So im a single young woman from Jamaica. This site is great by the way, meet some very interesting persons.
But my problem is that all( and i mean all) of the men I meet tells me that the distance between them and myself is too much. Like WTH

This is a big problem for me personally. Im not rushing into anything, but what if I find 'him' but the diatance is a problem for him. I have no problem travelling for love, but what if he isnt willing. Does that say to me ( hey hes not interested)

Is this distance thing really such a big deal as most persons makes it seems, or is it really a big deal?

Earlier today, whilst sweeping up some dried leaves in my driveway/garage, I recalled something that had been said to me more than 12 years ago by my ex-husband (aka ‘wus’-band), which was upsetting and negatively affected our marriage relationship. Today I mused that, had those same words been said with a loving/caring tone and intent, then I would not have felt belittled or dismissed (by him) at the time.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words cannot harm me”, is a LIE because whilst the hurts from ‘sticks & stones’ are usually superficial and short term, the pain that words sometimes cause goes deep…even to one’s very soul…and can last for decades. When I thought about them today, I felt the disappointment (again).

I’ve noticed that, for some people, it’s really easy to use words against others in order to hurt or offend, and I’m not even talking about the popularly known ‘obscene’ ones. I try not to (at least not out loud). Even when there isn’t an intent to do so, that can still happen, so it’s not only WHAT you say, but also HOW you say it that matters in ALL relationships.

So tell me, if your person/spouse/significant other says to you, “It doesn’t matter what we discuss, the final decision is always mine”, how would you feel and what would you think?

She is the best I can find! I miss her till death! Shes is so far away! I cannot travel next time. If I write her shes not answering quick. I miss her till death! Shall I write her again?

Our Love

The whole LDR thing seems to fall into different sections - ones where you never meet but have an entire relationship on line, ones where you have long periods apart but occasional meetings, and ones where it ends in coming together.

Of course they can sometimes be heartbreaking because they are utterly unreal, and you never get to understand that the perfect person has as many warts and bumps as the person next door. But the sheer unreality makes them very intoxicating.

Mine broke a lot of barriers I had set up for a long time, and I also learned some valuable lessons.

Have you been in one of the 3? Is there a type I missed? And - overall verdict?

Seems like everybody is going for the much coveted green card!

Much sought after by many, especially those from Asia.

Hmmm....... Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and get myself a green card too, no?!?

So.......is there any good-hearted American out there who's willing to take in this terrible + miserable cook with greasy hair? I'd love very much to be able to get into America so that I could shop at Wal-Mart and eat at Taco Bell....and that...would be a dream come true....
