RE: Why do you men view profiles without saying a word?

Thankyou!!

cheers They are nice glasses, red!

RE: Why do you men view profiles without saying a word?

True, but sometimes we want to look at a profile for reasons other than romantic interest Ken.

The problem is, that when many people see you on their viewed list they automatically assume it´s because of a romantic interest!

RE: Ready to gnaw a tree...

I admire you so much, it has inspired me to buy only a packet today instead of a carton of 200 which I normally do when I run out.

Well, it´s a step in the right direction!

Truly, I hope you do it, and it will inspire other weak minded individuals like me who would love to quit.

RE: MY TIME IS NOW UP HERE....

Hiiii! to you and mickey.

I never look at the dates of threads....silly billy me!

RE: MY TIME IS NOW UP HERE....

Sorry things didn´t work out for you and nuala, but that´s no reason to leave jim?

Take a break and come back.

RE: Why do you men view profiles without saying a word?

So true Lago, it often is boredom, or sometimes interest, not of the romantic kind.

We are all generally nosey, and a post or thread may sometimes provoke a peek to find out more about the person. No ulterior motive.

I have to admit though, I usually view profiles when I´m not signed in, as I suspect many do. Only because I don´t want to give the impression I´m romanticaly interested.

I break out in a cold sweat when I accidentally click on a name and open a profile!

RE: WHO LIKES TO COOK BREAKFAST?

Can´t face anything when I wake up, but the tradition here in Spain is breakfast at around 10 or 11 in the morning. Coffee, orange juice, toast with olive oil and tomato or cereals.

Maybe it´s because we have dinner very late, around 10 or 11.

RE: Kissing on the first date?

Haha, sensible girl!

He may however decide that you are so good that he won´t ever want to leave.

Decisions, decisions.

RE: Kissing on the first date?

A kiss on the first date is good, if both are happy with it.

It shows to me that the date was a success.

RE: IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT THE HUMAN RACE? WHO IS WINNING THE RACE?

I got the "Dad´s Army" thing but I doubt many others will. rolling on the floor laughing

Hiya you! wave

And in answer to the question, no, I don´t believe we are doomed. You Fallingman, sound like one of those guys in the street with a body placard proclaiming "The end is nigh" laugh

I´ve never seen one of them in Spain funnily enough. confused

RE: dont need money anymore

Ooh I agree Wedy.

I have a student who is a chef and he provides me with freshly cooked meals to take home in exchange for English classes.

Our long departed Phoenix didn´t believe me though!

I couldn´t live solely on this type of inter-cambio agreement though...have to pay the rent etc etc!!

RE: my new profile let me know what you think...

Cristina what´s up? You´re scratching your head a lot lately.

RE: BONKBUS 3...the journey continues....

So, my cinema plan fell through tonight, what´s happening here?

Mums

Ha I remember blushing Qué verguenza!

Mums

doh This was meant for the EU forum.

Mums

For those of you fortunate enough to still have your mum around, how important is her role in your life now that you are all ´grown up´.

In a tribute to my mum, and because her 71st birthday is coming up, I´ve posted a recent photo of us together.

I´m her eldest, yet because I´m single now, she worries about me. Unnecessarily of course, but being a mum myself, I do understand.

She visits me often here in Spain, with her long-term partner, my other dad! and we are closer than we´ve ever been.

Cheers to all mums! applause bouquet

RE: would you date a person with a pre teen child after your children have left the nest?

To be honest I would find it difficult, my own kids having long since flown the nest.

I love my work, perhaps a little too much, and the freedom I have to travel. These things are not really compatible with bringing up a child.

Like many parents, I gave my all to my kids and I´m proud that they are both well-adjusted, loving young adults. It would wear me out to do that all over again at my age.

I applaud you though for caring for your daughter single-handedly.

RE: Do you think you should be able to know who adds you to their favorites list?

Hi sassy, but the friends list is different, because it´s formed only by mutual agreement.

The favourites list is private and you can never know who has added you to their list.

RE: perfect profile

Sommer, you mean you missed Elley in his wet suit pic?

RE: Do you think you should be able to know who adds you to their favorites list?

Hi solitare!

Think of the anarchy and mayhem on the forums an enemy list would provoke.

RE: What will Britains position be in the eyes of the new US President.

The Daily Mail is a conservative newspaper so it would say that!

RE: How to protect your address book

And I was just about to try it.

Thanks for the info butterfly.

rolling on the floor laughing I love it!

RE: BONKBUS 3...the journey continues....

Let´s all have a group sing song and cuddles after the mayhem on the IF tonight. Then we can get back to bonking all and sundry.

RE: Can you love somebody so much that it hurts?

Thankyou Laura, I knew somebody would understand.

RE: perfect profile

Well a recent and true photo is a must as Smoky said, and one which is clear, no hats, sunglasses or taken from a long distance.

I personally dislike very long winded profiles or references to walks on the beach or cosy fireside dinners with a bottle of wine.

A hint of humour is good.

RE: Valentine...How would you want your evening ?

I meant, that´s just not my idea of a romantic night with a man.

Your other proposals are mere aperitifs. blushing

Oh ignore me, I´m being silly!

RE: Can you love somebody so much that it hurts?

Definitely.

I loved my ex husband so much it hurt at times. It hurt sometimes when we fell out, and ironically, it hurt when we were enormously happy.

Pain is often brought on by strong emotions, both negative and positive.

RE: Valentine...How would you want your evening ?

Well it doesn´t include crisps, coke or a dvd. rolling on the floor laughing
