Is this an echo ?

If I say "let's play" you say "let's play"
If I say "stupid" you say "stupid"
If I say "I don't play no more"
you say "I don't play no more"
Later on, I feel lonely.
If I say "I'm sorry" you say "I'm sorry"
Is this an echo to repeat anyone's words?
No, It happens to anyone.

If you speak to other kindly,
they reply to you kindly.
Love : )

Tribute to Friends (Pt1)

When I was a little girl
I often wished to travel the world,
Meeting people every day seemed to me the best way
I would pretend that I'm on a steam ship to
Far away Indonesia,
At times I even thought I'd be on safari in Africa
Then when I read our Kerrygold milk pack
I'd wonder about Ireland
They say it's the home of leprechauns, little green men,
How I'd love to see one of them
But I'd never been anywhere thus far
And so they all stayed in my head...
Well, if you want we could count St. Lucia...
Then one day I browsed online and came to a site
Connecting Singles all around
Across sea, through the air and on the ground
I met different but wonderful folks like Shadow, Serenity, Morgen, Spartacus and many more
And I can't forget Darkhorse... curly hair and twinkly eyes,
The list can go on and on
But I must mention it was there I met Poet#1
They came from places I'd only read about and shared their stories of War and love, through their poems and their prose
Sometimes it was just letting out their woes
With words of comfort and encouragement
They've managed to become my friends
And even if we're worlds apart
I will always carry them in my heart

What is a Poem (my thoughts)

For me a poem is a thought, an idea, a feeling,
Captured in words that either rhyme or not, but that flows like
silk or water over the readers mind, dark and deep or light and uplifting, all designed to make you feel.

A Man, Woman, child, king, knight, maiden, shoemaker, dreamer, anyone who puts pen to paper and comes up with a piece that people read for me is a poet, nobody is perfect everyone is learning and improving every day, if we stop learning we die and fade away.

Every thought we are allowed to see from another mind is a precious gift of trust from that person, a glimps into their heart and mind at that second as they put it down on paper and should be treasured as such.

as I was told once 'don't be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try'

Mirror image

The mirror was to the floor, heavy silver frame.
A lone woman stares at the image she makes,
Feels nothing, and wonders how the glass would feel.

Hand reaches out and touches the cool glass, she closes her eyes, and her hand slides through to the other side, her arm then her body follow.

The sudden cold like ice hits her, the silence is so complete she feels like she has become the glass, not even her heart beat excists.

Warm hands close over her shoulders, she feels like the fingers are burning into her cold skin.

She is pulled back into arms that shelter, and she opens her eyes, she is once more looking into the glass, but now there are two.

The Mad Nubian Goat Herder

"there she goes"
they whispered and grinned

"that's the mad Nubian Poet"
"I hear she has sinned"

"she has friends though?"
"Yeah right, I'm sure she has

one"

"not too sure
she seems like fun"

"she lives on farm now"
"what does that say"

"milking goats
and no play?"

"look at her wellies"
"all painted with signs"

"but they are circles of peace"

"yeah, she's so hippy"
"behind the times"

"ssssshhh, she's heading our way"

"More wine with your cheese?"
"I welcome your stay"

A tender smile
broke like a rainbow
over her face

As under her swannie

Was leather and and lace

~~~~A TRUE FRIEND FOREVER~~~~~~
A friend is someone who recognizes, and
someone you can trust.
They will listen to you both night and day without ever making a trouble.
A friend will stand by your side when you are right and sometimes when you are wrong.
They will hold you up when you are weak and offer support to make you strong.
A friend's love is unreserved and unique in every way.
And when you have difficulties a true friend will kneel down with you and pray.
A friend will stand by your side through thick and thin.
And whenever everyone has isolated you they still will be your friend.
A friend once said to me that a friend is sent from God above and I believe this to be true.
Because God has sent all of my poet friends to me and those friend to me are YOU.
A true friend is always there for me,
To catch me if we fall,
They never swear, lie or cuss,
But they will tell me to stand tall.
A friend teaches me to be modest,
because they know that sometimes we stumble.
A true friend will always be there,
and I know that they care
A true friend will always be true to heart,
and so many friends will never be apart.
Above all I know who you are,
and you all in poet corner will always
Be my shining star in poet corner~~~~~
The 19th of October
Wood sheds its dress of crimson red,
Frost coats with silver withered fields,
Day shows its face as if against its will
And hides itself behind a hillside edge.
You, fire ablaze, in my secluded cell,
And you, oh wine, a friend of autumn cold,
Pour into soul sweet poison of all days
For brief oblivion of bitter thoughts.
I am so sad, no friend sits by my side,
With whom I’ll wash long parting down,
Whose hand I’ll shake with hearty laugh,
Whom I could wish so many years to last.
I drink alone; in vain imagination mine
Calls out for friends to come for brief respite;
No sound of their approach, familiar strides,
No longer is my soul in wait for dearest one.
About this poem:
Alexander Pushkin wrote this poem when living in exile on the 19th of October – the day when his former lyceum friends marked the anniversary of graduation, in appreciation of their cordial friendship. I have translated only two stanzas of a long poem, dedicated to friendship.
LISTEN
I DID'NT HEAR YOUR VOICE TODAY
TO ME THAT VOID'S BEYOND DISMAY
I PLAYED WITH TONES THAT WERE OF YOU
AND LISTENED LONG TILL TWILIGHT'S DUE
WHAT IS THE SOUND I CANNOT HEAR
LIKE SILENT FLOW O'ER RIVER'S WEIR
WHAT IS THE MIND THAT CAN'T PERCEIVE
NATURE'S EVOLVE IN LIFE'S CONCEIVE
YOUR ECHO LOUD IS NOW IN ME
I CLOSE MY EYES TO SILENT BE
YOUR PRESENCE GLOWS THROUGH MYSTIC HUES
AND SOFTLY CROONS FOR ME TO MUSE
I DID NOT MISS YOUR VOICE TODAY
IT NEVER DIMMED NOR WENT AWAY
I KNOW THAT VOICE IS PART OF ME
LIKE WHISTLING WIND AND ROARING SEA
the mechanic
German...you worked the dock
Diesel in your veins just like stock
Secured a passage long ago
Brought your frualine an your know
Skilled at fixing machines an things
A sense of humour with it brings
A friendship started in '79
Till death departed before your time
You taught me everything i know
An even some more just to go
A father figure i would say
My opinion for you today
We worked like trojans in the mine
Together a strength of one mind
Undoubtedly the greatest man i ever knew
Kurt my friend a tribute to you
