It's not morbid. You needed to talk about it. I was shocked a few years ago when a very close buddy passed away at the same age and left a beautiful wife, a young daughter and a son on the way! So I can relate to the sadness you feel.
@ Amiachmadi: Thanks for the invitation. I will make immediate reservations on Bali Airlines. hee hee I have always wanted to live on an island, tropical, warm weather casual clothing BUT....I had to be born in Colorado. Beautiful in the summer and deathly cold in the winter time. Even now it is kinda cold in the winter here in California. And now I want to be near my kids and G-kids. Oh well, I may come to visit!
I have a set of twin children. They are a boy and a girl and they are the best of pals. But I also have another child and she loves the twins just as if they were triplets!
I am a fortunate happy Dad. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!!
I don't really get into holidays but I am thankful each and every day for our LORD JESUS CHRIST and what HE did for us.
Each and everyday I pray to Him because He has given me exactly what you mention, i.e., great parents, a job, a home, food on my table, and when I had cancer the insurance to treat the illness and way more than I deserve because I am a sinner and He loves me and gives me grace and forgiveness. Yes! I have much to be thankful for and I thank you for bringing this up.
And last but not least: Beautiful children that I am so proud of for being good and hard workers!
I drink a beer once a week. I am Christian and the bible, therefor God, does not prohibit you from drinking. It says not to get drunk. BUT!!!! Everyone is different and if it makes you mean and evil I would definitely listen to those close around you and change my habits. If it makes you feel happy, it does me, then there is no harm unless you have a significant other and it bothers him/her! Just use common sense.
Your too young to worry about such things! Get involved, say for instance, in charitable work at a hospital helping injured and lesser blessed kids. You may find a doctor that will sweep you off your feet and make you happy for the rest of your life.
There are many opportunities for a young and beautiful girl like you. Grasp those opportunities because they are blessings from the one and only God!
Just be nice to EVERYONE and not make a fuss over anyone. In time the person will understand you don't have any feelings for them. They will probably start treating you different but that's ok. Just keep the same face and things will smooth over.
I give you lots of sympathy and hope you will be able to sleep soon. As for me, I am hard of hearing but sleep has never been a problem even when I heard well.
I can sleep through thunderstorms, phones ringing and the Winternationals. What in tarnation is that, you ask? I live across the street from the county fairgrounds and each November and April (I think, maybe May) the grounds hosts drag racing. Those monster cars make a huge amount of noise when they take off. I can sleep through that!
@ arch_angel; Wow! I have'nt heard that since I was a kid. Like it or lump it. My sister and I used to tell each other off by saying that when we were arguing!
The State of North Dakota is experiencing a huge need for workers in the production field. What it is exactly they are producing I don't know and since it's colder than Alaska at times I don't care. HOWEVER, if you think you would be interested I can forward the information to you. Or if you Google the State site they might be advertising employment through their Department of Employment.
@ shay28: Looking back over the years I can remember many fights and many other sporting events, that were just as controversial. I am a big UCLA fan (University of California @ Los Angeles) fan in lots of different sports and our arch-rival is USC (University of Southern California) and we relish all the games over the years. We've had fun debating!
I hope we can continue to discuss sports in the future!
I love your blogs and I hope you continue because Jesus is the way! I was given the same treatment on another site and I simply replied, "I do not tell you what to read or write. And Jesus Christ is the only one that has authority over me. Not any other man!"
Do they do that in CA? I've never seen it done in So. Cal. but maybe it is done in the Central and Northern areas. I remember drivers doing that years ago in Colorado when I was a kid. I suppose it was just a way of being "courteous" to a fellow driver but now that I think about it maybe it was kinda nonsensical.
I moved back for awhile in the 90's and they still had certain phrases that were hard to figure out when you thought about it like "by rights" when something just seemed right but had no legal standing or "barrow pit" for the ditch on the side of the road that served as a gutter.
I belong to a social site called eons.com and on this site there are literally hundreds of "clubs" within that EONS page. They will allow you to post as many pictures as you want. I belong to "Somos Latino" but you don't have to be "Latino" to join our club.
You may, however, be more interested in the photography clubs. Visit our club and post some of your picture on it. My buddies would love to see your work. As opposed to "friends", we are actually buddies because we also get together in different cities. The last get together was in New York last New Years Eve!
Hope to see you there. And, by the way, your work is really cool!
I don't see a problem at all. 25 years ago when I was 45 I had a 24 year old girlfriend. We lived together for 5 years and we always did things together. We were friends and lovers and our love making was great. I still miss making love to her. When we parted we just went our ways with no anger or problems.
RE: Living In Tampa
Have you written a melody to this? It sounds like it would make a good Salsa song. Inquire with some songwriters if you haven't yet!
