Thoughtful Thoughts

I am new I read a few
before I posted my view
compared too you
I was scared so many of you
So good writes
enjoyed them all I read
so many views love and hate
respect and disgrace
I was curious on how mine would do
I posted one or two then I knew
your thoughtful thoughts
the comments you made.
I embraced all of you.
Thank You.

Merry Christmas

To all that have known me and shared through the last couple of years, laughter, happiness, sometimes tears, and may all your lives be filled with joy for many, many years.
There are too many names to mention here, but thank you all,it is what makes this corner our home.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

To poets

Sing a song of living,
Sing a song of love,
Sing a song of friendship,
Here and everywhere.

Troubles all forgotten,
Feelings all set free,
Friends, I'll join the chorus,
Joyful and sincere.

Let these quiet moments
Give us great relief,
Sorrows be forgotten,
Join in common glee.

Friends, this little corner
Is a place we need.
Welcome all who join us,
Stay with us, don't flee.

Who Else ?

If I were to paint a picture,
the finest the world has seen.
People would say I'd had a vision
or reproduced a dream.
It would take each viewers breath away,
they'd gasp at every line.
It's beauty would be as a miracle,
that would stand the test of time.
For colours I would use the rainbows
that follow summer storms.
The sunrise and sunsets,
would outline its graceful form.
I'd capture natures' wonders,
for all to look upon
and what would I call this masterpiece ?
It would have to be Yvonne.

About this poem:
I have been sending and recieving messages from a Lady that has given me new life. It seemed most unlikely when I first came on here that I could ever find someone who would make me re-think my situation. I thank CS for this opportunity.

Not me

so young lady how do you plead
guilty or not guilty???
oh but your honour, not guilty"
NOT ME.

true" i was there on the night
but i was one in a crowd
it was others that done the kicking
as she fell to the ground..
THEM' NOT ME.

yes" they are my friends
but i am not guilty of their crime
yes" i heard her call for help
but it was to another she cried..
ANOTHER' NOT ME.

i dont know who she was
the stranger that ran to her aid
but i know who she wasnt
i lower my head in shame
ME' NOT ME.

I WILL CARRY YOU

I will Carry You

I will carry you in my heart even through the days we may be apart.

I will carry you in my heart even when your world seems to crumble and fall apart.

I will carry you when your lost and feeling blue, even when your skies are not turning blue
.
I will carry you, no matter what you do, I’ll carry you, through the storm if I’m needed too.

I will carry you through your pain when it’s to much to bare for thee. I will carry you until you can set it free, like dust in the wind and wind through the trees.

I will carry you when your needing a friend, to give you hope and to understand.

I will carry you through your thoughts of lonely cause your never alone.

I will carry you when you fall astray, needing an arm to pull you away.

I will carry you to the highest of plateaus to get you away from it all, so look down with no fear cause nothing can touch you here, I am the strength if your needing someone to be strong, I’m your crutch when you feel weak, so take a moment and lean on me.

I will carry you as long as you need, until that day comes, you may have carry me.

THIS IS YOU (dedicated to Watersandthewind)

This is you,
I'm not you,
You are you !
All of you !

Dam straight that is for sure,
Your style is so unique and true,
A touch of dazzaling flair..,
A brilliant stroke here,
A creative brush there!

A play of words,
A spin of actions,
A toss of prose,
Ricochet different reactions!

This is You,
Not us or them,
Not he,she or me,
It is all you,
The one and only YOU!

The Sort of Friend

The Sort of Friend
I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to
lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.

~~~~ SMILES TO GO MILES ~~~~
Maxeen_1 I saw something in you when I came to poet corner today. I found it with in your smile and you will be able to suceed with much happiness that will come your way just wait and do not hurry~~~
You shine through your glory and had to look at your age a couple of times in your profile just could not believe you are the gal of such this age, saw so much beauty of your youth in your profile picture all the men would be glad to throw you a party of their love~~~
Keeping the youth to shine through all of your beauty will get you the many miles you have to get to there, do not let this to stop you from your miles of greatness to come your way through your smile I am sure you have much happiness as it shows through your beauty as you
show much happiness in your profile...
I hope to see much more of your of beauty through poet corner and through the many of your writes or the ones to come as we together walk as poet friends keep up the smile of youth as many more need to learn of your happiness to make happiness go for miles and miles...
Busybody???
Watch the curtain twitch
think of the person behind
some would say a busybody
poking, prying in others life's
Stop and think, maybe not
this could be a lonely soul
someone left behind, now lonely
who's children seldom come
The window now their only way
to feel involved in life
watch others having fun
share just a little of their time
how sad to be reduced to this
not able to get out and about
their only glimpse of life
through that lonely window pane
About this poem:
loneliness is a terrible thing age doesn't matter there are many reasons for loneliness, a one parent, lost teenager,a disabled person, a recluse or an elderly person. I recently started a group and the response since the newspaper article last week has been tremenous. So as you rush about your own busy life take just a moment to stop and think is there anyone near by who would like, a phone call, a visit, taking to the shops or a prescription collecting? any help you give in this way helps so much
