. My father was dead; my mother and I lived alone in a small apartment and we were on welfare. My mother was unable to visit me that day.

A young student nurse heard my sobbing and came over to me. She took the covers off my face and started wiping my tears. She told me how lonely she was, having to work that day and not being able to be with her family. She asked me whether I would have dinner with her. She brought two trays of food: sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and ice cream for dessert. She talked to me and tried to calm my fears. Even though she was scheduled to go off duty at 4 P.M., she stayed on her own time until almost 11 P.M. She played games with me, talked to me and stayed with me until I finally fell asleep.

Many Thanksgivings have come and gone since I was ten, but one never passes without me remembering that particular one and my feelings of frustration, fear, loneliness, and the warmth and tenderness of the stranger that somehow made it all bearable.—Martin Ginsberg

*

A Thanksgiving Day editorial in the newspaper told of a schoolteacher who asked her class of first-graders to draw a picture of something they were thankful for. She thought of how little these children from poor neighborhoods actually had to be thankful for. But she knew that most of them would draw pictures of turkeys or tables with food. The teacher was taken aback with the picture Douglas handed in—a simple, childishly drawn hand.

But whose hand? The class was captivated by the abstract image. “I think it must be the hand of God that brings us food,” said one child.

“A farmer,” said another, “because he grows the turkeys.”

Finally when the others were at work, the teacher bent over Douglas’ desk and asked whose hand it was. “It’s your hand, teacher,” he mumbled.

She recalled that frequently at recess she had taken Douglas, a scrubby, forlorn child, by the hand. She often did that with the children. But it meant so much to Douglas. Perhaps this was everyone’s Thanksgiving, not for the material things given to us but for the chance, in whatever small way, to give to others.—Author unknown

I like the contented way the Pilgrims approached life. They did not allow their feelings or circumstances to determine whether or not they would exercise gratitude and thanksgiving. They believed that God was in control—“providence,” they called it. Following this belief to its logical conclusion, they responded to challenges with a perspective that said, “God has allowed this for our good.” They chose to believe—rightly so—that their dependence on a holy, faithful God was well placed and that even though much was against them, there was always much more for which to be grateful.—Barbara Rainey

*

As we enter Thanksgiving, we tend to focus on our blessings and giving thanks for God’s goodness. While that is certainly a good thing, it is not the best thing. The best thing is to turn Thanksgiving into Thanks-living. Regardless of the day or the situation, God wants us to be thankful. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
