Unfortunately, that's what we're left with. Those corrupt men and women of today were the same as the young idealists you quoted earlier in this thread. I hate to seem so negative but those young lads and lasses will more than likely be just as bought and paid for as those serving today. If they really wih to get something done they would concentrate more on their local communities rather than the world or a particular country.
It's not that I disagree with the concept. I just have seen the same or similar coming from others and here we are today. Just for the sake of experiment put those same words/text into the mouth of a 40 to 60 year old politician and you'l; see why I look at this so negatively. .
I hate to disagree but Hillary hasn't championed a health care program, she simply talks about it like most other politicians. Much like her husband. Even so, I think she will be a better SECSTATE than she would have been as President.
Regarding Obama, it will be sometime before anyone can really judge his effectiveness. Some complain about the amount of Clintonites in the cabinet but I think he needs to surround himself by experianced people, especially during te current economic crisis. We really need to give the guy a chance to succeed.
Very well put Tom. It was a good fight but that's been settled. Now's the time to get on with life. Obama, whether people agree with the results or not is the President elect and we need to give him the opportunity to succeed. I guess we're all going to see how it goes.
The only difference in this one and the multitude of others is that this one is being worked in the courts. I think you're right on the others. Typical smear BS and he should not be at all concerned with them. I think the public jury has already determined what they are about anyway. For that matter, he's under no obligation to deal with the BC issue. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
Sometimes people have difficulty telling others bad news. Perhaps they felt that you were wrong in whatever it is you were doing but were afraid to correct you because they thought this would compromise your friendship. Ironically, it seems to have had that result by making no corrective comment.
It's strange how we can say we have close friendships and relationships but we often do just the opposite of what we should do. Lousy answer but that's the way I have seen similar things go down in the past. I try to be brutally honest with friends and it has cost me in the past but at least I wasn't smiling to their face and talking about them behind their backs.
If you want to solve it, talk to her and maybe you can salvage the friendship or at least get an explaination as to why. If you don't want to solve it, cut it off.
Note to self: Done't cheat... If I do, keep pants on and away from you....
Serious, I've been the victim of this crap too. I just cut her out. To me she was the loser and there was no use in me grieving anymore than I already had. I'm just thankful she didn't passing on one of those wonderful viral gifts that are out there.
