Back Door Daddy

Embedded image from another site

I know you've been cheated on
been fed a spoonful of lies
you need a back door daddy
a lover under the night skies
a man with a sharp axe to grind
come closer baby
see what you'll find...

Leave a key under back door mat
I'll be your back door man
coming to you like a stray cat
loving you any way I can..

Leave out some chicken with pork and beans
put on your lingerie prepare for a thrill
you and I will act out the obscene
sympathetically making you come at will...

I'll do things your man can't do
discreetly between us it's understood
coming through your back door the big bad wolf
get ready my little red riding hood...

Dead Things

Embedded image from another site

Would the world
still move forward
without me,
my absence unnoticed?

Am I cruel
to dream of a world
that ends when I do?

Would your eyes
close with mine?

Perhaps I will die
before I die
there will be
no death...

Without love
my heart, my soul
is a garden without sun
just dead things...

Love me
and we will live
in the hope
of becoming a memory...

Space Cowboy

Embedded image from another site

I'm a space cowboy
riding imaginary horses
with black light saddles
herding cows in my closet
my six shooter is my finger
making bullet sounds with my lips...

My ten gallon hat
filled with false optimism
borrowed from a circus clown
in a barnyard outhouse...

My posse are ghost riders
in the milky way
we lasso Taurus the bull
and have shoot outs
with villains
shaped as shadows
on the star dust trail....

Hide

I wear shades to hide my look
I wear dress to hide my body
I wear smile to hide my pain
I wear life to hide my death

Lottery Ruined My Life

I have just won the lottery of two million dollars. I say this as the money I recieved after the taxes were taken out. It has been about a year and you ask how much is left? Answer, I am broke, nothing is left. Where did it go? Here is where it went. New cars for my whole family, plus gas, insurance, repairs = 300,000 dollars. So now we are down to 1,700,000. So then it's eating out every meal for me and my friends = 40,000 dollars. New house and land = 1 million, so now we're down to 660,000 dollars. I gave 10% to the church, so that's 200,000 dollars, now we're down to 460,000 dollars. I got to pay my bills and I spent 1,000 dollars a day at Walmart, Cabelas, the Mall of America, etc. So there is where the rest went as well as 10 movies a week, popcorn, pop, etc. etc. So here I am 275 pounds, broke, my friends who I took along on this journey are all over 200 pounds as well and we are more miserable than ever. The lottery ruined my life, don't let it ruin yours!

About this poem:
This is based on real people who have won the lottery and 90 percent of all football athletes who end up blowing their millions on frivolous things like limos, private jets, and fancy meals.

Free From You..

You'll never again hurt me
the way you once did..
You will never again,
be able to tell me what to do,
Or who to see.. or what to be..
Because now I am finally free...

Never again will you tell me where to go..
This time around, I'm playing it my way..
And what will be, will be..
And no you don't get to have a say..

I'm in the driver's seat now..
And your mumbled thoughts in the back seat..
I don't even hear..
Finally I am living free from fear.

You are completely powerless over me..
As it always should have been..
I and only I speak for me..
As I should have done all along.
I'm finally free.
Of you.

The Nightmare Man

The night was very dark and deep
As I danced along the edge of sleep
I grasp the knocker on dream's door
And wait till I can wait no more
Body and mind surrenders and slumbers
And my dream self is left to lumber
Perplexed, being neither here nor there
Confused at being everywhere
Drifting in memories, sifting through time
With this dreamy hourglass of mine
The Nightmare Man wanders close nearby
Waiting to show me his next big surprise
My dream self starts to feel some fear
With a gasp I realize he is here
I feel him although he's not in sight
My dream body froze refusing to take flight
He whispers and caresses along my cheek
Tells me of the sadness he seeks
For he will forever haunt my dreams
Reminding me nothing is what it seems

Oh! Sweet Entrophy

Stepping over the woes of wretched days
i felled my head in silence

this hurts,
what is this?

the grated path that lay beneath me
now arose to hurt me

my feet are sore
My mind so weary,

my heart's not lonely
so I say

grappling my soul
so twisted and dark

when will the daylight
cradle me
caress me
and leave its mark

at times
all is so sore
could see
did not watch
so needed more

My world of so bitter despair?
head in hands I needed to care

i swam with the current of sadness
and took solace within the tide of madness

to my wilderness I wandered

then the dreams came upon me of tomorrow

All shall be well

As I Lie Dying

As the sun slowly sinks so my life sinks with it
All my dreams, my hopes, my life long ambitions
They come to nothing, to no meaning as the end draws near
All this gold, this wealth I have amassed
Not one day, not one hour, not one minute or even second
Will it gain me passed my allotted time
As I come with nothing so shall I take nothing with me
And none shall there be to mourn my passing
For in my quest to amass this wealth and power
Many a man and woman I have left broken in my wake
Friends and family I have none, enemies plenty
Already I can feel the vultures gathering to pick my bones
And icy fingers of terror grip my barely beating heart
It is at these last moments of life I see my error
Too late, had I but known different my end would be
As the last breath of life slips from my body
I can see the demons rushing to collect me
