The first thing is good grooming, clean, and dressed well, clean nails, smells good. However, these things are obviously not the true measure of a man, so after getting to know him better, the voice can be a real turn on for me, then sense of humour, and of course at the end of the day, common interests and values.
I cannot answer the poll as one choice is not appropriate for me, as I suspect with most people.
Life is never black and white, nor so simplistic however much we want or feel it should be,
I´ve already said that Í´ve been in love with two men at the same time and it´s true. A heartbreaking situation which had nothing to do with infatuation.
Ideally love is one on one, in reality, that isn´t always the case.
Love is a funny thing and strikes in the unlikeliest places, don´t dismiss this concept of loving more than one person as impossible or wrong.
It´s ok. Have spoken to my best friend (who lives above me) and is a doctor.
All is not lost, 1 ciggie is not the end of the world and going cold turkey is difficult, the least success rate apparently, but the best way to do it.
I feel happier now. Thank God for friends.....especially when they´re doctors!
Imma, just noticed this. I too had a very weak hour or two earlier, I was just about to get dressed and nip out for a packet. I logged on to a couple of quit smoking websites, read all the success stories and how my blood pressure has lowered, all the carbon monoxide and nicotine is out of my body....then made myself a big bowl of Special K with skimmed milk!
I know what you mean. My accent is what´s known as "standard English". I could read the news for the BBC if they´d have me!
I was born in Liverpool, but my posh school hammered out the scouse accent, then I moved to the South of England when I was 22, so the result is what it is...standard.
If I´m angry or very tired though, my scouse accent is detectable to a good ear.
I work with a South African (of Spanish parentage) who speaks beter English than the Queen, but he still comes out with it from time to time, and he was taught, oh I can´t remember the names, but a couple of specific South African languages at school.
That reminds me of my very jealous ex Spanish boyfriend who tried to sabotage my English language recordings for students. He said the male students would be doing you know what whilst they were listening.
I work full-time for a language school, which incidentally has lost some company classes. Struggling companies looking to cut costs during the crisis often slash the training budget first.
However, my private classes have increased, People wanting to enhance their cv´s and future job prospects by learning English for the European job market.
So no real crisis for me yet. The cost of living in general though is much more expensive here in Spain than when I arrived just over 4 years ago.
I have never initiated a conversation with a man solely for the purpose of making it obvious I fancied him. I just couldn´t do it Shy and old-fashioned I guess. I can make good use of eye contact at times though!
I am amazed however at the bare faced cheek and self-inflated confidence of some guys who try it on with me in the most unlikeliest of places and situations.
RE: What single quality strikes a woman most about meeting a man?
Would be lovers quarrel?
