I don't think a first meet is really 'a date' so, generally it would be planned as a coffee meet and that more or less implies some degree of brevity ?
If it goes well though there's option of running it on over into lunch or an early dinner ...
Nothing uncultured about that ... with chips, roasties or gravy n mash potatoes ?
All time favourite classical for me '1812 Overture' by Tchaikovsky ... it was the first piece I bought on CD and came with a leaflet 'telling the story that's told by the music'
It really opened my ears to classical and became the first of many

But yes ... and to keep it away from any risk of sounding personal ... you might find Picasso's art beautiful and my eyes might see something different !
