RE: Do you belive in finding...

laugh Get chasing FF!

I don´t really like the cliche soulmate, it´s over-used and often mistakenly, IMO, used to decribe a romantic relationship.

I have two female friends who are true soulmates, for want of a better word. I dont think I would describe a relationship with a man in the same way, despite being married and in love for 25 years.

Love songs for all you romantics.

I do remember the original by Roberta Flack but prefer this funkier version.

RE: The Smoking and Honesty Thread...

I´m not a loner, I see people everyday, students and friends, can´t imagine spending a day without human contact. It´s just not healthy, but I still feel lonely sometimes.

What´s this got to do with no smoking anyway. dunno

RE: Whats the difference....

Why not silly billy!! Nobody minds here. Lots of us are English here but have chosen to live elsewhere in Europe.

RE: hot guys over 40...

Without a doubt, Antonio Banderas. smitten

RE: Whats the difference....

rolling on the floor laughing Oh Marki, didn´t you know that before???

RE: I'm Mystified...??

Good evening Sommer.

Yes, I too had an email, simply to explain her disappearance, and I was pleased she did so, but that was what confused me having never been banned angel rolling on the floor laughing

I told her we´d get up a petition if her suspension was too long.

I agree that sometimes differences should be sorted out without the need to report.

I´ve been angered many times, not here on EU forum, but I can honestly say I´ve never reported anybody. It really is a last ditch action, sometimes taken I believe without thinking rationally, due to anger, or hurt.

We are all so different here on the EU forum, yet seem to have so much in common despite our occasional differences.

I am disappointed that butterfly has been suspended from posting, as I would be about anybody here.

RE: CS...teach me how to keep home clean

Just don´t obsess about it too much, it´s a never ending cycle, and a thankless task keeping a house clean. Dust accumulates daily and is more noticeable in a carpet free house, but easier to clean. Carpets are a major irritant for asthma sufferers. I know that because my son was asthmatic as a child and we were advised to remove the carpet from his bedroom. Here in Spain, I have never had any carpets, much healthier.

In particular, don´t cut corners in the bathroom or the kitchen, keep the toilet and kitchen worktops scrupulously clean daily. There are anti-bacterial wipes you can buy which make the job much quicker and easier, though more expensive....oh and tea-towels are disgusting, they harbour more germs in the kitchen than anything.

Don´t use too many chemical cleaners, orange and lemon based natural products are better.

I fought against it, but now I have a cleaner who comes in twice a week, it´s normal here in Spain. I still like to blitz on the occasional weekend though.

RE: Rosie Returns To The "VIEW"

rolling on the floor laughing Very funny, I love the real Rosie though. And Whoopie, the only seemingly sane one on that show, which I don´t watch regularly btw.

Sadder is seeing how cosmetically stretched Barbara Walters seems to be and can barely talk coherently as a result.

RE: I'm Mystified...??

You´re being cryptic, what do you mean?

RE: I'm Mystified...??

Well butterfly´s profile is still here. I don´t understand, do people just get banned from posting for a little while, yet their profile remains active?

It´s a shame that EU members are reporting other EU members, I thought we were all friends here and the occasional disagreement was quickly forgotten.

dunno

RE: What's the problem?

Don´t worry, here we joke around a lot, and until you get to know us, it probably appears a little strange and senseless.

Sometimes old time members forget that new contributors have no idea about what they are posting.

Anyway, your question, which has been pondered by many, so you are not alone. There are many reasons why people do not respond, they perhaps are simply not interested, don´t like the wording in your email.....I have no idea really.

Don´t give up though.

RE: The Smoking and Honesty Thread...

Hello beautiful, where´s that hairy man of yours? He seems to have disappeared yet again. wave

Giving up smoking has made me and Imma a little....well you get the picture! rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Why do Turkey members get such a hard time.

I agree. Turkey is my second favourite country behind my adopted country of Spain.

I´ve had many holidays there. I even worked there for 6 months and fell in love with a Turkish man. I have beautiful memories of the country and the people.

RE: The Smoking and Honesty Thread...

rolling on the floor laughing Yeah, Imma lied, it´s impossible. Unless I get really stuck on a pic and I can gaze at it for 20 minutes while I´m sweating.....no, perspiring....I am a lady after all! blushing

RE: does any 1 really want a date?

rolling on the floor laughing dear? How British, and sarcastic that sounded!

To answer the OP, no I don´t want a date. I´ve tried it several times and I am now officially retired from the online dating scene.

The forums are interesting sometimes though.

RE: name 3 things

Child number one....Louise

Child number two.....James

Both beautiful, intelligent and working adults in their late twenties now, who have never given me any serious concern thankfully.

Number three has to be my good health, way above the rest of my wonderful life here in Spain.

I am lucky and count my blessings daily.

RE: Why do men run from a single parent?

You are correct John. I have run a few times from single fathers. I had my kids very young and they are now in their late twenties. Many men of my age are still looking after their teenage, sometimes younger kids, and I don´t want to go through that again.

I do love kids, but now I´m looking for someone without dependent kids. It has to be that way because I have a full-time career and cannot devote time to bring up kids again.

RE: This is for the Gents, Older and young alike!!

Well of course!

There are people here who have done their child rearing and still want a relationship without having to endure a late, addition to the family

I had my kids very young and certainly do not...in fact I highly doubt if I could, without medical intervention, have more kids, so for me, it has to be a man with the same mindset as me.

My life is different now, and I´m happy to be still relatively young enough to experience a new love without the additional difficulties young children can bring.

However, my kids are still my life, despite the fact they are all grown up and flown the nest!

RE: Ok, What's going on here?

There´s nowt so strange as folk (old English expression) particularly CS folk (Jan expression!)

Never mind, she obviously wasn´t as interested as you. Move on, plenty more ladies looking for love.

RE: Definition of a relationship

I don´t agree Robbie. I think most of the more nasty arguments here are between the women.

Most of the time you guys come up smelling of roses, in spite of how controversial you may be.

RE: Definition of a relationship

Oooh no E, you´re definitely not Ms Popularity either.

Robbie though, somehow manages to get away with it. He knows what I mean I´m sure!

RE: The Smoking and Honesty Thread...

I´ve read it!

It´s the stress factor, it triggers the craving somehow. I haven´t been stressed at all, but tonight something happened which was very upsetting.

Ok, look, I could have gone out and bought ciggies even though it was very late, but I didn´t, so all is not completely lost. laugh

RE: Definition of a relationship

Nope, and you know that´s not true....bad girl!

Not mature, just....hmmmm......guarded!
