Are we here to actually date?

If there were one man and one woman eventually they would get together or at least become friends. History pretty much proves ir. My point being that searching profiles constantly instead of deciding to ask someone out is a giod thing? You tell me.

If he disrespected you because you wouldn't let him in your bed, he is a boy, not a man. Forget him.

Why do you waste or invest your time in LDR ?

Connecting Single is a place for people who has marital status "Single" or invisible single. This is one common thing that make everybody feel homy being here.

As an international platform of communication, the members of CS are coming from all over the world. The story of west meets east of north meets south is something normal among people here.

LDR or Long Term Relationship is a familiar relationship that most of people have except those who bump to each other in the same town.

I wrote a blog before about "Being Single is not a destiny but a choice", one of the comments inspired me to write this blog...

My opinion said:

Long Term Relationship is like an enterprise where you put your capital in it. You spend money, time and energy to build the enterprise of feelings between two people. Some people spend soon much money, time and energy but end up with fear to really establish the enterprise to public, some do in contrary.

Will you be curious to know whether you have invested or wasted the money, energy and time that you put on this enterprise? and what would you do you find the answer of the question?

I believe every one has their own view of this situation....

Being Single is not a destiny, it is a choice

HI Everyone...

How are you? And most of you are still hang around here... any wedding bell between you? Ah, I am asking to others, why not I am asking to myself first? And yes, the wedding bell is about touching me but not yet...

Been in sorrow because of the lost for so long time. I am trying to get up and collect all my broken pieces and here I am... Yap, that is what I call the past.

For some people, being lonely is killing them softly or rough is up to them. When we are in this situation, wanting to have a good company is becoming an obsession. But when we are becoming a long tern of happy single person, just to imagine having other person in the same roof would be a bit difficult. So, by the end, we choose to keep the status of being a happy single person and a long distance relationship become best solution. dunno confused

This is what always become my question... are you also like me who think that being single is your choice?

Malta, and Zen

It was 20 years ago. I was a successful consultant in my field, editor in a magazine, had managed to become assistant professor in the college I graduated from. I was dating an eccentric girl and my future looked bright. Would fight for another 5 years and then accept a position in a good company in my field, wear tight Ermenegildo Zegna suits and seduce our clients over lunches. Maybe ditch the eccentric girl and settle for something more reasonable.

Then I found Malta. Malta was small, very small, something like the population of the third largest city in my country. There was no way to follow my career path. It was an island, I couldn’t just hop in my car and go somewhere else if I felt like it and all this water around it…Yes, they spoke English, but they also spoke Maltese which looked worse than Chinese to me. They were Catholic, which could be a problem to my much freer approach to the Divine. I would obviously not wear Zegna suits every day and would I find an eccentric girl there? Hell, I haven't even been there!

I gave all this a 5 minute thought, pulled up my sleeves and got to work. Internet was there, but not so much info in it back then, gathered and printed all of it. Went to the bookstore, gathered maps, charts, tourist guides, the pocket Maltese lexicon. I wrote to real estate agents. I needed to rent an apartment and a shop to open a small print on demand shop, which was a possible success back then and I had all the knowledge to run it. One of the real estate agents even sent me a magazine. There were two pasta recipes in there, one with black and red “caviar” and the other, a tuna, parsley, anchovy, cold pesto. Still cooking them regularly after all these years…

What was that? Were I hallucinating? I was certainly not doing drugs. Was it something astrological? My furious Sagittarius ascendant had managed to kick the butt of the Virgo in me? Or was it the first symptom that I was yet another fragmented guy who was just missing the importance of my own being?

It was then it happened. Went to a seminar abroad, met someone I knew back in the years and I fell in love…My second email to her was actually an invitation to go and live with me in Malta, still have it. She didn’t even take the time to answer this. It went very quickly: child, marriage, dark, light, cold, hot, laugh, cry, idiots, mentors, Iceland, Japan, divorce…

Momentarily, Malta winked to me, but I was so unbelievably broken…
Ulysses they say passed from Malta on his way to Ithaca. Was it Calypso the subtle? Was it the sirens? Who knows…What I know is that I envy him. And after all these years, I still haven't been there…

Have You Ever Wondered...

Have you ever wondered how many of these 54 pictures, that show up in just the opening "Home" screen are actually real or fake, not to even mention the whole website?

Just curious if I was the only one, (I'm sure that I'm not), that hesitate to reply to obvious fake profiles. Kind of not fair to the "real" profiles, to have to deal with liars/fake people.

OK, have a great day to all the real profiles, and to the fakes.... %&^#$-off!

Trust

What does it take online to meet somebody that has integrity and can be honest with themselves and others?? I find that I keep running into untrustworthy people online and I am beginning to get frustrated with it all. Is it me or does it happen to others? You get to know somebody then you start seeing red flags and wham out of nowhere you find that they are not who they say they are.doh frustrated

What now ???

As I'm not having any luck on CS finding the perfect woman , or it seems any woman for that matter I thought I would try other oprions .

A friend set me up with a blind date and it was all going well until her seeing eye dog bit my hand and pissed up my leg frustrated

Then I thought I would try speed dating
Put on my profile that I can c*m in 30 seconds .as speed dating is all about doing the job and moving on to the next ....
But no offers so far confused

Lastly I heard about Tinder and met up with a nice woman .after a few drinks I must have passed out because I woke up to the sound of 2 stones being banged together, being covered in a shower of sparks and a womans voice saying "burn you bastard"help

Guess I didn't read the meaning of the word " Tinder "

Tinder :
dry, flammable material, such as wood or paper, used for lighting a fire.

Lucky I'm such a wet fish
