The Dark Call

Darkness beckons with pretty fingers
Silken voice
Smooth like honey
Come make a choice
Enter in my warmth
Let me enter you
Together, I can make your wildest dreams come true
Afraid to go in
My head starts to spin... I see the shapes
They twist within, writhing, no dancing...
I hear my name
Dark at war with the light
As I stand on the edge
Fight or flight
A victim of Medusa, I must be
Please help me
I want to flee
Oh come to me now
Love's truest Knight
And take me o'er
Help me fight
I will not surrender
I have a hope still
While I'm alive,
It is called...
My Will.

About this poem:
thinking about desires, and the need to remain logical and not surrender to those desires... don't know if to call this a poem though...or whether it is dark poetry or fantasy...maybe both

Secret Eyes

If all the world was square
should I go beyond and fall off

If all the world was round
shall I keep going
then shelter out of boredom
in my loft

If all the rain drops hurt
shall I sneak away
to my pages

If all the drops were velvet
should I now unbolt my cages

If rainbows hid my love of life
should I not cry
for want
of unbridled strife

If all scratched and broken clouds
teamed with softer palette's

Was it me that fell
amongst the
cruel and broken mallet

If all was just a play
upon one word
shall I

not seek
yet spin my merry soul

to lite the fire
of my loving dark

Cutting Coal

Dynamite

Were no different...Me and You
I got this list of things to do
Accomplishments before I'm through
Most times I try to play it cool
Just don't cross the line I drew
I'm walking around with loose screws
And I just might go off...Kaboom!

The Hardening (Part 3)

Fields of glory rolling outside my window

Bodies of bronze by suns caressing warmth

One body my body already knows

He takes me to the stars and the heavens

Dreams aspire reaching for the tallest skies

Fields of glory reaching for suns desire

To quench the thirst then reap the crops of lies

Tend the fields walk away empty handed

There's a wolf out amongst the laden sheep

Blood upon hands of proclaimed innocence

Kill them all where the blood has surely seeped

No clean hands remain to the unaware

Jealousy a motive for killing fields

You reap what you sow, your harvest will yield

The Shadow

What is a Shadow? When you walk or run you give it life,
But when the light's reflection is gone it disappears, that is
Until, the sun comes up or the street lights go on.
But were does this lifeform go in the absence of light ?

Does it die or is it reborn again, it can't be the case
Of life as we know it. The Shadow always manages to come
Back when the sun is high, and it follows you everywhere
It seems to be an entity, a phantom that can reinvent

Itself at will. It is more than just a reflection of our human
Aura, it is a creation brought about by light. It cannot talk,
Eat or sleep and it is not a living being as we know it
But it never dies because it has never lived. It is a

Nondescript lifeform that is always present in light conditons.
It cannot be explained but it seems as real as you or I.
In the Shadow World we would be the reflection of the Shadow.

King Kong

I growl,
A carnal,
Primal shout,
For crying out loud,
I pound the ground,
Hit my chest with my fist,
Like King Kong I'm pissed,
Your attack helicopters missed,
And I smashed them to bits
with a flick of my wrist...

The Change

There he stood across the room
in a corner on his own

Amongst all others at an event
he did not need to pretend

A Virgin Adonis in his own right
So youthful and like the northern light'

He walked across the room with ease
Like a midnight summers breeze

Suddenly he stopped right in front of me
Whispering into my ear - just forget thee

He swept me of my feet all night long
and let me forget the kings' wrong

At dawn the Prince replaced the impersonating King
completing me with a new meaning.

Le roi est mort, vive le roi!
The king is dead, Long live the King!

Metaphorically speaking old gets replaced with new once it has done its purpose.

Freedom of a Nomad

As a restless Nomad I searched near and far for a place to belong
then he came into my life and gave me love and a place to call home.

Years and years passed by without a blame all so happy and content
then one day at dawn I packed my bags again without a word and went

Freedom was there for me to take as I pleased without the shackles and chains
I ran freely through poppy fields, down the river and back up across plains

To seek out a new life on the horizon which was tailor suited only to me;
Since then years gone by, but still with hope that one day, I shall find thee.

he still kills

I dont know know to say
i dont know what to do
it only happens when i think of you
you haunt my mind
and destory my dreams
i cannot get away from you
no matter how hard i try
the only color i know see is red
as it slides down
the pressure is released
and you gone for a while
the metal sits on the table
hot from where it was held
so rough
this is wrong i know it
but no one will listen
no oneunderstands
what is happening inside my head
he wont go away
he never will
he has always been there
since i was a little girl
what do i do
what do i say
to make these thoughts go away
nothing makes sence
i doubt it ever will
i just want someone to talk to
but no one will
i take up to much time
take up to much space
how do i know who to trust
who wont tell my secrets
i have to go now
to try and sleep
but he will rid me of peaceful dreams
this time i will be tempted but will not exacute
for seven years now that i have done
it is time to stop this
i dont know what to do
or what even to feel
for now i will fake smiles
and happy faces
but in my heart
because of him
i will slowly die

Spirit I Know You.

I know you spirit,
That I cannot see.
For I,
Glide silently with you,
You fail,
To see me.

You are, the ghost I haunt the most,
I call to you,
But my voice falls on quiet silence.
As do my tears,
For my voice, You fail to hear.

I hear my echo scream in my ears,
Whilst I glide silently after you.
YOU,
Always at arms reach from me.
I call,
Still I call,
My heart falling.

I drift silently down,
From the attic of my mind,
I rest on my pillow,
Awaiting slumber.
I whimper silently, to you again.
You fade.

I am the spirit,
Thats haunting me,
I awake,
Look in the mirror.
T'is my spirit,
I cannot see......
