gooddogman: Their are some very evil people that would hurt you. I respect the view of deadly force only against deadly force. I also would like a peaceable soultion to end a situation but I would rather live another day. I would not let someone harm me or you or anyone else even if their point of view is different. Guns are a fact of life and they can kill you, the person that wants to do you harm also knows that. As Colt said it is a great equializer.

I freely admit that guns are made for killing. I also think tanks are made for the same thing. I don't want a tank, but I'm not giving up my Ruger, for you, or anyone.

jessejess47: ok I understand what you are saying vonney or at least think I do and agree with you most of the time, first of all not everyone has guns here, also some that do do not use them to kill anything ,My son and I enjoy skeet shooting as well as fishing and playing Foos-ball ,so for us it is together time or whatever you wish to call it , and one other point is it is our right to do so in this country .

skeet shooting is a sport that you launch small round targets into the air and shoot them, it is really loads of fun ,my son and I do this a lot.

So what you are proposing is that we overturn the 2nd ammendment to the constitution.
As for the refrence to vehicles, I was merely attempting to come up with something to draw a correlation to. That being said, I was trying to wrap my brain around the logic of picking one over the other when in fact the number of deaths caused by each is roughly equal.
To take it a step farther, is it correct to assume that you would be opposed to anything whose original purpose was to maim and kill?
