There is no get-out-of-jail-free card with Karma. It is the law of what-you-sow-so-shall-you-reap. No redemption there. No doing something to evade the consequences.
If you do good you get good. If you do bad, it comes back and slaps you in the face.
Christians have ways of evading the consequences of their actions on every level. No comparison between the two.
Robert you were a beautiful child, still are in some ways, who got handed a rare journey by life or destiny or whatever you believe.
I believe that "crystal children" is just one person's way of trying to explain the shift in evolutionary progress in human kind in recent generations.
For instance, that an 18 month old child could plug in and turn on a laptop, add a cam and mic, have word recognition of their grandparent's name and connect to them for a "chat" via msn messenger, would have been unheard of and unbelievable as a concept, in past generations, but that is exactly what is happening today.
In fact my grand daughter does just that, and has done ever day since she first did it aged 18 months, in order to talk with her grandfather in England. Her 19 month old brother is now doing the same when he feels the need to connect.
I have nieces and nephews, as well as grandchildren, who understand concepts that adults of past generations would have needed to do extensive study on.
It comes easily to them, natural even, to have innate emotional as well as general intelligence when dealing with situations that past generations didn't have to deal with, such as deciphering information on a grand scale and filtering it for best use.
These innate qualities have been apparant for some time to those who know what they are looking for. Super-intuitive children are no rarity. Not even in my generation.
Unlikely as it might seem these days, I used to be both, and enjoyed both roles enormously. Can't vouch for more recent times, since I have not has anyone to practice on.
Sounds good to me. No better company, (except for the members I have met before, Oslo, Mike, Uli, Paul S, to name a few, who were fantastic company and would only add to the wonderful atmosphere).
I like the speed with which a gas cooker or oven heats up. Electric ones take ages to get up to temperature. Having said that I have electric at the moment, halogen top and elecric oven.
I don't find the actual cooking any different with either gas or elecric. Things tend to take their own time to cook no matter what you cook them on.
Just an observation, but I find that if people are complimented too much , they begin to think you want something, or that you are taking a hand.
People these days are not used to people being nice to them in general, so often don't trust compliments. It appears that is is easier to laugh and put someone down and be accepted than to compliment them genuinely.
I can only go on what happened when some people tried to stone me to death a long time ago. I just stood there. Never moved. Was kind of in shock. Someone else intervened and got me out of there. I did nothing to help myself, even though the blood was running down my arms and legs.
I had a gun pulled on me once and I did take evasive action there. I reacted more quickly than he anticipated and got he gun from him before he recovered himself.
I think that for any given individual it depends on the circumstances at the time. I have nursed many old people up until their deaths and I have never seen an easy one yet.
The survival instinct is so strong that a person will hold on to life with every breath, even when they can hardly breathe any more.
Next to birth, which we don't remember, death is probably the hardest thing we will do in life.
NO ONE is ever ready for that. It is NEVER easy.
Best that can happen is that you will die in your sleep, but chances of that happening are much less than winning the lottery.
Differences and similarities in cultures, traditions, lifestyles, sharing ideas. There are a million interesting topics besides re-hashing old ones that are gone. I mean if it was so good, why doesn't someone open a continuation thread and just carry it on instread of reminiscing about it?
RE: The Tuesday Tickle
How about telling a story of something funny that happened to you recently......something in your day perhaps.....I rarely go out so nothing of any real value happens to me but it is nice to hear of something that made someone else smile.
