Sorrow

Sorrow

it hits you hard, like a bolt
when you least expect it,
crushing you down to the floor
I struggle to make it up
to get back up on my feet
But then the next wave knocks me
tumbling, rolling me over and over
will it ever stop I ask, I plea
tears rolling down my face
I try in vain to get back up
each wave relentlessly knocks me over
pulling me down, down into black despair
will it ever stop, leave me alone, i ask
I so want it too, I need to break free
As I lie on that desolate dark shore
I look around, nothing, nothing at all
just blackness, hell surely can't be worse
and the pain, the heart wrenching relentless pain
tearing at my very soul, I sink down despairingly
will I ever see the sun again, feel its warm rays
live free in its bright light,
on days like this I doubt that I will
my lot, it seems is this stark, dark cold place

The Witch’s Secret

Sunken stones in an ancient wood
mark the foundations where a dwelling stood.

Within a ring of giant oaks
once stood that abode where darkness cloaks
the ground on which only toadstools grow,
and the forest creatures will not go.

They say an artful witch lived there,
who hid a formula somewhere
among the ruins of that site.
That place where even day is night.

I heard the story of that place
and went in search to find a trace
of that old secret that was hidden.
To the eyes of mortal man forbidden.

I fought through thicket, thorn and bush,
forever onward did I push.
Driven by my blind ambition
to find the witch’s weird prescription.

Suddenly my way was barred
by a ring of oaks, all standing guard,
and within my breast my heart did race
from fear of that infernal place.

Yet, on I went into the clearing,
forcing back my dread and fearing
of the punishment those trees might wreak
on that forbidden game of hide-and-seek.

Then heaving out a desperate groan
from heaving up a massive stone;
heart thumping wildly in my breast,
I beheld the object of my quest.

A wooden casket half rotted away,
yet still protecting from decay,
a parchment furled and rolled up tight,
there, before my wide eyed sight.

That precious scroll, worth more than gold,
by trembling hands was soon unrolled.
And in my grasp, before my eye:
a recipe for acorn pie. blues

As I knelt there on that cold, dank ground,
from the circle of oaks there came a sound.
A murmur spread from tree to tree,
those accursed oaks were laughing at me. mumbling

Heavy Heart

My heart bleeds today with sorrow
this day now dark as night
yes you may ask me why
I tell you all this

we are poets one and all
so don't let envy cloud
what should be a perfect place
open your minds and hearts

just read the beauty of the words
here there should be no strife
as it stifles and smothers all
let peace reign here for all

listen only to the beauty
take inspiration and joy
from every written word
make here a serene place

poetry has no place for discord
it sours and poisons our souls
lets leave the outside world
and fill here with pure love

Alone in a Crowd!

Trapped in my lonely mind!

Alone in a Place called Hell

The torch of hell

I know it well

It’s where I dwell

Tis a lonely room

Tis my prison's tomb

Tis my wish to leave it soon

All alone

I want to roam

Dam, hell is home

Oh, piety me

Oh, can’t you see

Oh, it’s not where I wish to be

I want to go away

I do not want to forever stay

I want to leave and play

Hot is hell

For some sinners, it is swell

It’s not where I wish to dwell

Oh! Piety me!

Some, like it hot

Florida it’s not

It’s a place where your sole will rot!

There’s no one left for me to share!

Let me out ….. I’m so alone!

Like a fishbowl smashed upon the floor

Someday I will be no more!

Alone in a crowd

Poet in a lonely Hell of his own making!

I am just like you!

I am NOT a prostitute,
I am just like you.
I was raped at the age of fifteen,
And at nine lost my virginity,
Fathers and uncles would treat me like play things,
To satisfy their lustful fantasy,
Brothers and cousins would molest,
And called it harmless seeking fun!
Then on my eighteen birthday,
I became a woman and whore,
An unmarried twenty and with a child,
I want to hide from the world and die!
Where is my life and happiness?
Been called a slut,b*tch and even worse..
Noone understand the shame and guilt inside of me,
What's next ..booze,drugs and stealing?
Damn you MF,AH and bastards ,
You took away everything I could love and cherish,
My breasts are sore from all those games,
Yet society says I am to be blamed,
It this fair to me?
I ask every mothers, sisters and single ladies...
I'm at the mercy of these creatures you live everyday with...
They are your husbands, lovers and fiances!
Dont tell me how faithful your man is..
When every other night he is screwing someone like me!
I will not help someone in need,
When noone came forward to save me.
But save the children from these monsters,
Or else I will rip the filthy hearts for all to see.
To hell and hades I ride them all,
When each day I face this world again.
Mark my words ,you'll pay someday,
And i'll be there cheering on that day!

Scarey Stuff

I lay to bed and went not to sleep
as fog raised like snuffs from cows
all was silent memories

a warmth only to face

Such sadden night was mine
turning upside down
a bent on wrong
tears laying
within my frown

I would want to write of deep strewn poetry
yet scattered upon the floor
kicked amongst the history
lay bleeding against the door

as scattered papers
and blood within the words
shrilled such wrong

ticking time
a distance song

I feared to look away
such grace
that one has shown

to fall upon your face

grappling irons
lay silent
as hanging
nightmares

stilled at times
with grief
and yet

as the shadows of my night befell me
cryptic screams
laying dormant

the sun moved into her place in time

I closed the book
of bloodlet crime

whats the network

what is the chip
an implant to the brain
through networks
crazy images
soon will everything
be sold on line
do,es that include souls
a deep inside
to a story
is this our children
sucked away by networks
our legacy
the beginning
of the future

the skeletons

as the skeletons
fall out of the cupboard
spiders webs attached
the distraction
slowly crawls out
a web of lies
like leaches
your drained of all truth
sucked in with lies
like a snake
i swallowed everyone
now i spit them back
with venom
truth hurts
cutting you to the bone
as the skeletons come out
the inner shell off you

A Fleeting Moment

For all the tangled journeys
a jumble
of laughter

at times
of anguished tears

to feel
the soft silken road

lifting screams of supreme allure
then afloat
a guiding wip

only the words of near
yet so far
a breath so stolen

hinged upon the madness

seeking melting within ones mouth
to only
Spit upon the worthy
then raise

clawed and bent
the closure of the den

Of stagnant waters
yet a running
of memory flows

You stand amongst me now
as i so trodden within the deep

I did
but only love

a mirror within my keep

let not you pray upon me
no please I beg

for you have known the dark
of words can only seal

I may have wronged you
pray pity on my life

I need not know
the
others
I turned and watched
throughout the strife

As aged legs and hollow eyes
See me
For I squander the meager
yet feel the narrowness gone

I shall not despise you
yet yes
you would of me

To hold what crumbled
soulless

I can only part to thee

I hear the rats of hunger
I feel the biting time

rags slipping from wracken limbs

a hope of life in death

or

to die
and just be dead

whom shall place the flowers

Do I know?
I am dead

(Wayne's challenge ) your shadow

Very dark and stark
The night's foreboding

Much like your shadow
Captivating yet intriguing.
