How Do You Treat Others?

Very true, Eagle.

It all seems to be about power..

I get days when it peeves me a little, but the long and short of it is that I earn good money, the job is relatively easy and I clock off and come back to my lovely guy and home and have a nice paycheck!

So, all is not lost.laugh bouquet

I thought telling them the wrong hours for breakfast was quite cool - allowing them to get there 20 minutes after they finished serving..laugh

Im good, thank you my friend..hope you are too over there..grin hug

Well, thats the thing, Leigh. When you are in a service position, you cannot turn round and say what you would like to them. You have to bite your tongue.

Actually, thats the way it should be here too; if you dont like what a poster has said to you, grit your teeth, smile and move on. The only times these days I say anything negative is if I consider it warranted.

RE: What do men dislike that women are guilty of?

Me and D were actually discussing the Birthday/Anniversary Date Thing last night..

D is one of the most caring, loving and considerate guys on the planet but when it comes to dates, he is useless and he admits it! When I first had a birthday with him, I was upset that he forgot. I hadnt said anything beforehand, as I myself am good with dates so just assumed he was too. It caused trouble at the time!

However, when we sat down and discussed it again he said "Look, just remind me a few days before.." So, I did. And I had the best birthday this year!

Some men are just not good with dates; its no personal reflection on their feelings toward you.

If we all just accepted that men are flawed, women are flawed and when you get together to chat about each others' flaws, it CAN actually be fun, not a chore!

RE: Terrorism / War on Terror

I really dont know the answer to this one, Vin..

Human nature, as it is, will always pit one individual against another, and if its not religion we are fighting about it will be something else.

What is really sad is that, as another thread created here demonstrates, we are all really one big family and it is only over time that disention has grown.

If only, the day came when we all looked further than what God the other worships and just see the person.sad flower

RE: And you want guns banned.

I agree; what he stood for was right. How he did it was wrong.

As is the case with so many leaders!laugh

RE: And you want guns banned.

Ollie Cromwell was a murdering SOB who crusaded under the guise of The People's Liberator when really he was simply a misguided religious fanatic.

The only good that came out of the Roundhead Period was that parliament and the monarchy was reformed enough to ensure the people still had a loud voice and the monarch a lesser in practicality. Other than that, Oliver Cromwell was a good example of not letting your personal/religious bias get in the way of what is good for your nation.
