your future lies before you,
like a drift of fallen snow,
be carefull how you tread it
as every mark will show..

Cast off these lines have almost broken me
Making my body shudder with each wave
Letting me leave my safe harbor and flee
Myself of bonds never meant to enslave
Such as my spirit goes before me flies
Leaves an anchorage casts mooring aside
Riding silver wings overhead in skies
Soaring so highly and outstretched will glide
Past limits once held and checked in balance
Just for the sake of gravity I fear
Flying in the sunsets golden valance
Traveling in time makes great distance near
So at last we can meet and exchange smiles
Forgetting for now…. all the miles and miles

Yesterday's Sorrow
Author:(lindsyjones)
sometimes I'm amazed
at how stale and stubborn
I have become
and even out of sync with time
but then since you left
I don't have any reason
to keep track of moment
that comes and goes
I din't even know
summer is gone
fall, too, is now buried
deep in the snow
somehow I am anticipating
the new birth of tomorrow
but here I am still nursing
in my yesterday's sorrow
I am never wishing
that our past would come back
.... no!
it's just that I wish
the wound heals
and my mind forgets
all these pains and heartaches
so I can rest in peace.

Bright and light the air, chatter all around
Yet peace envelopes, a contented sound
Carried on the breeze, bar-b-que smells
A Saturday lunchtime, as hunger tells
Sunshine fighting, against the hint of rain
In the distance, the rumble of a train
Yet surrounded by friends with nature
In the distance, those intending to cater
Simple the scene, without pressure to be
Other than oneself, genuine friendship key
As spring heralds the start, of what's to come
Eager we wait, for the bright summer sun.

When the path you're on,
Seems to remain the same,
Just take the next turn,
And you will begin to see a change,
When clouds of darkness,
Start to roll in,
Please realize you can,
Truly begin again,
I know your painful past,
Keeps trying to hang on,
Too alone, too scared, No will to move on,
But never yield to fear,
The pain and the tears,
You're in the here and now,
You can't roll back the years,
So, wipe away those tears,
From your soft weary eyes,
Hold your head up,
Keep your eyes to the skies,
And you will rise,
Above your stormy gray world,
You know deep in your heart you're,
Just That Kind Of Girl.

About this poem:
Encouraging a close friend after her near total collapse under the weight of a very troubled past that simply refused to let her be.

I´ve seen so many faces
Blank ones with the snout of the pig
Friendly faces looking for sympathy
at the random pains to the world.
Have seen my own face in the mirror so many times,
my reflection in the eyes of lions, yeah, like they'd want your leftovers ...
They are burning behind you, and facing ahead of you the crowd of the enemies of the rock that holds your back, impersonal, without a face to hate them, but your smiley eyes keep loving the speedo: Freedom!!!!
We played our best cards and nobody lost the game.
On the contrary, we both won.
I'm his naughty Queen, he's my shy King. Royalty we define, no drama, respecting lifting one another.
Never letting anyone come in between us ...we are friends.
My timid King will have chocolate today sitting in his steel throne, it´s his Birthday.
,,,,and I love you Mr. B.

What's in a face, expressions
That give other's impressions
Some shallow, without fact
Compare beauty, others lack
Child's innocence, skin so fine
Elderly face, etched-and-lined
Eyes, that can mirror the soul
Lighting a face, make it whole
Contact with eyes , can be rare
Or hide behind, the fall of hair
Do we probe, to learn more
What's hidden, in-human-core.
We can wait, let time explain
Instead of tears, fall like rain
Give and take, the only way
Experience, to sharing days

To stand, looking out to sea
Gusts of wind, engulf me
Refreshing soul, so I feel
Fresh-vital, sadness peel
Some people have a way
Taking happiness, drain away
When others, force a smile
To lift us gently, even if miles
separate us, we'll always feel
They're close, their strength seals
Our being, making us strong
Those special people, we all long

Oh how tempting, an assortment you see
Sweet- attractive, choices for me
That's how it can be, on a dating site
Many to contact, no harm if you write
Numbers can multiply, confusion sets in
A cookie jar selection, isn't classed a sin
Yet some addicted, can't stop-say no
So communication numbers, tend to grow
Messages sent, become empty and brief
No one wants to hear, from time wasting thief
How often you've waited, a message returned
At first worried, and a little concerned
These tiny warnings, with many more
Referred to as beautiful, grates to the core
Sweetie and sweetheart, included too
For a cookie jar selection, as well as you
At first you accept, and also the banter
They believe they send gifts, just like Santa
Sincerity is important, friendship too
Over time, awareness becomes clues
So its important to be truthful, before
You find yourself blocked, a closed door
Consider why you're here, to yourself be true
Enjoying communication, as you're meant too

Here I am, stumbling down the street
The rain's pouring down
I'm staring at my feet
But splashing on my feet it is
my tears and not the rain
They're are salty and bloodstained
From my agonizing pain
Nobody could be more
mad at me than me
Why was I so stupid?
Never again will she trust me
She's asking me too many questions
Ones I want so much to ignore
But I've brought this on myself
What else could I have been asking for?
When I think about the way things are
The tears roll down my face
If only I could turn back time
I would've never ended up in this place.
