What would I call those people on CS I would enjoy having a drink with if the chance came up, would go out of my way to meet, have talked to a great deal over the last nearly-two-years, and really like?

I follow, and am followed by, hundreds of people on Twitter - I've met, hmm, about twenty of them, a fluctuating group of us meet up several times a year, always fun. Friends?

I have hundreds of friends on Facebook - some genuinely are, scattered all over the world, we often haven't seen each other in years and may never meet again, but we share news and photos. Some are colleagues from earlier jobs, and some are writers I may one day meet. Facebook calls them all friends.

Real life, a handful. Very highly valued.

Easy to find out who's a true friend - screw up, or go through a challenging time, then see who sticks around.

Okay, not easy. But definitely interesting!

Yet what is a person who is entertaining, amusing, but ducks out whenever they have something more interesting on, or you aren't as much fun as usual? We always do enjoy catching up.

There need to be more words than just 'friend'

I want to know from others experience in regards to CS. I am here to actually meet someone in my area- CA. I am getting messages from other States and Countries at times. I unfortunately do not get many messages. The profiles seem too good to be true, like written from a romance novel. I've chatted to men who are widowed, stationed in Africa lol and asked for email to chat. I think the whole site is entertaining I guess but not realistic to meet someone. One said just from 2 emails he was in love and wanted me for marriage. It's all like the show CAtFiSH. At least no scammers for money. Definitely don't have any. haha. So, is this site legit or a weird joke ?

Day one:
Window shopping.
Loads of e-mails from random guys.

Day two:
Hours answering all e-mails.
Felling exhausted.
What am I doing here?

Day three:
Found the blogs, but couldn't post.

Feeling like a stalker, secretly watching.
Learned about scammers.

Day four:
Wrote to a nice guy I liked. Feeling hopeful.
Checked my mailbox 398 times. No reply.
Blocked a few scammers.

Day five:
Still no reply. Clearly, he is not interested.
Struggling with my feelings to not write again.
Dignity lost the battle.

Day six:
Learned to live with rejection.
The flow of e-mails decreased to a bearable pace.
Empty mailbox.
What am I doing here?

Day seven:
Officially promoted to a CS citizen.
Time to post.

In the past, I have written a blog or even possibly blogs about love and what is it. As I am listening to past radio episodes, a prominent Father says that love is something that can run out of a person. He essentially, from my understanding says, that once you love one person, you run out of love after that and it is difficult to give out love again....if not impossible.

In the past, I believe that many, including myself with the original post and comments and remarks maybe touched on love and its characteristics....but maybe not love itself. This Father describes as a sort of energy....a real thing. He also refers to God as love.


Well...

we have a lot of unrest today

along with a lot of divorce.



Just some speculation.

It’s taken a few years – okay, lots - but I finally know what I want.

Sell more books. That opens up more options and funds everything else. Earning cigarette and holiday money from present levels of sales is handy but that income needs to increase, hmm, ten-fold. Action required – study marketing and stop wasting marketing time on CS

Write more books. 13 non-best-sellers isn’t enough, more books published is more books to sell. (See above) Action required – stop wasting writing time on CS

Enjoy life. I like where I am, but I do know I won’t feel this good forever. So far I have met men I like, men I trust, and men I fancy. If the universe would just be a darling and send along someone I like, trust, and fancy, who likes, trusts and fancies me, that would be just peachy. Action required – some time on CS?

Move to a better climate where people speak English and I can nip back regularly to see daughter in England without going into meltdown because the flight is so horrendous. Action required – pick another language and learn it, to open up options

Hello it’s me and I know, you don’t usually see me this time of day.

Usually? Ever. I’m awake an hour earlier than usual because my good buddy / LDR called me at sparrows to see whether we’re still on for Portugal or whether I had eloped.

Comedians at break of day, oh yes please.

Thing is, I dearly love having male buddies but right now I’m rich beyond the dreams of avarice with male buddies. I’m talking to four through the joys of social media, between texts, whatsapps, skype, emails and good ol’ CS. One is now mainly lunchtimes - since I re-wrote his dating profile he’s getting out a lot more in the evenings. I get to hear about every date. In detail. One is early evening, one is middle evening, one is late evening. I’m like Crazy, but without the sex! because every single one of them thinks of me as good ol’ Fred and tells me about this lovely female, or that not-so-lovely-but-keen female, or just general stuff. Elope? To be laughing.

My romantic interest is mainly phone calls and long chatty emails. Occasional phone calls and emails. Tell you what. The day he calls to say there’s this female who has said something and what does it mean, is she interested, I will rip his head off, shove gravel down his throat, start taking male hormones, grow a beard and become good ol’ Fred because that’s obviously who I was born to be.

Good ol’ Fred. Sheesh.

If anyone can tell me how to turn back into a female, that would probably be handy. Especially for Portugal.

Now that Beapatient spilled the beans, I may as well own up. All my life I had this silly believe that Beatrix was just a sister to me. That was until Sunday two weeks ago when she challenged me to kiss her and then to tell her afterwards that I don’t love her. That kiss changed everything and started a chain of events that cannot be undone. Nothing will ever be the same again.

I realize now that I have always loved her but I was too hard headed to admit to it. I shudder when I think how close I came to losing her for ever. I can only hope that in the years to come, I will be able to make up for all the years that she so unselfishly devoted to me. All the times she cared for me when I was ill, all the plates of food she cooked for me when I was not well, all the times she cleaned my house, and all the other little things she did for me.

We’ll be signing our contracts next week. My father is thrilled with joy. Beatrix did him the honor to ask him to give her away (to me) in the church as her own father is no longer with us. Initially she was going to ask her brother to do it, but he is my best friend and I had already asked him to be my best man. But my father is a good choice. He knows her as long (and as well) as anybody else and she has known him all her life.

My daughters are not too happy about it but they will have to get used to it. I’m getting older and I’m tired of being alone.

This also means good-bye. It was her only demand. I therefore thank you for all the good times here on the blogs and I wish you all of the best.

Naturally, there will be those who will applaud my departure; you know who you are. To you I can only say: “May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.”

Why, as a man, when one is in a relationship every other woman seems to want to flirt with you - yet when you become single you are single alone?
