Taking this opportunity to thank you all
Thank you very much everbody
For the experiences on this journey
The lessons that curved swerved n turned me
The bitter cup that burned me
The level ups that earned me
My stripes
Lika general kick back n bun da pipe
Peace n blessings every1ne
This life a school n so much fun
If I leave here today
1ne thing I will say
Maximize n multiply the joy come what may
Learn to dance in the rain and smile at the shit
No pain no gain but don't dwell in it
Laugh as hard as you can
And never try to conprehend
Making magik with simple simplicities my friend
My friends
And my family
49 goin on 9
Man so high like he sniffed a line
Maybe I have
Taken a line or two
Spiritual intellect is my special brew
I turn n churn n deliver to you
Good vibrations
Celebrate salutations
I am gratitude & I am patience
Thank you

In a skull white winter
battened down under ripple glass sky
your soft lipped promise
stirred the coals
torrid embrace
bone to bone
love lashed to the roaring iron
we did not fear the fallow days
nor judgement of lust
nor seed that forges the seasons
just within the covers
settled in the darkness
flower to the breast
in scented repose
sing me a rhyme
'til tomorrow cuts the dawn

bearded, wild
quick tempered be
my natural place
is on the sea
my northern star
her memory
the anchor locker
and the quay
nets to fire
rope to splice
my heart in summer
full of ice
her smile the sun
her form the shore
wrought from toil
her lips are pure
I see her now
amongst the waves
those hazel eyes
the tide betrays
net mending
as the season grows
needle dancing
through the rows
my hands are coarse
sandpaper'd rough
mist kissed skies
are not enough
blonde curtains draped
her smile unfurled
her hair falls over
the globe of my world

Where shall I go
How will I know
Where is the place I'm alive
Where do I roam
Where is my home
When will I arrive
Where are my friends
Where does the music blend
Where are the tears that let me know I can cry
Where is destiny without a sign
Where is hope without someone who is kind
And who knows where am I

For us the disease came and went, a short war,
six weeks we hustled around the house
making pies and scones
the birds in the garden
knew nothing of the contagion
nor the autumn trees
from an endless summer
few cars in the streets
unplugged
all tuned out
save the occasional broadcast
saying the numbers were less than yesterday
all fine in God's acre
the universe just washed us clean
May you receive the same soon..

About this poem:
As the planet battles Covid-19 New Zealand dug in quick and it payed off enormously.
So peaceful in the streets, hope all is well with you...

These sins of mine, persist with time, consisting of bad thoughts...
Then transfer to, actions untrue, just look what I have taught...
I brought truths not, then fought the fight, I ought not fight no more...
I might bring light, laced with pure dark... sick darkness I abhor...
At times it seems, serene in dreams, some dreams can open doors...
Revealing scenes, deep in between, these things should not be seen...
And while it's true, He suffered too, that I might suffer not...
Well I was taught, to be like Him...let me abide with You....

It broke the silence of the afternoon
the lurch, the shout
tall dreams of a towering wino
A fermented chorus
rabid and spent
move on, move on
tall dreams of a towering wino
No choral occasion
a neighborhood rip
a candid case for official liaison
tall dreams of a towering wino
Passed my window, passed my gate
a distant dog to which he now relates
tall dreams of a towering wino
