I was searching but I couldn't find
that little piece of safety for my mind
I'd had enough the grief , you can relate
there seemed to be no reason to debate
I felt as I was sinking: hope fading fast
and then I started thinking ...
this breath could be my last
but then you turned my world upside down
made a smile where there was once a frown
picked me up instead of putting me down
yeah you turned my world upside down.
Now the sun is shining bright
your love has rescued me from the night
took me captive without a fight
can I win this?
yeah, I think I might.....
cause you turned my world upside down
you spoke so loud but never made a sound
gave me hope when none was found
yeah, you turned my world up side down
yeah you turned me upside down
got my head just spinning round and round
you're the best thing ever, I have found
yeah. you turned my world upside down.

Verse I
The darkness had us in its grip,
For oh, so many years.
We feared to move for we might fall,
The night alone in tears.
Choirus
It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.
We got through the long dark night.
Don't ask I don't know how.
It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.
Verse II
The dawn it came all damp and chill,
But better than the dark.
We looked around with blinking eyes,
A landscape bleak and stark.
Verse III
The black and gray have been replaced,
With warmth and light instead,
And now the sun is shining through,
On better days ahead.

Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait
Last summer at the movies, S'il Vous Plait
There she was before me
In all her fire and glory
She's the one that they call S'il Vous Plait
I moved a little closer, S'il Vous Plait
She smiled as if she noticed, S'il Vous Plait
I moved right up beside her, S'il Vous Plait
I put my arm around her
I felt like I had found her
She's the one that they call S'il Vous Plait
I'll shout it to the sky from the tallest of the trees
I want a woman, if you please
The lady may be tempting, but I've finally learned her lesson:
Keep your mind on your music if you want to get to heaven
Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait
So now the sun has sung a summer day
They say that S'il Vous Plait has gone away
But wherever there's a will, there's a way
She's always within reach
Like Venus on the beach
Do you know the one they call S'il Vous Plait?
I want to marry one like S'il Vous Plait

Verse I
I called you on the telephone,
Your own sweet voice I had to hear.
It made me miss you all the more,
For that one moment to feel near.
Chorus
It's such a special day,
Special and precious too,
Because I heard you say,
Those three words, I love you.
Verse II
We won't let others interfere.
For there is only you and I.
Til you are in my arms my dear,
To that one goal we will apply.
Verse III
Though we are oh so far apart,
Our hearts reach out and cross the miles.
When from the subject we depart,
Saying I love you all the while.

Verse I
You were so cautious when first we met,
But I knew it right from the start.
It just took a while for you to get.
Now you are safely in my heart.
Chorus
It was only a matter of time,
For us to seek and finally find,
The one and only love,
The hand to fit the glove,
It was only a matter of time.
Verse II
Our stars have been aligned forever.
There never was a single doubt.
Always meant to be together,
It just took a while to find out.
Verse III
There's an aura that surrounds us now.
Protecting us from any harm.
So to you I make this solemn vow.
To keep you safe within my arms.

Verse I
I hitch to get to where I need.
I have no car you see.
Times are rough,
But I am tough,
Sometimes you gotta be.
I get good rides most of the time,
At others it's no go.
It's all good
Get what I should.
On the side of the road.
Chorus
On the side of the road,
On the side of the road,
You never know,
How it wiill go,
On the side of the road.
Verse II
There's money lost and money found,
A crapshoot at the best.
Take the things,
Good fortune brings,
And disregard the rest.
I've found the thing to do is just,
Sit back and watch the flow.
What goes by,
Upon the tide,
On the side of the road.
Verse III
Sometimes there are people too,
Out wanderin' around.
Just like me,
They're try'n' to see,
What's out there to be found.
Some are nice and some are mean,
You never really know.
Some are out,
Just roam'n' about,
On the side of the road.

Verse I
I was so lost and so afraid,
All alone and on my own.
All my life I'd been betrayed,
By love impure and cold as stone.
Chorus
There couldn't be another two,
As made for us as me and you.
We know the love we have is true,
It shows in ev'rything we do.
You know I love you through and through,
And I know that you love me too.
There couldn't be another two,
As made for us as me and you.
Verse II
You were sad and lonely too,
Seeking love you could not find.
Then a bolt came from the blue,
We found each other now we're fine.

Verse I
My baby's off on a trip,
While I'm sitting here on my own.
Craving the touch of her lips,
Just feeling so sad and alone.
Chorus
Missing you baby,
Please come back to me.
Need you to save me,
From my misery.
Love has enslaved me,
Please come set me free.
Verse II
Someone has stolen my sun,
Gray skies have me feeling so sad.
I told her 'go and have fun,'
And meant it, but still I feel bad.
Verse III
I know it's just a few days,
Til she's in my arms once again.
It's foolish, what can I say?
My life is on hold until then.

Verse I
We circled round and round at first,
Unsure of where we'd go.
Two strangers reaching out to find,
Just what there was to know.
But as the days and weeks went by,
I came to be quite sure.
That something special we had found,
So true, so bright, so pure.
Chorus
My darling baby girl,
You have become my world
I'm all wrapped up in you.
Love everything you do.
You cause my pride to stand,
When you call me your man.
My darling baby girl,
You have become my world
Verse II
It took a while for you to see,
That you were meant for me.
But then you caught a glimmering,
Through an epiphany.
You weren't ready to commit,
Yourself to me in full.
But I was quite persistant and,
Now you could feel my pull.
Verse III
And then a spot of clarity,
Brought your eyes open wide.
We're half a world a way and yet,
We stood there side by side.
Now you're as sure as I am dear,
You finally can see,
That what we have's a gem so rare,
We were just meant to be.
