Well I hear and understand you livinlarge. However, have you not noticed that many people here seem to be financially strapped, or have baggage ( I hate that word but it´s true) which makes it impossible to travel.
Also, I do believe that most Americans, from what I read here, would find it impossible, or incomprehensible to live in a European country.
Most people say they would travel, relocate to be with their potential love.
I think this is a lie, with most. Ok, I live in Spain, most of you here on the IF are American, so however many lovely emails or flowers I receive it´s like....what is the point? We are never going to meet why bother?
I´m not going to relocate, I have done so already from the UK to Spain, here is where I am happy, and here is where I stay.
You know, I believe I fed my kids with the best, no additives, tinned food, fizzy or concentrated juice drinks, no McDonalds, (except a treat on Xmas eve) and skimmed milk when they started school. It was a mission for me, and today they are both in their late twenties and have never had a day of serious illness in their lives, nor crave junk food.
They tease their old mum for giving them packed school lunches eons ago which nobody could recognise, yet wanted to try.
I also let them eat muck from the garden and put things into their mouths which many mums are afraid to do. They have never needed antibiotics.
I´ve met online people and offline people during the 3 years I´ve been an on and off member here. The offline people have always been more my type......speaks volumes really. no?
Camels and goats are not always readily available.
I went on holiday with my daughter to Egypt a few years ago and a very persistant Egyptian man was trying to persuade my daughter that her mummy could be very happy with him....at a very reasonable price of one hundred camels!
I know that and it´s a good feeling. I will be very happy with my friends and students on my birthday, but when I´m home I will think of my friends here and log in to tell you all about my night!
Unless of course I get lucky! Then you´ll all have to wait a while.
Imma, they are! All my students are lovely, motivated adults, and the great thing is that I learn so much from them too.
I love them! They are my life, and we have much more than a teacher student relationship because they are adults. But Imma, your work is much more difficult than mine.
Oh and one more thing, I couldn´t ignore the good doctor´s suggestions for my date.
Call me picky if you will, and they do sound like extremely interesting characters, but I didn´t really think I had anything remotely in common with your good, single friends.
EVERYBODY is invited, but realistically, only the CS men in Spain will be able to attend. However, if you can´t make it in person, then a CS party will be just lovely.
I´m preparing an English class tomorrow with one of my groups and it is based on Bollywood. I´m going to introduce the Slumdog Millionaire theme too...I´m quite excited about it.
Sorry, sad work related info not at all intersting for anybody else!
No, I´m not stupid, I know what I should or shouldn´t eat. The problem is that many people substitute food for ciggies when they give up....it´s normal. My doctor has said that people generally put on weightwhen they stop smoking, even without excess scoffing, the metabolism slows down. Nicotine speeds up the metabolism. The key is not only to watch the calories, but more exercise.
The carrots are healthier than stuffing sweet or calorie laden food.
RE: Older women, younger men
How old are you?
