I just spent 3 hours tidying up a translation of a trade manual done by an Indian agency from German into English and that's a little too exciting. Not. No more Friday nights like that, thanks. A night out with a boy, every now and then, HAS to be better.
Serious shortage of Scottish blokes on here. The ones I've seen have more tattoos than teeth. And the few who have contacted me direct over my year on CS lost interest when they found out I didn't know or care which footie* team won the night before. S'long, hen.
So I went to a place where the fishing is supposed to be good, and spent a while putting together an utterly riveting fishing rod. The hook looks so good I've got 15 fish already begging to be caught. If I want to view the school all I have to do is upgrade.

Gentlemen, The Secrets To A Happy Relationship
In honor of JimNastics blog, about the Rules of Understanding Men, I have come up with a list of Don’ts to help men get along better with women.
Do NOT drink directly out of the container of milk or juice!
Do NOT put the cereal box back in the cabinet with just the crumbs in it!
Do NOT put the milk or juice container back in the fridge with just a swallow left.
Do NOT put the containers of: ice-cream, cookies, potato chips, candy, etc. back when it's nearly empty or just the crumbs.
If you make a sandwich, do not leave everything sitting on the counter after you are done – put it away.
When your chore is to take care of the trash, do NOT let it pile up like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, until the cat topples the trash tower and spreads it over the kitchen floor - and then, have the nerve to get angry at the cat.
We have a laundry hamper for dirty clothes. Stop taking your clothes off as you enter the house, dropping them on the floor as you make your way to the bedroom. By the time you make it to the bedroom, and the hamper, you're down to your boxers and there is nothing to put in the hamper!
Stop piling your semi-clean clothes on a chair, making a "clean clothes mountain." The hamper is two feet away!
Stop asking me to smell your “semi-clean clothes” to see if they are clean enough to wear!
Stop letting the grass get a foot high before you mow, then complaining about how hard it is to mow.
Stop leaving dirty dishes all over the house. Have you forgotten where the kitchen is?
Seriously, how hard is it to put the toilet seat down? The natural position of the seat is DOWN. Return it to its resting position.
And, the toilet roll winds OVER the top not under.
When you get to the end of a paper towel or toilet roll, replace it on the roller!
Stop taking a crap with the bathroom door open. This is not a spectator sport and, no, you aren't making the room smell better!
Stop asking me to come in and have a look at it after you are done!
And, no, I don't think you should take a picture of it!
So, Gentlemen, there you have it. Some very easy things to change to bring peace and harmony to the home.

My ex is mild-mannered, calm, rational, and frugal to the point where when he does open his wallet the Queen winces at the light. In all the years we were married I saw him lose his temper once.
So he'd been working on contract in the US and went up to Canada to meet up with my daughter and some family friends. When he tried to fly back to the States, he was told he couldn't, he was outwith his residential allowance for the year. So my mild-mannered ex throws a strop of note and furiously books himself AND daughter, (who was already booked on a flight to London!) onto the first plane leaving the country. Lufthansa. To Germany. First Class.
I wish, I really wish, I had seen it, I have never understood what makes somebody do something completely alien to their character. Although it has happened to someone equally close to me since, I didn't see the actual metamorphosis that time either.
Have you ever flipped and done something completely out of the norm? What triggered it?

So I have old fashioned morals and principles...I cant help it..it is who I am and yet I find myself adrift in this new weird world of dating or what I think of as dating.
A little background in order to understand, I'm nearly 50 years old. I have had 2 long term relationships both 10 years the rest of the time single..so now I find myself wishing and wanting to share time with a man again so on a friends suggestion trying a 'dating site'. I'm at a loss to understand the mind games and untruths..when did it all become all about sex?? ok I hear you say...old fashioned...yes I am but I would like to take the time to get to know a person by personality before I jump into bed with them..oh and I'm not a Jennifer Aniston or Michelle Phiefer look alike...I'm a real woman with curves...do men really just want a play thing to be discarded when the sweet shop opens again ?? If I sound angry I dont mean to be...just want to understand so I can get off the rolller-coaster

Just want to know whether this dating site really works.
Oh I met someone here back in 2012, then met him in person November 2012 when I was on my trip to Europe then we decided to give it a try. We met again January 2013 in Vietnam (he was already made a plan to travel to Chine before we met, so we agreed to meet in the middle where I don't need visa). It went well actually and on March he visited me for my birthday. But on May we called it off for some reasons.
Actually there are 2 things I want to know; does dating site and long distance relationship works?
