Only way is to have a voice in the government of some kind that is effective. That is where this all falls apart.
I was in Sen. Nelson office one day in Orlando for a meeting. I ask the person answering the phone...how many calls he had logged that day by1 pm in the afternoon. Just under 1000 calls. Here is a office of maybe 10-15.....by 1 pm they have answered 1000 phone calls....in a small Senate office...not the main one in DC or near his home city on the coast. Think that with that load of calls they were getting anything done? It is the same in DC as well.
Each one of those staff there was answering 13-20 calls an hour. Add in meetings, add in work assignments. Add in what else is the agenda for the day.....I think you see where I am going here.
The entire system is bogged down...day to day just by representation contacts from thier districts.....it is amazing they get the work done that they do.
That is why we need a Constitutional Congress...in 2009 to set the new rules for the primary into the Consitution with an admenment. They have to play by the rules set up in the Constitution, Rasgumby.
That is also how you get power back to the people. Give them a voice in the process that overrides the legislation that they pass. Over rides supreme court decisions and even what the President can do.
If you want a common vote....at a Constitution Congressional hearing....you can tell them, exactly that. So can the millions of other American that feel that is the fairest way. I posted on a thread back....near the end.
They are not going to change the political mechanism of the country because it usually a losing vote issue....thier opponets clobber them on it. So? We change it for them. That is the only mechanism that the people have to do so.
What I am saying is the Dem messed this up at the beginning prior to the first primary ballot being cast. Now, they are playing number games with the how many voters a deligate will represent in FL and MI deligation.
If I remember the numbers right.....it was 62,500 voter per deligate when this began for all 2026 deligates that were to be sat in the DNC. Now with Fl and MI getting 1/2 of their deligates...those states will be represented to 125,000 voters to the deligate. While all the other states deligates are still at 62,500. Inheritantly unfair representation.
First time that it has ever been done that I know...either in the electral college or in party deligate seating....the courts here have it now. With the recent dem rules committee position paper now done. That court will or can show them what it feels about unfair representation. It was filed on by a undeclared super deligate a week ago. He might withdraw it.......but is said to be leaning to Hillary, not Obama.
Last time, they had unfair representation occur in the country......if I remember right......was during Andy Jackson term as President. They wanted to give the rich and big eastern seaborn states more deligates than the western ones. The westen states sent a large deligation (of near a 1000) to Washinton carrying muskets and tomahawks. They partied and stayed in the White House with Andy till the thing was settled.
Not sure Obama or Hillary want 1000 armed Floridans staying in thier houses till the DNC gets over with.:-)
You say it 'fair' to give FL and MI 1/2 of their deligates, that ulitmtely means that a FL or Mi voters get only 1/2 the say in the Dem nomination process. Not a fight, that is just how it plays out. in my opinion

I think that I have learned of a new plot to destroy Obama run for the Presidency. Buc and Bill (two radio show host) have decided to run jointly for the office as write in canidates. They have a book out on their platform.
Now being country talk show host , these boys have a followin. Please note how followin was spelled. They are going to to tap into that secret far left desire to be just normal every day country folks. You know....eat BBQ, go fishin, go huntin, fly a kite some days and drive pick up trucks.
My feeling is that the far left if so suppressed in these basic enjoyments of life, that is why they get so angry with those that have them. Buc and Bill are going to be thier opportunity to become normal again. They are going to look at Barak at say......you want me to give away that nice house and the $100k job......and go put my tush in some third world country for a meal and a sleeping bag.....when I can join the Buc and Bill group and have my job and enjoy a normal life here?

Understand that we all have political positions and support canidates. for various reasons. It is understanding those reasons and positions that let us step accross the aisle to make common ground agreements. That is the goal. To make agreements.
Guys, I got some knowledge/expereince on you here. I was trained in college for political analysis. Also a few years of government white papering doing analysis on guys like Milosovic, Huissen, Musharref. Honestly, it takes years to master some of the finer methods and techniques. There are some techniques to it. And you have know what to look for.
Here are the things to look for in doing political anaylsis on Leaders/Governments. And it is the same for both.
1) Anomolies
2) Fabrications
3) Time line failures or errors
4) Historical fact covering
Anomolies according to one of my profs, will show you the critical weakness of a country/individual. They do, long story on that some time. Sometime they are very small in detail, but they scream at you when you see one. Afterward find one, you have ask and answer.....why?
That answer is will lead you to conclusions that are hard to imagine at times.
Fabrications are lies. They have to keep telling another one to cover the main one or first one. Leads to crediblity issues for leaders. Go beyond them and find the truth.
Time line failure or errors this is where you have a lot of players moving together in some kind of concerted plan or effort. One of the hardest analysis to do well.
Historical fact covering. Kind of like lies, but more often is like a bad facts on a resume' or factual inaccurancies on biographies....again ask why? Go beyond them and find the truth.
We all are here to gain and share information. Just respect each other and don't make it personal. Either in giving or recieving the info. Make it fun and not personal.
Also this. Just announced here that Senator Obama has given Priest Plefeger $200K as a federal gov't grant while he was in office. And while as State Represeantive another $100K as a IL gov't grant.
Now we get to look at what those funds were used for. If Plefeger used them to support a leftist radical group or a Islamic group, he is in trouble bing time.

Not just a simple......who would you vote for question comparing two canidiates.
In this poll it was based around 'trust'....who would you trust more.....MCCain or Obama? with these issues?
I suspect it was a nationwide poll....not suspect to a specific state.
One thing that is known....is that voters want to have a President that they can 'trust' in office. Remember Nixon? When he lost the 'Trust' of the American voter over Watergate, he was in trouble and caused him to resign.
This shows how bad Rev Wright, the Bitter comments, and B.Ayers have hurt him. Add in Preist Pfliger they will go down even more. And we not into even starting to talk about what a trip to Iraq would do. Or real negative campaigning in the fall by the Republicans....because they see his weakness in two areas......expereince and credibility (trust).

Even in the late 1980s, when I was active in such matters more so than today. We had the technical ablity to virus and shut down enemy radar sites with something called electronic warfare. When one get into a political conversation with a woman that has access to sharp impliments, it is best to use some discretion assuming that you are on the other side of the fence line of the hers. Eventually shes says..."well you know what happens to guys that do things like this and "winks" at me." I shake my head no. But she got me thinking on leaders that have in the past been abused and degraded by thier countrymen. I went back to the very first ones that I could think of. King David of Isreal. This is a good read sometime for anyone, so suggest it.

If ancient Isreal had a Kos, Huffington Post and Modern Media websites back then. They would have been flashing photos of Bethseba and child with split images of David. The bloggers would be going into frenzy. They would have worked in over time to further discredit and degrade him.....and that was exactly what was happening in the city of Jersualem then. It might not have done with electronically, but it was be done by the locals in conversation.
So David hearing this, realizes that for Bethseba and thier child, Jersualem is no longer the place to stay. He takes his Captians of 100 and some 1900 others and leaves the city. In a long columm of 2000 leave. Only the route he has choosen takes them past a house of a relative of the Bethseba's dead husband. He see what is occurring. And decides to have a few well spoken words with David.
