Stay with me

Stay with me - never leave me now,
There’s nothing else that matters,
I am here, I’m stuck with you now,
And your life with me will be better.

There’s nothing else that matters,
Mind, our life’s but a briefest time.
And your life with me will be better,
Just remember we’re lovers now.

Mind, our life‘s but a briefest time,
We may linger on - we may die.
Just remember we‘re lovers now,
Stay together - not break apart.

We may linger on - we may die
Before prime - before older age.
Stay together - not break apart,
Love’s the only thing that does count.

Before prime - before older age,
Nothing steps in the way of love.
Love’s the only thing that does count,
What could possibly make us part?

Nothing steps in the way of love,
I am here, I’m stuck with you now.
What could possibly make us part?
Stay with me - never leave me now.

Without Love

There is no sun on heavenly arch,
No breezes blow, woods give no start
With joy …
Without love there’s
Neither beauty,
Nor immortality there is
Without love.
But, oh, so different is
Love, the latest love.
Same as autumnal bloom,
Often better than the primal one.
It never calls for stormy,
Savage passions,
Or youthful zeal, for voice outloud
It never calls …
Grown shy and wild
In autumn cold,
Spring’s tender blossoms
It resembles not …
In place of breeze
Storm’s fondling it,
In place of flame caress so quiet
It rounds up.
And withers, withers
Love, the latest love,
It withers wistful, soft,
With doleful charm.
And there’s on earth
No immortality itself,
No immortality itself there's on the earth
Without love!!!

About this poem:
Galaktion Tabidze (1892–1959) - the 20th century Georgian poet whose writings profoundly influenced all subsequent generations of Georgian poets. He survived Joseph Stalin's Great Purge of the 1930s, which claimed lives of many of his fellow writers, friends and relatives, but came under heavy pressure from the Soviet authorities. Those years plunged him into depression and alcoholism. He was placed in a psychiatric hospital in Tbilisi, where he committed suicide (Wiki).

This is how the poem sounds in brilliant recital!

A loving hand

A loving hand placed on our shoulder
Gives us a reason to grow older
Kindness after them being away
Is all we need for our self to stay?
No wind will blow us apart
We are stronger from the start
Being bound by a mutual tether
To survive the most heavy weather

Although our star signs are not the best
Love and understanding will do the rest
To not fall ill of our own mistakes
A little compromise is all it takes
To keep our friend and our lover
Protect us first from each other
Be an example to display
How to love each and every day

Love's Castaway

Adrift from my past
Lonely as the sea
Which surrounds me
Empty as a piece of blue sky
Broken wings will not fly
Silent as my darkest night
Waiting for an angel of
Love to rescue me

Let Your Eyes

Never mind what to say let your eyes do the talking
Never mind right or wrong
Let your eyes do the forgiving

Never mind once we were young and now we are getting old
Just look at me and let your eyes
Touch my soul

I'm no good at this I know and if I keep writing I'll never let you go
Is it wrong should I say so long
Let your eyes do the forgiving

Let your eyes read this love story and when you feel you could cry
Let your eyes do what no one really wants to do
Let your eyes surrender to goodbye

HEART WEALTH

The day arrives you've been waiting for
Excitement tingles, to your very core
What will happen, how will it finally be
The clock ticks, as you wait to see

When your bubble, explodes once more
A delay awaits you, the reason unsure
Do you smile, say you understand
Or are words, written in shifting sand

Disappointments, we accept in life
But when repetitive, causing strife
Decisions made, for self esteem
Feeling wretched, not a cat with cream

Are you selfish, you can ask yourself
Gifting your heart, is a form of wealth
Only we decide, when to draw a line
Accepting the outcome, decision mine......

SEEKING......

When you meet, one does not know
How the seed of love, will grow
Will it be special, easy and free
Or eggshells and tip-toes, the key

However it starts, you sense hope
Thoughts wander, and like a rope
Tweaking and tugging, to the one
Stirring emotions, excited and fun

How it might be, as time goes by
It's unknown, and you may sigh
Until you accept, if it feels right
Along a dark tunnel, seeking light....

"another"

a town called Another
a town like the others
where people dug coal mines
drank with their brothers

I met her in winter
when cold slept in slumber
behind the mountains
out of the rains

a world of rough labour
the hardest endeavour
peabody rail track
on peabody trains

I danced with her tightly
because that's what you do
a weeks worth of magic
in one hour or two

tracing her hips
through the thread of her dress
she moved like a songbird
leaving its nest

it ain't like no movie
no breath taking scenes
but black nugget mining
means coffee and beans

I never.. kept a picture
but her features are scripture
frescoed tiles
on the walls of my dreams

"Long Walks"

Long Walks...
Bring Rusty Railroad Tracks,
Crisp cool nights.
Old Wooden Train Bridge,
Overlooking moonlit lake,
My hand tight in yours

<<<< SHE IS BEAUTIFUL.>>>>

Sun kissed features .. ever gentle
Sit serenely on my mind
Soft brown eyes that seem to beckon
Search a soul and seek to find
Shapely lips are curved and smiling
Hint of maybe better times
Should her search for love eternal
E're be caught among these lines

Saw her picture and her writings
On the place that I searched on
For the same in love's foundation
Hope and dreams 'fore my life's gone
My thoughts distant ever reaching
To this heart so far away
If perchance we get to meeting
What are the words that we might say

Quiet chat across a table
Eyes that search each others face
Reading signs that tell a story
Beating heart needs slower pace
As the moments .. slowly passing
Ease the tension of first taste
Of each others first encounter
Slowly need no time for haste

Conversation... light and cheerful
Smiles and laughter soon take hold
As the evening on progresses
Past and present stories told
Then the time it comes for parting
Silent thoughts of what took place
Ever gentle in my memory
Are the features of that face

Should there be another meeting
Has the moment cast a spell
Time will reveal its own true story
Where these beating hearts will dwell
Sometime soon there'll be an answer
To the question on our minds
Whether it will be together
Or just be friends of present times

Life has shown me many changes
Some roads new but most are old
Some roads rough and hard to travel
Others smooth and paved with gold
Life has taught me.. never falter
Find the purpose .. travel on
Far into the unknown distance
Life .. like shadows .. soon is gone
