Ok, I bet Weddy got all dressed up like the gentleman he is, and I bet Sommer talked him to death while Weddy looked on, a little confused, but entranced by her beauty.
I went through the same course nine years ago, but our class was Russian, where, coincidentally I ended up going last year. Unsurprisingly, I couldn´t remember anything from that class during the course, but I picked up a little, albeit with great difficulty, by memorising the metro station names every day. Cyrillic alphabet out of the way, it became easier.
I only teach adults now, and there is no doubt that the older one gets, the more difficult it is. I learnt Spanish before I came here, but it was only by being totally immersed in the language that I became fluent. ( A Spanish boyfriend for a couple of years helped too!)
It´s not impossible though, I have a student who is 56 and started learning English for 3 hours a week four years ago. From being a total beginner, she is now in my advanced class.
Brilliant poem....I think the difference between men and women is, women feel they have to wait until they're old, to behave like this...men don't..Warning
RE: coronation street
Hang on Sommer, you´ve made a mistake. Lago is Mike Baldwin, not Weddie. Look back on your posts!Jeeze, good job the director is on the ball!
