The way I read the polls Opal.....says Barak (44%) and McCain (44%)are dead even. Add in Hillaries supporters (30+%) that will not vote for Barak, but for McCain.. And the 35% of hers that will not vote(abstain because they don't like the canidates). Also figure McCain to get the independants votes 12%).....the non declared and non aligned. So Obama support is his far left (25%) and what he can get from the remaining Hillaries Moderate Dems (35?%). That is McCain by 5-10%.
Those states that Hillary won in the Primaries.....are the Heartland and the major electral deligate States.....if they all go to McCain plus the normal Rep states...toss in FL and MI...this is not even close. OBama is toast.

So likely a connection there between the two.
Most of our intelligence people feel there was a connection between AlQeada of Iraq and Sadam's special units. They would act together on missions.
Sadam had the money and resources to support these and other terrorist organization both indirectly and directly. He had a common enemy in the US with many of them.
Those are just the ones made public. Suspect if ones reads the CIAs recent reports on thier interviews of Sadam and post Iraq war intelligence reports....there are many more.
There are 31 Islamic terrorist organization as of 2006 listed by our gov't. Sadam and Iraq had (or could easily have) connections with 7 of them. Over 1/5 of them. Any more questions here?
I don't think that if Iran Nuclear facilities are knocked out by us or Isreal that either has won. Just that a major weapon source has been taken out of the hands of parties that would kill Americans/Isreali/Westerns with it. This fight will still continue by conventional means.

The entire tree belongs to the property owned it was planted on. One day he goes work and returns home. This man and his three sons had removing the over hanging limbs of the tree. ( l <----shape of tree l So he is hot. Goes to his neigbhor and asks why did he cut the tree without asking him first. The guy shrugges his shoulders and say all done now. So he says , I will go talk to the law abou this and heads o to his local Bobby station.
He finds a Bobby and tells him the story of the tree and who did it.
The Bobby says to him. That apparently there were Islamic gangs in the neigbhood, so the first thing might be wise to be quiet on it. Then the Bobby say to him, that there is some kind of protected status in England for immigrants that covers a wide range of minor offenses like this. Like a get out of jail card for immigrants, that have done minor things that violate the law. Going by the reasoning that they did not know what the laws was, hence they are not accountable to it. Also that he could not incite some kind of confrontation with a immigrant over a minor issue that failed to meet this accountability standard. Maybe I am off here...if so Robbie help me out.

Just my gut feeling. If we in the US start to pass laws that for either Hispanic or Ialamic and for even Christian groups that are culturally/religously based, motivated and centered. Purposed to benefit a specific group over the country as a whole. We lose. I also think that is often with PACs in Washington that is exactly what happens.
The DNC attroneys have finally made a statement on the issue of the FL and MI deligates. Taking the position of being 50% for Hillary and 50% for Obama, in a 36 page finding paper...said in essense.....that the DNC can only seat 50% of the FL and MI deligates by the by laws of the party. LOL.......well I guess 1/2 a vote is better than no vote at all.
With a 500 person meeting to be held later on the week on the issue with beefed up security outside to control Hillary's supporters from beating down the doors and a at least one court filing in the State of Florida.....things are getting into the world of the attroneys/courts/judges regarding this issue.
The DNC attroneys did say that there is another manner in which thier finding could be overturned and all the deligate of FL and MI sat by the certifications committee during the DNC, which would likely mean a 'floor fight' between the two sides. Nothing like a 'little protect my tush' in case Hillary pulls off some major wins in the remaining primaries and does become the nominee.
Look for some fireworks at the meeting. The group 'make all of our votes count' is said to be picketing the meeting. And Hillaries soccer mom's are going to be there. McCain has sponsored a different bill that is more complete the Webb Bill for Veterans. It includes thier spouses and children. Where as the Webb Bill is only for veteran themselves.
Most the vets I know.....get thier bachelor while in service and even advanced degrees. But many are opting to out, and to start a family. McCain feels your need provide the benefits to his family as well as the vet.
So he opposes the present bill that is on the floor.

IAEA just came out with a report on Iran. Said that they have evidence of the following:
1) Iran is making a underground test area for nucealr weapon 2) Iran is trying to form nuclear metals into device cores 3) Iran has a redesigned some of it tactical missiles for nuclear devices.
IAEA has taken it to the UN Security Council. Saying they are the most damning to Iran developing the bomb yet to date.
Pres A. spoke to the Iranian parliment saying "Iran has a legal right to pursue nuclear program for commerical uses."
Not good Dude. Even Obama needs to address/alter his position on this and now. If he does not, he is committing political suciede in my opinion. McCain will eat him alive on it.

You forget the build up to the war was a four month period, Opal. While the actual events took 2 weeks.....they had plenty of time to contigency plan and work out deals with both Iran and Syria.
Why should Syria say no? Heck most is going into the Syria treasury. Syria is ran by the Bathe party and President S. It is money and currency that will not show up on IMF balances of Syria. So is money that they can use any manner they wish to.
Is like getting a big Christmas gift in the summer time, Opal. Syria takes it share...gives legal banks accounts to the Sadam's family and to his money men that are financing the resistance. Funds are now cleaned and Syria has a bank roll for covert operations.
