Bridge Over Troubled Water

If at any time in your life
you feel the desire and the
need for someone to be
a source of comfort and a
friend in all situations

I'm always around for you
sailing on the waters of life
right through the darkest hour just
behind you in fair or foul weather

Like a log on the river banks I will be
a path across for you just like a
bridge stretched from bank to bank
over the raging turbulent river
troubled by the wind churning the
water into a mass of liquid fury

I am right there at your side and
will always be there for you to
ease all your burdens and
your fears and to comfort your
mind to peace and tranquillity

The World

The world around me is falling apart;
A war, a death, a broken heart.
Peace it seems is too far away,
And so the world cries another day.
One person can't do it all,
Without your help the world will fall.
Without your help we will all die,
All because someone made someone cry.
Negativity is something the world doesn't need,
It only exists because of our greed.
If we all work together we may live,
All we need to do for the world is give.

About this poem:
I wrote this one when I was a senior in high school. I was very sensitive at that age and naive. I felt like everyone around me could care less about the world around them. I guess I just wanted people to be nicer and care more.

3 Cheers to 2013

Accidents do happen
But leave that all in the past
Grab a handle on life
Don’t let go of a friendship
For tomorrow is a new year
Let’s make it everything we can
Sipping hot cocoa together
Star gazing …
And skipping heart beats

Man in the Moon (Full of Thanks)

A face
A soul

You blink
You light

Steady the helm

Embrace

To harbored night

A conversation with two eyes...

Hello, where are you travelling today?
I’m far, far away...
I can see that, too far to commune with me?
It seems so, I’m experiencing an endless loneliness...

I can see that, but, I’m here, you’re not alone...
Are you really, or are they just words you’re telling me?
Aaahhh, how deeply I feel your travail, piercing me like a hot javelin thru my innards, No, I’m with you all the way, they’re not just words...,
The two eyes just look at me, too bereft of hope to respond...

I withdraw, but I do not abandon,
I allow them the dignity to ‘walk thru death’s dark vale’...,
I ‘stay the course’ for a looong three days, as the eyes continue to give me empty greetings, their voice reminiscent of the call of a forlorn loon, on some surreal, misty lake...

Finally, I’m met with the exuberance of healing as the two eyes greet me at the door,
Healing has occurred...,
How wonderful, she’s back...

My POET

He knows me not
nor i know him
yet he shovels my dirt to the surface
dig's out whats within.
My silent heartbreak
my failures,my loss
how does he know me so well
when he knows me not.
when words fail me
he speaks them for me
a total stranger
how can this be.
But must we know each other
to relise how much were alike
we cry the same tears for the same reason
we battle the same fights.
But alas i don't really care
he reminds me were all the same
and there is comfort in knowing your not alone
and i thank you for that, my poet, Mr james.

Streams

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----Yesterday was dark and gray and today its still the same
Tomorrow's forecast is slightly cloudy with a chance of rain
Imagine if we lived in a world where we turn on the news
Instead of something tragic it would tell us something good
But nothing is more assured than the plans devised by men
Building war machines and honoring the dead
Kindness proceeds a kind act if one passed it on and it never ends
The world isn't full of strangers just some friends we havent met
I know this could never be a perfect place and yet we still pretend
But nothing is more perfect than what we find inside heaven
One day we will all meet our maker or what ever it is that you believe
The depths may be in a ocean but it begins with a single stream

Imagine a Sea of Empathy

Scream a sunrise of fists
Beat the heart of man

Write a tablet of oaths
Stoned because you can

Wind a novel of space
Hilt the color of tan

Paint a history of ships
Patterns, a chevron fan

Poet a wave of warmth
Dearest shore of Cezzane
