LOL ... well, I thought it was Great North East dish (The Kingdom of Geordieland)
Neither grandparent told me it was from Ireland - mind 'in this moment' I suddenly realised how little they ever spoke of Ireland and I probably understand why.
But that would be a quiet chat over a Guinness and in a much less public group !
Hmmmm ....but I thought the Great Potato was more associated with Ireland M
Certainly my grand parents used it widely and served it beautifully ... he'd make Leek and Potato soup and tell us it was 'International Cuisine' and it's still a fav of mine in cold weather !
Yes, using garlic butter alone produces a lighter but fabulous flavour
I tried with onions, that was a bit bland, but the leafy greens from your national emblem ( the leek) work extremely well ... though gotta keep an eye on those as I like them just beyond wilted ... gonna try a hint of leon juice ... that sounds sharp !
Not claiming Eisenhower was Ghandi ... but certainly by end of office he did have things of value to say ...
Duterte ... I don't know enough ... but look at TV Westerns ... towns folk would hire a bounty hunter to clean up the town and then turn against him even though the methods were outlined before the contract was accepted !
Sure, I'll buy you a boat ... but to claim it I wanna see a blog with pics of your voyage sailing from Kalgoorlie to Alice Springs just so I know you can handle it !
Cos teddybears make the world go round ... and free hugs are the kind solution to all societal stains !
OK, so I'm tongue in cheek calling yer a whiney yank ... though seriously IS THIS A GOOD IDEA ?
Personally I think not cos it LOOKS whiney / needy / insecure and that's never a good look eh :-)
Lots of threads run their course and well, it's like pass the parcel game ... someone gets stuck with the parcel (last post)
Have a look through ... I probably have way more agin my name?
So 'possible solutions'
Drop a line on PM and chat to someone with whom you had past contact?
Have a look on news and create a topical thread (ideally not a copy cat / look alike )
Inane always works well here ... maybe you have an ingrowing toenail story, or the bread is going mouldy faster / or not so fast, the budgie drowned in his bath, impaled itself on the cuttlefish, how hugs can save the world ... especially popular just now 'Name that Looney' threads and 'How far can I go with racial slurs before my posts are removed by the moderators ?'
Failing that google 'Forum topics that never fail'
Can't admit to ignoring cos I don't think I 'know' you though !
Indeed that is said ... but the gent in question was formerly a high level hydropower engineer ... sadly, he knew more than most of the coal company heads so he was not hired !
I guess knowledgeable immigrants are seen as a threat by locals?
So, he opened his restaurant ... and life got better !
Labour with Jacinda ... the sparkly young thing they;re using to distract us from the absence of policy !
It's like that old Jimmy Saville Show " Jac'll Fixit "
Promise of 100,000 new homes ...
Awesome eh ... but I'm still waiting an answer from Party HQ
" Who is gonna build these 100000 new homes when there's none in the city who have time to do a days work on existing houses ... I'm a year long waitlist to take out a wall and get a new kitchen in"
The reply was to say that as my question crossed several policy areas it will be passed to the relevant specialists!
I'd REALLY like to thank you ... except you've made very plain in the past that you're so utterly devoid of sincerity that any reasonable person might wonder if you have a 'pump' as opposed to ordinary 'heart'
I'd much prefer the previous arrangement where you ignore me and I ignore you ... it was bliss!
But hey, Have a bunch of meaning icons and the world you live in will be wonderful
