My mum is in her 60s. She has a peephole and double locks on her door. She does not answer the door unless it's her building manager or her relatives. She has frustrated many a service person. She screens all her calls; if she doesn't know who's calling she doesn't answer the call. She doesn't sign anything unless one of her grown children is present (two of us are lawyers). My mother is naturally suspicious anyway and we've taught her well. So far, no scammer has been able to get by her.Such a shame she has to be hyper-vigilant.

I will agree that what is stated in this article is mostly true. There is the pain of letting go and the sorrow of not having that person's company to enjoy. Sometimes we forget the events the led up to the breakup. But believe it or not some things like destroying some items can be a relief valve for the pain.With me, its like a resurrection, a rebirth, a phoenix, a "new" person rising up out of the ashes of despair and heartache ready to face the world once again. Yeah, I use fire as a way of burning my past so my present and future will not choked down.
The one thing most people don't realize is that there maybe some one else outside of the relationship who may be putting thoughts and ideas into the other person's mind. Usually this done from within the family; for instance say a mother who does not like the person because of where he or she is from.
The best thing to do is rise up and keep on living. Hearts really don't break they bend.

Good article...Here's my view, female humor is more subtle and sophisticated than male humor. Stooping to toilet humor, ethnic slurs, vulgar or foul language or berrating their spouses for a laugh takes away from a lady's spirit. As mentioned in others' comments, women, for the most part, are quite witty and enjoy a good laugh, but ours is the joy and silliness of everyday life. i agree with the article and particularly the part about moving too quickly...the honesty part is a life long habit weather for good or bad ..but even honest people who are lonely can make the mistake ...of moving too quickly ... and i know this is for real... moving too quick into a relationship commitment only leads to more heart ache.. and frustration...and the opportunity is lost..

Speak for urself araya, you may be like that but that's no guarantee every guy is the same. No person is the same as another, regardless of gender. Hell, even identical twins arent always alike. FYI, I find eyes an important physical feature, and I may not be after marriage yet, but i have a mind that plans the future rather than living in the moment, which works for me. So Id be more certain of my choices of marriage or family that most guys my age. I dont want either right now but i plan on wanting it after age 25-26. Very few guys actually have the specifics down for that stuff. And ive also known women who werent partial to talking about marriage. The basis of anything social is that no one is the same. You see it as the way you wrote it. I see it differently. There are no doubt others who see it neither way, but their own. Keep looking and you find someone who is similar but rarely are they exactly like you. (And that doesnt work out because it becomes predictable and the spark quickly dies out due to boredom.
