do or die

And just when you thought you could take no more
Look there swings open a door
Now it’s your
Choice
To pay attention to that inner voice
Don’t want
Don’t like change
But something needs to rearrange
Fear kicks in
Put on that fake grin
It’s do or die what are you waiting
For
Feeling like glued to the floor
Spirit try implore
But you’re
Just not quite sure
Better the devil you know hey
Or maybe another day
Or maybe another way
The time is here and now let’s get it on
In dance n song
Pass the peacepipe n bong
United we strong like King Kong
And your conscience will never lead you wrong
Deep breath n swallow
All for a
Better tomorrow
Borrow
A little faith
Embrace this space
This place
This door
Come on in
To new beginnings
New perception
New wisdom
And new understanding
Notwithstanding
The lessons learned from the past
The memories made can be saved
But it’s time for a new song to sing
A new joy to bring
Or rather reawaken
Claiming back that joy you thought was taken
Ahm ahm
Don’t be mistaken
Wake em n shake em
Up
It’s on you to fill back up your own cup
And sup
And sup
Until your belly full
Now your energy high n on point like red bull

forsaken

deep past the arrival of eve's night
long after the throng of the city's holiday paraders have gone
he is left far from the crowd, hopelessness his only companion
the avenues mostly still, mostly silent
the homeless panhandler remains in an alley
set against a structure where exhaust vents release warmth from below
he is posed for yet another long night's passing
the only place available to him where a freezing death may not find him
sleep may or may not come for him
half a bottle of wine might offer some comfort, for a short while anyway
as he sips his salvation, he journeys in mind
on a road traveled often, destination never to be found
where his future may lead him, he knows not
it seems that he has always merely tried to last into the following day
with a grimace he muses of tomorrow
when the sun rises next, it will be christmas day
not the best of days for him
truth be told, it could be only the worst
for he knows very well what this will mean
that his usual routine of finding nourishment will not exist
there will be no bakeries tossing out old bread
no eateries filling trash dumpsters with food deemed unfit for customers
only a mere fragment of passers-by from whom to solicit
but most folks crossing his path on this day will be just like him
with little to offer, not even a smile
snapping out from his speculation, he hunkers down upon the grate
trying to escape the bitter cold winds that seem to blow through him
he has found something to concentrate on
this is all that he has
so, we should all take this little tale to bed with us tonight
and recall it tomorrow as we enjoy our great feasts
in the warm comfort of home, with family and friends
for under the fate of circumstance
…every man could be a homeless man

Xmas lights.

Why do you need someone to touch you to feel again.
Surely that is not a requirement to feel alive.
I don't need anyone to be able to function, I never have, because everyone will always leave.
So why now?

Yes I know the psychology behind it, I am a nurse, so I get it.

So after losing a child, a father, a sister, and getting divorced twice...it makes no sense now..this numb feeling is so strange.

In order to give to others you need to have something to give, there's always been a lot to give, but today if you cut me open I wouldn't even bleed.

Love yourself first I am told, but where did I go.
I am a house full of Xmas lights and if you switch on the lights inside the Xmas lights will go off, so you leave the inside in darkness.

Emmanuel with us

If the truth
were to be
told
Christmas dinner
was cold
Yet my salmon
was fried
And was hot
when it
arrived

Air-fried
roasties
Carrots
and sprouts
Port cranberry
sauce
Blue plastic
knives
and forks

No Knife
to cut
the turkey
and ham
Looked like
we were
in a bit
of a jam

pulled from
my pocket
a fold up
heirloom
shaped like
a gun
no it wasn't
a spoon

Five inches
of Blade
suddenly
displayed
Wide-eyed
& open mouth
The Travellers
eyes
surveyed

broke
the silence
when I
made a joke
From then on
lots of giggling
yule tidings
& hope

The puppy
was home
And on
the mend
A wonderful
present
for Jesus
to send

Sensed our
Savior looking
upon us
with a smile
on His face
Watching His
children come
together
As the human
race.

Putter Gooder

Just putter gooder one on there
What are we talking about
The storm door on my house
With a trap door for a mouse
Why heavens sake do that for
Justa gonna ruin a good door
Still better than the one before
When a big snow comes around
The cat don’t want out no more
That’s the craziest thing I heard
You sure you don’t know for sure
Nope I can’t say for sure no more

surf

I'd rather go home
and live up a tree
than to be dry forever
and forget the 'ol sea

and I'd rather go hungry
than eat on the street
than miss every wave
and places they meet

I'd rather live in a hole
and stare at the stars
than live in the veins
of buses and cars

and I'd rather leave you
than live in the town
where the air is a stranger
and you wear the 'ol frown

I'd rather not laugh
if the cost was too much
If I never felt salt
in the places we touch

and I'd rather take truth
that a palace of lies
as time is an arrow
and flawless she flies

I'd rather hold you
than own your whole soul
and I'd rather go hungry
than live on the dole

and I'd rather grow old
that to be young in chains
as the sea has my heart
and it always remains

Be aware of the vultures

The lying sewer rats have revealed themselves once again
a tale has surfaced without credit but begs to be king
this plague and disease has taken away innocent life
We all can see the scorpion in words published in a sting
the odour leaves an invisible stench deeply within souls rooted
Our nation has what it deserves corrupted evil swine
wallowing in self pity crying over spilt milk bad eggs
poor in spirit drunken by their lack of knowledge
wisdom is condemned as false doctrine to address logic
Where creeps the shadows over the truth sandwiched
hiding behind a mask the joker laughs at democracies fools
This world is falling into the pits of hell with rotten apples
at the helm they form a circle dividing people to core beliefs
brainwashed individuals follow their leaders backwards principles
God be with anyone who can think for themselves
because the trendy have lost all faith and love
they judge everyone by their own standards
afraid of the cross they bear malice against goodwill
Sin we all can see how you mutilate everything Holy
take one look into the heart of this problem unfolding
hide your face in shame as the day will come when you kneel

About this poem:
this planet is moving backwards with rigged political views

in those that go directly against the ten commandments

law has become a twisted act against creation and the virtues of human rights

Departed

Gone as the colors faded
The cold clouds departed
Cast in shadows is the darkness
Where no mind rests as much as death

Where have all the rainbows gone
When morning weeps like tears
As black as blue becomes
So becomes life without you
As gray as day becomes night
I’m begging you to come home

Desire of a Flower

Our passions moved like the wind.
Desire burned like flames until there was nothing left.
The scent of her and the smell of a flower, for me, are as one.

The long lasting memory of her touch, her taste, fuels my burning heart, after what seems like eons.

To know, and to have, but too of lost is a pain and a joy of moments long passed into the hopelessness of need.
Fate moves her hand in unfair ways.

Looking, seeking, asking, but never finding; is a rode for the
dammed.

Hoping, trusting, being, is the path for the meek, for someday, someway, somehow I will find the desire, of a flower, once more.

Where People Are Lost And Never Found

It was a long way to nowhere
As I traveled on the trail of years
It wasn't much of a road map
That got me here

And now my conversations are the ones I write down
Maybe if I had been an Indian I could be on a reservation
But as it is I'm nowhere and that is where
People are lost and never found

Being here is forever waving goodbye
I could let my imagination lift me to a cloud up high
And sad it would be waking up to see I'm down
To nowhere and that's where people are lost and never found
