RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

I am pretty quessie about the thoughts of a year one of a Obama dynasty. much less a back to back Administration of 8 years. Clos our eyes...and vision year 8...............Rev. Wright now his VP, Bill Ayers now his Sectretary of Defense, Frank Davis now his Secretray of State.....are in a meeting together. It goes something like this:

Obama............."Hey baby, 5 five me! Been a great run, guys!
We have showed those guys how to run DC.
We got this place cooking now."

Wright.............."Yea, Barak...you know I am sorry to give the
headache back then when you first were running.
But now man, I got all the inside stuff on the
what the American government has been doing
over the years in America. I am even getting
more for my speeches today than Bill Clinton
was back then."

Avers................"Those flip floppers that though you were going to
get us out of Iraq and calm the War on Terrorism
down. Boy, when you twisted them with that invasion
of Pakistan. What a military move! They fell out of the
chairs, man. So we have to reinstate the draft
and we got a 1 million in there. I can handle it. I got
Jimmy Carter talking to em right now. Yes, I know
they lost 10 nucs......but I am sure we will find them."

Davis................."And how about our relationship with Russia and
China. I was able to get communism set back
in Russia. Russian military is reestablishing itself in
Europe with NATO being broken and gone. China
is like the enlighten communist country the Mao
envisioned. Hey only took that 100,000 killed and
missing Tibetian to do it. What a small price to pay
for communism, man."

Obama..............."Been a great 8 years, guys, Thanks for everything
you have done. We are still looking for bin Laden
and AlQueada has reconsituted.
We were able to pin that on GWB.
Nice move, Rev!

My eyes opens and the nightmare ends.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

There might even be a few 'lint balls' on the collection plates from the listners without jobs that are bitter about America.....trying to give him
campaign support. Oh that is right he has that covered....with those
State lobbist that bundle for him! I forgot that!

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

McCain is sitting back letting the hacking and waking between the two go on, Dude. When they do they show how fractured the Dem party is.

Both want us to think that they are Presidential.......one calls the other Annie Oakie.....the other calls him an elitist. They are doing McCain's work for him. And the Dem party and thier supporters in the party are playing supporting roles to the hacking and wacking, proving the the Dem party is so fractured they can not run a complex country like the US well.

Hmmmmmm....I wish they would save some of the anger and desire for this combat for some of the real bad guys in the world.....like Hamas...like Hezbollah...like AlQeada....like Iran.....

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Close your eyes....and image 4 year with a Barak Obama adminstration. Getting a better picture of what being disfranchised and what being bitter is about now?

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

I said I saw both Hagee and Paresley TV sermons. Did not feel that they were for me in a theological sense. Do I have to get angry to
come t this position?

I said that they 'endorsed' McCain....I don't even know thier exact words in doing so. Said that an endorsement is different than a association. I really don't care what they said. I don't hear thier words on TV ranting on America. I do hear such words from Rev. Wright and
he has a associaiton with Obama. Major differences here between them.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

We like to mix it up a little and chew on each other for a time each day.
Some times we like the taste....other times we don't and want to spit it out. Beats literally engaging in a street fight! But dude this is for you boxing

Just kidding.......:-)............ you know we like you!

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

One pole on PA ...Hillary 57% and Obama 37%

Other have it as a 10% difference with Hillary in the contest.

Hillary is running some major ads on his bitterness comments.....they are hard hitting using PA voters to comment how they feel being called
'bittered'. The gloves have come off.

Obama camps says the 20 point pole is good......because if really he loses by a smaller figure...will show that PA really does 'accepts him'.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Gosh it is a hard task for Obama ....such a great patience the man must have in deed!

:-) Dude.........if Obama becomes President....he will lead a country of the most hard headed, stubborn, obnoxiuos, determined, commited,
dedicated, self determining people on the planet...historically or
in modren time. If you think he needs patience with this little flap on American being 'bitter' .....over guns and religion.......is excessive.....

.............the day he proposes anti gun legistlation in Congress OR supports a Supreme Court ruling in restricting Freedom of Religion is the day he will patience.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Obama...just called Hillary ...Annie Oaklie.....Hillary said that she one time hunted ducks and actually shot a one. Supporting that she is pro gun.

How cute is this.......two people running the President of the United States that if either one that wins.......get to have the biggest trigger in the world.....gee....both seem to have trigger fingers twitching on this one!

Of course it nice to hear that Hillary hit what she was aiming at......considering her Husband missing Osama with cruise missiles at one time.

Also a Rep Congressman got into the fray with the comment the Obama....'that boy ought not to have his finger on the trigger of
America's nuclear weapons, in that he cannot understand the difference between a simualation and a real stike'

Obama camp reply.....that was a 'condensing comment'

So everyone play fiar and nice here?

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

OH, one last little piece of info on Iraq.

Malki gov't is giving the Cleric militia an ultimatum. Either lay down your arms, or you will not be allowed into the Iraq gov't. Places them between the rock and a hard place. If they don't do it, they are made
parties of an illegal status and can be arrested for that charge. If they do it, they have nothing to force a fight with the Iraqi gov't and become what they really are............Iraqi civilians.

Go Malki Go......he is figuring this thing out!

I see us doing more US withdrawls soon!

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Just some Iraq war news today from me........

A week ago the Iraqi Defense Forces (IDF) took on the Mehdii Army in
Basra. While eventually with US assistance, Mehdii army sought and accepted a ceasefire, the intial IDF operations did not go well. Many IDF members did not want to get into the fight.....some 1300 in fact.

What was learned today is this. The Malki gov't simply relied them of
thier military and police duties.....e.g. fired them. I wonder what would have happened to the 1300 under Sadam? I have heard and read stories of where he executed.....yes that is shoot......Generals and others that failed in a command order or mission.

Hmmmmm?

Point being, that while the Malki gov't may have all sorts internal problems and issues.....corruption that we have talked about here.
It is still acting in a humane manner. These 1300 are still walkin and talkin today, because the Gov't took the high road on this and did the decent thing. Many democratic militaries would at least arrested and send them to a prison, for what they did. Malki gov't showed alot of
restraint and smarts not to do the same. Doing so would have caused some major problem in the IDF, and Iraq itself.

Also the IDF is doing operations in the north in Mosul. And doing OK from what I hear. Mosul is hard fight by the way. Keep your eye open to the outcome. It will tell you how far the IDF has come in the last few years. A long ways.

Also this little bit of news. One of the hardest military or police situation to conduct is the hostage rescue operation. IDF did successful hostage rescue operation with a kidnapped British journalist.

American have known since our Revolutionary war, that it take blood and sacrifice to gain a new country or to make a new government.
We wonder and Congress investigates if the Iraqis really want this and will pay the price for it. As I see it, they answring the call most of the time, and fialing sometimes. Washinton and other revolutionary war leaders did not have many wins, till the last year of that war.WWI and WWII went horrible at the beginning for us.

Malki gov't is getting some wins and some break evens in this fight.
Two years ago, they would not have even got into the fight. That is
how far they have come. Lastly, I bet the British jouranlist was happy to see them, if they were not winning all the time.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Nite all

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

Well I know in every small town in American under 10000.....which there so many you cannot count them all.......they are going........let have a Presidential town hall meeting with Sen. Obama in attendance.
We want mike and discussion time with him. I bet his campaign manager is get a lot of phone call right about now.

RE: Obama for President.....The Fifth!

The point of the Dem Senators that flipped on the war is this.

They received mainly the same information that the UN Security
council recieved. Voted in 'good conscience' to support the war.
With only Barak Omama and a couple of others standing against,
if I remember the vote right.

They with the war going badly, they see a political opportunity
to gain with a flip. So they do...........they take control on both
side of congress. Here is the problem they have.

We have had wars in the past go badly. Never have we had a group
of congressional people first support then change thier support for a
ongoing war effort. We have had dissension, discussion, and such by minority parties....but not a 'true flip' to being against the war....is almost unheard of in American politics.

Never happened in WWI, WWII, Korea, with congressional dissension of Vet Nam, Gulf War I......this was a first. Or any of the various brush fire wars in modern times.

Know what our founding fathers said as they ratified the Constitution....and with many of them came from different political parties.....with the Revolutionary War on.......they said this......
'now we either succeed together or we hang together'....
38 of them did die or hang for signing that document.
That is what is meant by a 'vote of good conscience'.

RE: Hillary's Laugh

Maybe Hill is getting some hair...she went after Obama pretty hard here on his comments. Called them 'demeaning' and 'arrogant'. To translate those into hillbilly speak.....'bad mouthing' and 'upitty'.

I wonder if I write a politican guide to hillbilly speak...do you think that I have a seller?

RE: Olympic Torch~ side issue that effects the whole world!

I am outraged...I think it is a commie plot. They are going to make 1000s of torch duplicates at low costs.....each with this side effect.
Sell them......all along they have been working in some hiddent
lad to solve the world's Co2 problem....and with that solution...plan to
bring all of mankind under commie control and domination.

Well almost every country...not Denmark.......

RE: american soilders -get out from iraq, they are enough able to find out their own solution

Stay safe, God Bless

RE: Should we continue with the olympic games in China?

I have mixed feelings here. As a coach, I like to see the competition
and athleticism. Also the Olympic Spirit that is made among the athletes is special. Those are all good things in my opinion. So on that side, it sad to what is happening.

On the other side. The Tibetian issues has been ones in China for many years. And Chinese gov't has done little to solve them. The Tibetians knew this was a Olympic year in China and also knew
that this was the 'time' to achieve thier goals. I don't see them backing down at this point. If it really brings them the freedom and the security that they have been seeking, then it worth it on the long run.
But if not.......then they cost the world.....this chance to have an
Olympic spirit in China.

I was thinking of going. But not likely will to go now.

RE: Oil Shortage Myth

Add this into the picture.

We have some major technology break through in off shore drilling.
Mainly that we can go deeper. New kinds of transfer pipe take more ocean pressure. Hence you can drill deeper. Also new kind of deep
platforms are both being made and in development.

For both the North Sea area and for the Gulf of Mexico area this means that we can tap these oil tracks better.

Also our coal industry and being able to convert coal (a process called gasefication) into a fuel is becoming very much more viable as the price of crude goes up. The Governor of Montana carried a little vial of coal converted to fuel around his neck. He shows it all the time...saying this our energy independance in a vial. Montana has many coal fields and with a gasefication plants could make just about all the liquid fuel we need.

Adiodos OPEC!

My firm is working on a way to improve solar energy systems so that they are much more productive. Cheaper juice! Also should allow solar systems to be placed farther north giving them more range in the country to operate than just the sun belt.

Adiodos Chavez!

A year ago we had a break thru in materials processing. Meaning we can provide a low cost silica molecule material. That will not rust, is lighter than metal, and is stronger than metal. Totally green friendly.
From an unlimited source of low cost sands.

Adiodos Ahmadinejad!

We will be energy independant. Let the mighty eagle fly again!

RE: Now I heard it all

I guess they both drive alternative fuel cars. But will never be soccer moms to have any kids in them to have a reason to drive them.:-(

RE: should the olympic committie ban countries that pull out of the olympic games for politic reasons ?

But also this gentlepaws.....athletics is also in itself an expression of life and achievement. Goals that are positive to mankind. Even in defeat, those are expressed. Many run a race, but only one wins.
At the end, you see a celebration of many in just finishing.

Do I feel for those in Tibet that are suffering. Yes. But I also feel for
an athlete that has invested hours of training and dedication to perfecting his athletic skills for such a contest. How do you equate or put them on a scale do say this is more important than that? Both (human rights and athletic achievement) are important and have merit.

Does one have to suffer at the oppression of other? Athletes are human as well...and have rights as well. If you consider that athletics are a expression of a individual abilities, like speech or press or happiness.....then withdrawing from the games....violates the right
of the athletes as well.

I am not condoning the Chinese gov't here and their treatment of the Tibetian people and others there. Such heavy handed gov't control of such a situation is clearly a human rights issue.

RE: should the olympic committie ban countries that pull out of the olympic games for politic reasons ?

Olympics have been used for political statements many times and in many ways. The black panther statement of the Mexico City summer games for instance.

Countries that wish to protest in the games could place a arm band or color supporting the Tibet issue....or make a public media statement prior to the games on the issue. Thing is that each countries Olmypic committee see it differently. So they will likely be individual protests to the issue....rather than unified.

My bet is the Chinese gov't thru thier host olympic committee is going to the world Olymypic committee right now...laying down some criteria to all this. With the time it takes to prep for a summer game.....really China has them over the barrel. So I don't expect the world Olympic body to much here.

Athletes are always caught in the middle of these. If the Tibet situation gets worse and it can, expect some to begin to withdraw.
The games will still go on, but with team alternates filling in. Maybe for many that do decide to sit it out they can start thier porfession careeer even sooner. About the best thing that oculd happen, I guess.jmo

RE: Canadian Border finally addressed!

Isreal and Egypt would not mind if the Palestine people expanded into the Sinia. Neither in the least. Indeed both would help and welcome such a expansion in my opinion. Isreal would release its funds to the Palestines for such improvements, assuming there were security agreements about the rocket attacks and other such things.

So the logic...that Isreal wants everything?

All Isreal is really saying...is very similar to what the US is saying. Back away from terrorism and from killing our people......and then let us solve these other issues. But you don't negotiate with someone that is trying to kill you. Seems to me with the Gaza pull out by Isreal, time for the Hamas to give some ground in negotiations here.

But I don't think that they want that. They are to concerned about launching a few inaccurate civilian killing rockets into Isreal to see or care about the bigger picture here. The bigger picture is the over all
long term welfare of the Palestine people. There they are clueless.

RE: Canadian Border finally addressed!

Opal you also forget. That Hezbollah raid into Isreal...killed most of the Isreali patrol that night. 8 or 10 if I remember right. Soon to follow were 100s of Kuskakuff rockets on Isreali cities and towns. Both the kidnapping and the intrusion were acts of war. Any response by the Isreali was justified......even if they went to Tripoli in northern Lebanon looking for thier soldier. Indeed they went into the Bakka Valley and a mountain complex looking for him.

The Isreali IDF were sitting at home....enjoying life......when that raid occurred. They only went on the offensive only after the rockets started to hit...and in search of the lost man.

What would you have them do? Stay home enjoy life....as rockets fall on thier fellow Isrealis? While one their men is missing? You would not ask that of Americans, if it ever happens here. And in Iraq when one of our people is lost, doing search operations for him, is one the more noble mission to conduct.

Opal give the complete story on the events. Keep your position...but start from that point. It is more honest and even more effective when you do.

As for the American woman in Gaza.....a real tragic event. I do agree.
Many wonder why the Isreali did not dismount and simply pick her up and move her from the path? Good question. Let me explain. They dismount they are targets. They are clueless to what she has under the robes.....suciede vest or grenades. They had orders to remove that house. Personally, I thought the orders were pretty thin. Some felt that rockets were coming from near it, other did not know if this was so. So in my opinion here, they may very well be in the wrong.

But Opal......explain the GAZA withdrawl to me.......where some 27 Isreal villages and kibutz are left. It does not add up, if this is a land grap by Isreal. Those Isreali settlers did not want to leave. They were forced to leave by the IDF. Your research and your conclusion is incomplete or faulty unless you can answer that. jmo

RE: Canadian Border finally addressed!

Isreal also removed ALL of its settlements from Gaza. What did it get in return? A moderate Fatah party expelled from Gaza and rocket being launched at nearly cities.

It is like if they give an inch....the militants want a mile. If they give the mile...then is it ten miles. That small strip of ground in the world was first given to them by God...then reaffirmed in the 1950s to be thier
nation. Hamas and Hezbollah press claims and cause these border and check point situations on Isreal.

How many years did the Isreali try to live with out the walls? And found buses being bombed and other such attacks? A long time.
They put the walls up....and it stopped. Militants changed to rocket attacks over them. Isreal forced a change from very accurate and deadly terrorist strikes on mass transit for inaccurate rocket attacks. In my opinion, a good decision.

In the world opinion and in the dialogue of the Palestines...the walls removed Palestine villages and cause difficulty in movement. It was that ease of movement that allowed the bus bombings. It was those Paletine villages that were suppling the explosives/people for the attacks. So Isreal decided to restrict it. You ride your local mass transit bus....and it passes a burned out bus on the side of the road...that the day prior 20 or 30 people had died in. You might ask for walls too.

Think about this for moment.....because you are right there is room for everyone. Look at a map around Gaza sometime. Behind Gaza (on the land side) is the Sinia desert....largely undeveloped and underused. With Egpytian and Isreali agreement....the Gaza strip could be expanded four fold or more. With fresh water desaltation plants....fresh water from the Med is avialable. Piped into the expanded desert areas.....and you have food, agriculture, employment, and other associated benefits. So why does it not happen?

Pretty simple. Such a expansion increases the border between Isreal and Gaza. Such a longer border only give militants more points to luanch rocket attacks at more Isreali towns and kibutz. Palestine militants are destoying their people future.....so they can put a few rockets in the air against Isreal.

RE: The hardest compromise

I think that a big question to ask at times....on a relationship is this............does this person make me better person?

There are alot of ways to answer the question. But if someone is helping you to be a better person...then why feel a compromise needs to be made?

Now don't ask the question after only knowing a person for 15 minutes or even 5 dates. But of a someone where a 'serious relationship is developing'.

If your answer comes out, yes....I am a better person because of him/her...to what ever criteria (standards) and parameters (boundaries) you have. Then gee......having one hour or one month or one year or one lifetime with them is a good thing.

Sure time schedules and family events may cause a break in the relationship for a time....that cannot be helped......but with that affirmed yes....this person is helping me to be a better person. What is the big deal? You are happier to come back and spend time with this person than most any other that you likely know. Why? Because of the personal growth that is occuring to you. The comfront level you feel with them. And it likely because it is just good old fun......and hot!

When we are feeling the need to compromise, there usually is a internal issue going on. A internal clash of feelings, emotions, or loyalities. I know Dr. Phil thinking here. The question is does your compromise bend/break those critieria and boundaries you have placed? If it does.....go back and honestly ask the question...does this person make me a better person, again?
