Lament for a C/S Poetess.
This is written in memory of Christina.... ( Pseudonym Odette67), a C/S Poetess who graced this corner for years with special poetry and honest critique. She lived in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, England and passed away earlier this year. Her favourite poetry form was a Sonnet so this one is for you Dear Christina. Eternal Breath.
This poem was written 38 years ago after my Love had died In the States. I would have taken her eternal breath Into me and she would have dwelt within me always. This was not to be. Maybe It Is the curse of one such as myself to walk his many lifetimes alone. Not likely, this Is me we're talking about. As you see, always have to lighten the mood when thinking of this lady. My thinking here, If I go back to an older corner, where I belong, why not make my first write an old write that means much to me. The poem tells the way It should have been.
The Time Say Goodbye Is Hardest
A near death experience hospitalised has inspired this poem. A pretty tough way to start the year uh. Ive met up with some incredible persons in there who was kind enough to share their experiences with me. One of them unfortunately passed away. The point is when you think that your problems in life is terrible theres always someone out there to top yours. So cherish and appreciate your blessings as small as they may be and live life to the full because one day you may never get that second chance. Thanks for perusing my poem.

CAME ACROSS THIS LITTLE GIRLS GRAVE, WHILE DOING RESEARCH, IN THE ANCIENT GRAVEYARD AT INISLOON, FURTHER RESEARCH THREW UP THE FACT THAT HER MOTHER WENT QUIET INSANE WITH GRIEF AFTERWARDS, THE PROXIMITY OF THE HOUSE OVERLOOKING THE GRAVEYARD IN INISLOON, WAS TOO MUCH FOR HER TO BEAR, THE JAMESON FAMILY, MOVED AWAY TO DUBLIN, SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, IN THE MID 18 HUNDREDS. A QUAINT BUT BEAUTIFUL SPOT IS ANCIENT INISHLOON, AS THE RIVER MISTS SWIRL ABOUT IT, IN GHOST LIKE SHROUD. INISLOON=RIVERSIDE MEADOW.

The Universal Poet ( A Challenge, Are u in? )
Ive been here a while and not only have I read from a lot of poets here but have made friends with you as well. So I put this together by using just your poem titles so technically you all wrote it. Every line holds one to three titles. It was fun so I thought maybe it would make a good challenge too, but you decide. For me its simply a dedication to you and a thanks for reading my many years of doom and gloom. It helped to "get it out there" as TruRob once said to me.. Unravelling
I leave you with my swansong, I am taking a long sabbatical to finish my children's novel I started last year and need to get back to to finish. I shall be gone for 6-12 months, but pop in from time to time to read the poems here. I shall not post or comment but this does not mean I shall not enjoy what I see.
