Dark Hours

Darkness falls upon the soul
The heart is beating slow
The eyes do search the sky no more
Hope has become a foe.

Pain and Tears as company
Doom seems to wander close
Despair drains colours from the world
Dust covers every rose.

All music sounds like death bells now
Dull seems the brightest spark
Lost and alone in agony
Your hours have turned dark...

About this poem:
Well, it isn't all about fairies, sometimes they just fly off and leave us in the hands of monsters, don't they...

Cybornatic Humanoid Zombie

Demonic rustle grey hair,
With piercing purple eyes,
Ironic half crescent smile,
Descending Angel cliff nose,

Ancient twin crater ears,
Muscular god like form,
Titanium arms and hands,
Sand blasted concrete legs,

Son of the morning and night,
Neither a sense of good or bad,
A sentinel being not of nature,
It does not love, hate or care.

Is he first man made cyborg?
Or the devil hand made zombie?
Did God forget to give him a soul?
Is he in the land of the living or dead?

A million died in his hands,
Demons, angels and human from every land,
Trying to use him for their selfish ambition,
Only to bring back total destruction upon themselves .

There is no judgement for him,
No trial, for what he did,
Now there is a blood price on his head,
By decree from powerful kings and priests.

About this poem:
I am going thru some mood swings
with a pinch of depression
so Forgive me me if i don't remark as often as i do. . . as my flu is also a bugging nuisance that's making me out to be. . .

Monsters

Monsters
I see them every day
The couple who let their dog out all night on a chain
So it wakes me up at 3:30 am
Cold and scared because their owners forget him out there
Monsters
I see them at work
The ones who yell at you
The ones who just ignore you
The bosses who don't seem to care at all
Monsters
I see them on tv
On commercials for lending companies
On commercials for pills with horrible side effects
On commercials peddling crap to kids
On commercials enticing adults with salt, fat, and sugar
All of it crap to waste their hard earned money on
Monsters
I voted for them
Clinton and Obama
Raising taxes
Forcing bad health insurance
Turning hard working people into bums
Wasting our money and piling up massive debt
Monsters
They haunt my past
The bullies
The bad teachers
The bad dad
The coworkers and bosses who were mean or ignored me
Monsters
Sometimes I wonder
Would Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, and The Mummy match up to these?
Probably not

About this poem:
Reading a lot of nonfiction books on some real monsters. Jeffrey Dahmer, Last Meals, stories on last meals served to executed prisoners (cheeseburger ranks as the most popular last meal request) and the mother of David Peltzer who wrote a book "A Child Called It."

The Beginning

Dead as far as eye can see
Scattered all around her
No sound to be heard, no living thing
Alone, she was lost and lonely

Slowly she rose, looked around
Surely there was a way to escape here
With careful steps around bodies she trod
There had to be an end to this carnage

Dark red blood soaked the ground
Made the going rather dangerous
Once or twice she almost slipped
If fallen might never have risen

For hours she walked, her legs ached
Till she reached a clearing
With the dead left far behind
Her face was set to the setting sun

The night she spent in fitful sleep
Her dreams were full of horrors
Why she had survived at all
This knowledge to her not given

The rising sun a new day brought
Just another day for survival
If she had survived there was a chance
That somewhere there could be another

choice

What will they say
What will they say on judgement day
What will they say with tear filled eyes and handfuls of clay

What will they say
What will they think
What will they do as they walk away

What will they say as you hear the tapping of clay
Clay tapping on the wood as you lay inside and start to decay

The last good bye to which you can’t reply
Who will it be that lays a rose or will they be too embarrassed to stand out from the rows
Or will they be alone to just to make sure they lay the final stone

What will they say
What will they think
What will they do as they walk away

So as you lay there on this final day
Your final representation is freshly turned clay
Will it be a field of regret or will they say you did your best
Will a single figure stand for you
To say good bye and whisper I loved you

What will they say
What will they think
What will they do as they walk away

So now as the party starts
Will they tell stories and laugh
Or will it be one person just raising a glass
As you fade away into the past

What will they say
What will they think
What will they do as they walk away

Only you can tell
Only you can write
Only you can try to do what is right

Fuel what they say fuel what they write and hopefully your memory will shine bright on judgement day

Did You Ever Exist?

Sound of mirror breaking shatters the silence
Shards fly through the air reflecting light
A crazy kaleidoscope of colours on the walls
Within micro seconds, though feels like hours
They settle on the floor, their passing only a memory

Where have you gone? Your light that was bright
Casting warmth into all dark corners
Now only a memory, a forgotten promise
Rain washes all away, ushers in a new day
Silence there is, stillness under the cold light of the sun

Abyss

Take a moment to breathe, trying not to scream. But you're dying and I can't save you. Doing everything I can, trying not to let go of your hand. But I can't seem to save you. As your life leaves from your eyes, I see and can only hope I tried...

What am I supposed to do? Sit around and wait for it too. You're dead, and now its over. Holding on to your favorite object, close to my heart and I won't drop it. You're so far gone and I'm alone...

Some people call it heaven, some call it a rainbow bridge. I just want to know where the pain ends. Where did it all began? Where is my most trusted friend? Who's going to keep me from falling under?

Take a breath to heal my wounds. Someday again I'll see you. Peaceful.
Take a breath to keep myself, from going to a path of hell. I can only hope I'll see you somewhere. If only I knew which one of us is there...

Lost in the Clouds

I want to change my path
But my will is weak
My soul love battered
Now I walk alone
On this path of slumber
A forever high
Digging a hole
Into nothingness
Where Puff the magic dragon
And reality hides
I've lost my way
In a cloud of smoke
It's time I must return

The Day Mary Died

Today is the day that I will die
This the cards have told me
No matter how I shuffled and dealt
The outcome never altered

How I will die I do not know
The cards have not foretold me
Just each card next to the other lays
Spelling doom, gloom and disaster

How to escape this planned fate
No ideas to me were forthcoming
Should I go out, meet fate head on.
Or stay home, under my bed be hiding

This way and that my mind did sway
And ended up going round in circles
The cards are right, they’re never wrong
I was assured by the fortuneteller.

An evil smile played across her face
As she lifted and aimed a Colt revolver
Across the table a picture she slid
Once seen, all my question were answered

The photo was of her wedding day
Her husband, this man was my secret lover
As the bullet tore through, snuffed my life
I prayed to God for forgiveness

Warden

Lost in thought I put pen to paper,
Things to read and think on later,
My mind like a vault I open slowly,
So many things that have been shown me,
Unbarring doors and opening gates,
Safeguards so they don't escape,
These thoughts that would wreak havok
On the average mans mind,
Endlessly raging and screaming in mine,
I stand guard as a warden in prison,
Amid ghastly demons and horrid visions,
Whispering while I try not to listen...
