May you always find blue skies above your head
Shamrocks beneath your feet;
Laughter and joy aplenty,
And kindness from all you meet.

Good friends and kin to miss you
If you ever choose to roam;
And a path that's been cleared
By the angels themselves
To carry you safely home.

The world is oft' a curious fit
For those for whom the trappings break
And many hearts have failed that spring,
That childlike spark that lights within

But there’s a refuge in between
The practiced waste and the fretting stone
Where Adam’s aim remained pristine
And Eden’s hope is there and seen

And in that pause of rare occurrence
I met the bards, the lyric’s crew
And with one voice, it came right through
“Welcome, welcome, we welcome you”

And so in words, my thoughts affirm
A favoured spot in this Para-realm
For all the poets, my friends all true
God's Peace and Joy I commend to you

So fair and fickle as a full grown child
Youth is captured in your radiant smile
A name you chose to become more styled
Is masking what you've been known for awhile

When fame and fortune replacing your soul
Is not something you ever consider
Why wonder why life is out of control
When you sell life to the highest bidder

The limelight glows on the stage you enter
For turning back is out of the question
A spotlight shines on you front and center
And accounts for your manic depression

When fame sets you apart from the masses
Time to take off those rose colored glasses

This Valentine is for a friend,
The one who always will defend
Me and my oft' transgressions,
You make each day more refreshing,
You hold my hand in choppy waters,
And love me like you are my daughter,
I want you to know at any time
You are my special Valentine.

sometimes it is just time to take a break from finding love.

are you looking really close

Look again beyond the obvious

Is it just the bad you see

Can you see the good, look really close

If you just look for the bad in me

you will never see what's good

so look again it's always been there

but you need to look really close

You will like what you find there

do you see me now, look close

Let us show esteem to each other
Let us celebrate life
Let us value people that we meet
As we pass this way but once.

May we share a word softly spoken
And encourage those who pass by
Let our lives touch each tenderly
As we pass this way but once.

May we help and not hinder
Let friendship be without cost
Those who tolerate and then dismiss
Let us not be part of this.

Do then good toward somebody
Kindness and compassion leave
Should you ever once feel cold

hi goodguy, let friendship be without cost, things do cost i admit, but my thought is if the friendship is of such quality, then even if it costs, it's a sacrifice we gladly take on. thanks for the thought

Theres this girl that lives out west
She reads my poems and tells me they,re the best
That brings to my lips a smile
And makes it all worth while

Reading her comments makes me want to write
It also causes me to sleep a little better at night
For just to know she has taken the time
I search for words that will rhyme

To say thanks is the least I can do
Like Johnny maybe someday Ill write a poem about you
Dont know what it will be about
