Poets Corner

Ive not been here for a bit,
Im sorry Ive not been by,
Im sorry I have missed you all,
but heres the reasons why,

Life has been crazy here,
Im not the only one,
Its one thing after another,
If its not my dad, its my mum

If its not friends coming to stay,
Its the typical man flu,
If im not working away,
Im trying to decorate my loo,

Its one thing after another,
but this much is true,
despite this hectic life,
I enjoy sharing with all of you

So im sorry if ive neglected,
some fantastic written stuff,
and missed the chance to tell you all,
how its been smooth with the rough

We all have our problems,
and each seem so much worse
but atleast I have "The Corner"
to read and share my verse.

:-)

Thanks for reading folks and I look forward to being back soon properly, everything is fine here, im always smiling :-)

Worries from the grave!

Who taking care of my garden? You know that's my personal eden! And for my sweet little fluff? That pretty dog has had enough! My poor husband i know he tries. I pray his meals aren't french fries. It's said: your grandchildren are bright! Still, hope they being raised right. They better make payments to our loan; i couldn't afford to lose my home. As for my position in church; they were warned: start your search. Now, let me take my final rest. I do, wish you all the best!

Kiss Me

Kiss me
and I will fill your world
with rainbows

Kiss me
I will pick you
the sweetest flowers

Kiss me
I will place moonbeams
on your pillow

Kiss me
I will sing you
a love song

Kiss me
I will shower you
with the warmest rains

Kiss me
I will never leave......

Still of the Night...

Sitting here in the still of the night
I think of you,
I listen
As waves gently lap the shore,
They seem to whisper to each other
Sharing secrets
of years gone by,

The moon peeks out from behind a cloud,
shyly she dances on the crests of the waves
pirouetting on tiptoes,
Then suddenly
she is gone again,
As if playing a game of hide and seek,

A gentle breeze stirs in the stillness
Tracing its soft gentle fingertips
over my skin,
Like smooth velvet rose petals it showers me,

As in the still of the night, I sit
and think of you....

Liberty vs freedom.

It was french conned; the notion of liberty. Democracy's door they opened, chanting freedom liberty fraternity! Others did follow suite; Haiti joined the fray. Revolution though not cute, paved the "freedom way". Need to mention england; whose throne feared badly. America declared/won independence, her symbol, statue-of-liberty. Women wouldn't be denied; most are now "liberated". With salaries lagging behind, many still feel frustrated. Radical changes-throughout time; did it, "set people free"? Sure, freedom voices chimmes; is that the liberty? There are still needs; the political "powers" dictate. Many hungry mouths to feed, "welfare" in western states! Social unrest is brewing, egyptians on the streets. "People" still are pursuing, "percieved freedom" they seek. However the question remains: how free can we be? Democracy seems like gain, but, is that liberty? Sin enslaves mortal man, that's according to scripture. Bible makes us understand; life ísn't about pleasure. Christ died for us; he gave man liberty! Delivering belivers from lust and, setting captives free. Now, those seeking libety; he meets that need. Who-so- ever he sets free, gets "title", "free-in-deed"!

Getting the monkey off your back!

Look, go to france! Yes, go to france boy. Often mother's last stance, when she was annoyed. We all know mothers, one thing they fret! Avoiding words with 4 letters, words they would regret. Cussing the kids politely, using obscenity with tact. Telling us kids kindly: get the monkey off my back. Rain rain go to spain, and never come again. These children seem pained, looking helpless at the rain. This their unanimous cry, wishing the rain away. Anything they will try, on their mind is play. Kids don't need diplomacy, they don't need tact. What they mean simply: get the monkey off my back! You filed for bankruptcy; protection from the courts. You know you owe money, but creditors you must thwart. Mail after mail coming, not to mention your phone. Your bills just not going; lord, you are debt prone. You don't have money, that is the fact. Wall street: this not funny. Get your monkeys off my back!

Limerick-a-Palozza

There once was a group on the Corner
To belong to was considered quite the honor
Then across the pond came a duck
And in limericks we got stuck
Now, before my friend joins, should I warn her?
