Yesterday when he comes back to state his position on ending the Iraq war in 16 months after taking the Presdiency. He says this;
"On my first day in office, I would call a meeting of the Generals and give this order. End this war, gentlemen."
I may be totally neive and totally unknowedgeable on how such orders from the Oval office originate. And how conflicts begins and cease. So I take it to the KISS principle. Keep It Simple Stupid....
So I take this to the schoolyard bully concept. The teacher lets your class out into the schoolyard to play. Turns her back. And that bully is standing in your face. You don't have any place to go. And if your don't get the dukes up......your jaw is hurting.
Saying that the schoolyard is the globe, that we live in today. And that the bully is Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism. The school teacher (the UN has turned its back). Where do these Generals go with an order like this from President Obama? Units are coming out Iraq...headed home....fine...is the easy answer. They are safe and home. Iraq is there for what ever the future holds for it.
But has the bully left the schoolyard? Also the cheering group that every bully has. They (the Clerics and Islamic fundamentals) are cheering that the bully has just won the fight. Pres. A of Iran is waving his booklette "Last Heliocopter out of Baghdad" in the air at Islamic rallies....saying I told you so.
I know this is simplistic. That we can argue who is the bully and who is not.
There is no way...with a general withdrawl and a simple end to this war in Iraq......that at the end the bully is not being patted on the back by the cheering group. That cheering group is not giving high fives to each other. And worse the bully is not eventually looking for another fight. jmo

GWB is headed to China to open the Olympics Games. I hope they keep the torch away from him. There has been alot of politics to it. Having GWB photoed with the torch in hand.....would be a bad message for him and us. Knowing the Chinese, they will let him run the torch up the last few steps to the flame bowl. I just hope he does not trip. ala President Ford.
Best article in the paper. A Florida woman with a great voice and range, belts out our National Athem. She has done it 200 time all around the state for any service, game, or setting....for free! Her name is Catina Mack from Sanford, FL. Says it would feel 'weird' to take money for singing the National Athem. Kind of reminds me of our Mr. Burnbank....and his drums and yazoo!

I know of similar cases today and in war time. But this is different. A healthy woman commits suicide because she does not like her future living conditions. Why not as a Dr. find not her another place to live? If laws of the land....are so vague or leinant to the issue......that aiding her in suicide is not a criminal act......that just shows how far the left can move to some very unethincal positions.
With the aging of America, Dr. Kvorkian was a real wake up call. There was little to none gov't monitoring of what he was doing. They rang their hands for a time......as the numbers mounted..... finally said it was homicide and .....and arrested him.
Try to imagine a US with assisted suicide laws like Germany? Boy, I have head cold today....and visit the Dr. and he is advising the long down under. If our Dr .today are already doing assisted suicide for the terminal and pained elderly, as we both know do, some will soon be doing it for perfectly healthy elderly.
