Checkers Anyone?

While talking there online last night,
You found that we could play,
Some games while we were gabbing so,
To pass the time away.

Backgammon was too much for us.
At pool we took a shot.
That too proved beyond our ken,
So checkers was our lot.

We got into the game and then,
It turned into such glee,
As if we both were drunk as skunks,
Though not a drop had we.

My moves and jumps and strategies,
All proved to no avail.
Your kings and soldiers overcame.
You soundly whipped my tail.

The game was just a vehicle.
I lost, but did not care.
The fun we had was more than worth,
The beating I took there.

We laughed and giggled, talked some trash.
It really was a ball.
As we grew ever closer there,
While playing on that call.

We both had needed that relief,
From daily drudgery.
A game of checkers brought us both,
Together you and me.

Missing a Friend

She said she loved me as a friend,
That she still cared for me.
But now the mail and messages,
Are few and far between.

Is it she fears I'm still in love,
And that for her I pine?
Thinking that by letting be,
She's only being kind?

We were good friends before we fell,
Just spoke of ev'rything,
Of art and beauty, poetry,
The gifts of life, the stings.

Yes life goes on, she has her own,
As I am leading mine.
So many things to do each day,
So very little time.

I hope someday that she will see,
This shouldn't have to end.
So we may chat from time to time,
A message, friend to friend.

How Are You? ...Or.. Do You Have A Friend?

If someone is nice to you but never comes to where you live
it is a polite stranger

If someone comes where you live and thanks you for inviting
it is an acquaintance

If someone comes to where you live and says “I’m home”
it is a friend

If someone asks “how are you”
and wants to hear “fine”
it is a polite stranger

If someone asks “how are you” and listens how you are
and will wish you luck
it is an acquaintance

If someone asks “how are you” and wants to know how you are
and will interfere your life without you asking for that,
because whatever is happening to you he takes as happening to him
it is a friend

.....no purpose no pride....

life dawn's upon him like a veiled cloak of black...........

from the first day of breath
misguided day to day a taught way of life
heavy heart in hand, ignorance grandeur
impaled social misfit, parental lack there of

doing what seems right in the mind status quo
not a thought or care as the minds unaware
he was raised by his folks never home never there
a walk about for life a step at a time

he bucked every system that fronted his day
comprehended nothing of structure of way
it all made no sense to his being of strife
day to day combat confused in whats right

judged for his actions by the ones on the bench
they had no idea how his mind made life sense
all they saw was a boy bad who was bent
how'd I get here in his mind heavy thought

a man in the back, yes he'd been there himself
embracing the thought the boys parents....forgot?
they weren't quite ready for children themself
yet how could they know....ignorance grandeur

the man in the back saw the boy on the street
he made his acquaintance, to the boy no big deal
the boy even fought to resist a new friend
in his mind was a thought whats he want why's he here

the boy he reacted and stepped back from this man
as the strangers gentle hand on his shoulder it did land
innocent intent the strangers way given forth
the first friendly touch he had known since his birth

the man in the back spread a wing unbeknown-st
as a life long of trust and a friend it begins
the boys lip curled up in a pouting young way
confused deep inside clouded mind angered face

in a place never been never seen, few times thought
his folks were the same never taught not forgot
somehow the boy felt a warmth from his touch
yet his mind tried to fight what felt odd not quite right

he'd never been shown part of life being close
as he bucked everything that fronted his day
he was judged by the ones that never had this life
he was bad and a misfit in a conflict of life

A note on the veranda

I left you a little note
That says how much
I could have wrote, what
I couldn't put into words
Just has to go unheard

I am sorry that it has to be this way
I didn't want to go away,
but after time and time again
We can return to being friends
I don't want to hurt you anymore
Before even I need to walk out the door

I left you more than a little note
But take what resonates with you
To keep afloat, and I will rush
To get my coat

These words I wish to say to you
I love you until the moon turns blue
Beyond the moon and the stars out back
Beyond the eclipse before it goes black

I will love you, friend, until the bittersweet end
Knowing that you have heartfelt matters to tend,
Don't be daft and be a stranger, if you need me, yell!
I will be there next to the willow tree near the wishing well.

A man's man

challenge's himself, graces other's, believes in himself to believe in others, he's forgiving, in his wake stands some earned respect, his path ahead is carved with acceptance of what will be ~

Just a Friend

Even though I cannot see you
I feel as if your by my side
When I heard your voice that first time
I couldn't help but smile

You made me feel loved again
Oh but how In sadness it all Ends
For you are Just my Friend

I understand that It cannot be
Oh trust me, I understand it!

Even though I sometimes miss you, I wouldn't dare to call
For I rather be just like this, then not have you at all
I love you in secret
It hurts me but at the same time I am happy that you're alright
I love you in secret
And so I'll continue with my life

Ive never met someone like you, peculiar in everyway
Once I heard your voice, that simply made my day!
And though I cannot say "I love you"
...even if sometimes I feel blue
In secret I'll always keep this feelings that I feel for you

I thought this would dim away
But time has made it strong
And even though you never say...
How could it go wrong?

If only you would let love back
Oh My! what we could have
But in Secret everything must stay, I will just pretend
I love you and you have no idea for you are just my Friend

"Secretive teen"

all his friends chipped in birthday boy beer in hand confused thoughts, where to begin, i'd heard the brag, tales told, becoming a man before i'm old, only two feet away experienced eyes, plundered thoughts dam those guys, picken the label both sweatin. . . . that she sees! not a finger dared where'd that grin go was ear to ear, relax it'll be ok nothing to fear, nervous eyes look round, quiet room not a sound, if I don't it's my town word gets around, it's our secret please don't share.

I Will Vist My Friend

Life is too busy, life is too fast
Life isn’t what it was in the past
I want to visit or call and say hi
I never actually do it, but I really do try

The weeks flash on by, they turn into years
The demands of living, the unreasonable fears
I still think of you and I will visit you soon
Our friendship revived, our friendship resumed

The workload increases, my energy is sapped
My home life in turmoil, I’m hopelessly trapped
I think of you often, at least I will write
I’ll explain my absence; I’ll tell you my plight

This morning I read with utter desolation
There in the obituary is the affirmation
My good friend is dead; all I can do is weep
I promised to visit my guilt is so deep

I held your love in the palm of my hand
And let it vanish like prints in the sand
It’s too late to call to tell you my friend
How I miss you already and shall till my end.

conversation

couldnt understand this feeling
so strange but yet exciting
everytime having a conversation
can't explain the happiness inside

u made me laugh, i made you too
u send jokes and i send a drama
u get me and i get u
so simple and easy that's what we want

i remmember the days when u and i started
it was on afternoon trying to get out from here
asking my yahoo id for an easy talked
then it ended with a happy smily day

we've talk and talk almost half of our day
didnt noticed the time is almost over
thought it could be forevr
but it ends with never ever...

i texted u on the next day
say hi and hello
and then replied me on the nextday
with saying sorry im busy and we cant talk..

i need to eat, i have something to to do here
i need to look for my cozy flat
i dont have time..hope u understand
that's drama oh its killing me
so i decided to stay away...

friends at first
yes it should be..
lets make the things spontaneous
as u always say..
and we will see how it's be going
'till the time and place is right for us..
