Let's talk ? ?

Long distance relationships are problematic and demand a lot of sacrifice; to say the least. It brings about many logistic problems. Visiting each other is fun, but once the romances had been sorted out, the real problems start; for such a relationship would require for at least one party to relocate.

If the two parties live in the same country it is not too bad, but if they live in different countries it brings even more hurdles to overcome. Of which fiscal control is not nearly the least. One does not easily leave your life’s savings behind.

This can be further complicated by differences in culture, religion, tradition, careers and so many other things. Bear in mind that, because of the geography, the parties involved cannot know each other too well either.

Racial differences should not make it worse, but certainly do not make it easier either and serves very well to underline most the other issues. While one can change of religion, adapt to new culture, adopt new traditions and carve new careers, you cannot change your race. Not even with an operation. You will die being what you were born as.

And then I did not even talk about the tension, embarrassment and uneasiness that family, friends and strangers alike can bring about with their prejudice.

They say where there is a will there is a way. But is there a way to sort all these difficulties? It is easy to say one must reach a compromise, but compromise requires sacrifice. And one must be satisfied and contented with your sacrifice.

And then I ask myself; can it really work? Can love alone overcome all; or does it need a little help?

As I type this, photographs of beautiful women are clustered around the blog frame. I could date chinese women, I am being offered 5 or 6 beauties right here on CS, and there are some lovelies at the bottom of the page as well.

Excuse me while I go cut my throat in the face of all this competition. Have my settings just changed, or is this new?

And CS website designers, um, couple of women bloggers here as well. Some male totty would be nice. Just saying.

I said it before and I say it again, not all women are angels and not all men are devils. The opposite is also true, not all men are saints, and not all women are demons. For every man walking around acting like a pig there is a b*tch lurking somewhere else. They deserve to end up together but sadly, it seldom works out that way.

Men, in general, cannot be blamed for the behavior of some men; just like women, in general, cannot be held accountable for the actions of some women. Men love no less intense than women. Men are hurt as easily as women are; we just don’t walk around with our hearts on our sleeves. We are too proud to show our hurt.

But, back to the point, you've been had and you are now blaming your ex for you miseries. Why not put yourself on trail to see if some of the blame can be placed on you.

So tell us, who selected this nasty, unfaithful and violent lover as a partner? Whose mistake was that? Or were you forced into it

And who allowed this nasty, unfaithful, and violent lover to abuse (or cheat) you? You again? Oops, this is getting embarrassing.

And finally, what took you so long to put a stop to it? Don’t bother to answer this. You see, people can only do to you what you allow them to do. The first time you are abused by somebody, it is a shame. The second time it is an outrage but the third time, it is utter stupidity. Or maybe you liked it, some people do.

So, unblemished as you may believe you are, you must carry the bulk of the blame. You could have prevented all of it if only you had chosen a better lover. And even after that, you had plenty of opportunity to end it before it got out of hand but you did not.

We are all in control of our own lives. Take hold of it and don’t allow false hearted lovers to control it. If you allow it, is your own fault.
