My Endless Mission

I sit alone.
I write, I think.
Searching for just one conclusion,
One ending.
To feel complete.
There's a missing piece, a cold black hole,
Which never ends...
Oh! The quessiness it sends!
Where's the way out?
Why am I stuck?
Am I a prisoner in this life?
Or just feeling left out?
There's always a missing piece,
No doubt.
That keeps me endlessly searching
For what I'm truly without.

A Defiance to Old Age

Thou shalt not rob me,thievish Time, Of all my blessings or my joy; I have some jewels in my heart Which thou art powerless to destroy. Thou mayest denude my arm or strength, And leave my temples seamed and bare; Deprive mine eyes of passion's light, And scatter silver o'er my hair. But never, while a book remains, And breathes a woman or a child, Shalt thou deprive me while I live Of feelings fresh and undefiled. No, never while the earth is fair, And reason keeps its dial bright, Whate'er thy victories o'er my frame, Thou canst not cheat me of this truth: That, though the limbs may faint and fail, The spirit can renew its youth. So, thievish Time, I fear thee not; Thou'rt powerless on this heart of mine; My precious jewels are my own, 'Tis but the settings that are thine.

Time

Time takes all of us
we ride the carousel
til dusk
We walk into the rain
and rust
like metal chains
oblivious
it obvious that time is sure
the world goes on the passing
pure
The bleak and tragic end assured
to all of us
we'll pass as dust
The presence of companions
The drinks and smoke of champions
in love with life's abandonment
with us the time is spent
and lovers come and loves go
in days with women well and woe
and sometimes one can take a hold
but folded hands in grip let go
I promise you my dying day
the bitter end sometime away
I'll cleave to you
I hope you stay
so kind
for time

Night Sky--- monorhyme

I came out of the supermarket to be greeted
by the most amazing sky so stunning I stopped
and just stared navy blue back ground lined
by startling sapphire streaks that were layered.

Isles of azure blue all around were dotted
and the Clifton suspension bridge framed
perfectly as if an artist had just painted
it amidst the towers that above it soared.

Driving along admittedly gawking nearly crashed
fast as possible I got to a clear spot and stared
got out heart thumping in pure joy totally bedazzled
by the superb spectacle of various blues intermingled.

As full dark came away it all faded
I rushed home and a pen I grabbed
yet I knew that justice beyond me laid
by a master poet only can it be depicted

A Christmas Snow------monorhyme

A Christmas Snow

The soft snow flakes fall gently coating
the land, which to white is turning.
Trees brushed white stand gleaming
as Christmas dawns with sunlight bursting.

A hush settles as people start stirring
emotions high, children in the snow delighting.
Soft and pristine white as the wind sets it flurrying
its touch a whisper as it brushes cheeks now settling.

Magical flakes of pure white glistening and sparkling,
while icicles translucent adorn trees decorating
their branches and trunks with colour reflecting.
The people filled with awe as Jesus they are welcoming.

Never say never

Never say never because the one you invite today could be your tomorrow's ideal partner,

Never say never because once you're online the bundle of texts is what you receive,

Never say never because only God knows fun is what we here for.

Gazing from my Windows

Gazing from my Windows
Oressie Simmons

Will society eventually weaken and numb me, blinding my eyes to what I’m actually supposed to see!

From these windows in which I stand I’m able to gain a glance of the meager and as well as the grand.

Although they measure just .09 I’m able to define.

Life!

For it’s not the lavish, beautiful or gangster images I observe or any other adjective selfish self-promoting sounding verb.

By treating others how you want to be treated because by going so evil will always be defeated.

Do ya’’ll think?

So why not embrace the differences in one another because the human race will go heaps further turning my foe into my brother.

For my window represents a lens, enabling me to see great compassion as well as the deplorable sins.

Of society!

My human filters are always in focus allowing me the time to recognize and notices the real from the bogus.

In situations!

Showing me humanities’ bigotry, racism and prejudice from above, my windows give me a perfect view on how people love.

As well as hate.

These windows have been my key, giving me the insight where before I could not see, allowing me to diagnose society as it must be.

So what if I see all the clues and the world still eventually lose, for who can I blame for I have no team in this game and if I lose and the world win it’s still the same, a damn shame yet I’ll be still looking out my windows the same.

A Soldier’s Quantum

A Soldier’s Quantum
Oressie Simmons

I've pledged my alliance to this destructive game but often I wonder will I ever be same?

For my country’s policies and agenda, am I expected to render or surrender?

My soul?

Because one shot means someone’s killed but by doing so will my soul ever be healed?

But this notion I honestly can’t quite comprehend, that’s why I willfully sin and do so again and again.

For my Country?

Maybe God truly understands and in turn will wash the blood and carnage from my hands.

You think?

Or is this just a delusional fantasy where forgiveness should automatically be granted to me.

Because I’m only following orders that where sent so these biblical rules should be slight bent.

On my behalf?

For this question is so complex the more I know, the more I know less not allowing me to finish this mental test.

Not knowing the answer I seek, I simply ask forgiveness for I am weak and beg him to take me to heaven when my soul eventually leak.

ostend souls...

one windy day on the flatland
I'll take your hand in mine
like old times...
and we'll gaze across the grey waves
the weathered down dunes
with their soft dips and curves...
ostend shall scatter my sorrows
and as I walk on the dreamy path
love will tell the tale
of ancient desires
and moist stories...

The End of Humility

A Rather plain Jane she was,previously-married and all,
Working a great paying job,
Dating several a poor slob,
Needing approval for her drinking or selfish doings,
She killed-off her Ex-hero husband with kindness so to speak,
By overfeeding him and then taking his life's works to her bosom,
Then every man thereafter until finally finding me on a website,
Dating now became a challenge to acquire and overcome at large,
She reeled my loving trusting heart in and used me like a condom,
I (at one point) saved her life and raised her pets for her,
Life has it's twists and turns but this was twisted turn unrivaled.
for in the end after a double engagement and losing my home,
This wretch kicked me to the wolves and left me lost and dying,
Then she cheated and lied & she married in 2 months,
we were playing like kids in the snow traveling the world & all yet,
we were engaged and yet she said she could not marry me after 2 years?
In retrospect what doesn't kill you makes you stronger unto humiliation...one day dear Lord of all things,Karma may run over her Dogma and the charity of choice will prevail in true justice.

About this poem:
I was written to first by this woman...I thought that to be award winning in and of a woman on the web...now I see that because women remain silent it merely tells me that they are weary of all the lies of relationships and that all they really want is equality so that they can complain of what a man isn't and what he does-do or is.
This is a dedication to my experiences.
