Cinderella and her friends

The prince is having a ball
The stepsisters make their grand entrance
Everything is a mystery around midnight
What will happen next
Oh the suspense is building
Fairy God Mother has come and gone
The nasty sisters deperately try to fit in the shoe
But the truth will come out
Honesty is the best policy
True colours are always present
Across the universe we have a different setting
Dorothy and Toto and the Wizard of Oz
The Tin Man and the Lion and the Scarecrow
The dream nightmares moments of silence
Follow the yellow brick road
Oh those golden slippers or were they red
The song goes good with oh them Golden slippers
The journey goes on warp speed Scotty
Here we find Snow White and the seven dwarfs
Sleeping Beauty resting peacefull and content
All is quiet on the Western Front
John Wayne rides them out of town
Clint Eastwood has arrived on the scene
"Make My Day"
"Do you feel lucky"
All is topsy turvy
back to the future again
Warp speed Scotty
My mind has wandered astray
Freedom of thought is a good thing
The Cinderella story has a wonderful ending
The prince discovers his lady and
If the shoe fits wear it
She wears it well
Stunning and beautiful is she
What a journey we have taken
And they live happily ever after

The Lie

It is interesting how it all starts out
Everyone is excited and moving about
Love is in the air
Show up with a flair
The conversations get deeper in thought
The lies a spider web ready to be caught
some times people need more love than one
therefore they think they must have some fun
playing with a persons heart is not nice
both parties endure what a slice
At the end a story is told
Seems just a little too bold
However the fall has taken place
The fall the despair from grace
Pick up the pieces and go on
like a trendy old fashioned song

By Candlelight

I gaze into your lovely eyes,
Reflecting candle's glow,
While in the backgrond gentle sighs,
Of music playing low.

A glass of wine we sip and share,
Here in the candlelight.
Together in an easy chair,
We hold each other tight.

When two romantics such as we,
Have moments such as this,
We join as we were meant to be,
In love's impassioned kiss.

The candle's flame has dwindled low,
And music has long gone,
But we continue our sweet, slow,
Love-making til the dawn...

...As our two hearts entwine,
In one love so divine.

a lovely summer recipe

prepared out in the noonday sun
all ingredients carefully readied
baking time has just begun
browned betty soon cookin' steady

get your flowers carefully sifted
fold in eggs 'n milk, DO NOT BEAT
mix in spiced up smiles lifted
place yourselves in your own heat

rising passions cookin' soon
after cooling on your rack
buttered bakin' afternoon
place in mouth and have a snack

savor all your summer basting
loving recipes for the tasting

When a Child is Born, (double sonnet, acrostic)

*W*hen children are born it's a wonderous thing.
*H*earing it's cry opens mothering love.
*E*very new heartbeat reminds us of spring.
*N*ew life, new hope from creator above.

*A*nyone being there around this place

*C*herishes memories, stores more to last.
*H*oarding the smile of an innocent face,
*I*nter-relating with memories past.
*L*earning to know a wind-grin from a smile
*D*eepens the contact and makes us feel great.

*I*n these deep moments we all have a while
*S*miling and cooing to try and translate.

*B*ut all the laughter and joy that we know
*O*pens in us 'cause a child made it so.
*R*ight at the start when it made our heart sing,
*N*obody questioned this feeling of love

*I*f we looked closer it would make our heads ring
*T*o know what a treasure we've got from above.

*I*n wiser moments, that sweet little face
*S*orts our soul-searching, erases our past.

*A*ll of our failings will go to a place,

*M*ended by one little smile that is vast.
*I*n one split second they cure us of bile,
*R*ages are buried and anger can wait.
*A*fter a while we just echo that smile,
*C*ured and forgetting all thought that was hate.
*L*et us give thanks for this wonder, and know
*E*very miracle child helps us grow.

My Love

Thought I'd found you a time or two,
Though not the one that I dream of.
Been searching all my life for you,
My sweet darling, my one true love.

It's true I've never met you dear,
But know you like I know myself.
Been in my dreams for all these years,
I love you more than I can tell.

You're sweet and gentle, wise and kind,
Beautiful in both heart and soul.
Independant with your own mind,
Not ever spiteful, mean or cold.

I'm sure that when we fin'lly meet,
I'll know that I have found my one.
Because of how my heart will beat,
Telling me that my searching's done.

I'll keep on looking til I find,
My special one and make her mine.

True Happiness

Compexities in life abound,
Sometimes it really helps I've found,
To take a longer simpl'r view,
Just try and you can do it too.

What's most important in this life,
Above the daily cares and strife?
The thing, of course, I'm speaking of,
Is that elusive thing called love.

One's love of self comes first of all,
For without that, we can't but fall,
So look inside your very core,
And find the 'you' you can adore.

We all have special qualities,
Just put them out for all to see.
Then once you have, I swear it's true,
You'll find that love will come to you.

Though love may walk in many shoes,
As fam'ly, friends and lovers too.
So take the love that comes your way,
Return it adding yours each day.

Do this one thing and you will find,
True happiness of soul and mind.

Unremembered

Come with me,
Come deep into the oceans of my heart,
Below the wars that wage relentless,
That cruel and pointless slaughter.

Come, hold my hand and descend,
And witness the creatures that I keep here:
The soft shelled molluscs and the coelecanths.
In the depths, life exists.

The heart lies deep in a fathomless ocean:
Now murderous, hateful, seething with the blood of its enemies,
Now calm, at peace, inviting.

Below, far below these liquid vascillations,
Unremembered, lies my heart -
Calcified, emprisoning a treasure of pearls.

Never Letting Go

You asked me once how I could be,
So certain you were meant for me.
And now, my love, you see it too,
You know that I was meant for you.

We click so much, almost a scare,
But more than all the things we share,
I've seen inside you, you in me.
That's really huge you now agree.

We know each other better than,
Anyone else could understand.
Our kith and kin may think us mad,
But this is something we've not had.

A special bond, though we've not touched.
And yet we are in love so much.
Now we are one and we both know,
We'll just hold on and not let go.

As long as there is you and me,
To all the world we hold the key.

As You Lie Sleeping

As you lie sleeping,
I peek inside your dreams.
As you lie sleeping,
You dance on moonlight's beams.

As you lie sleeping,
I know your love is true.
As you lie sleeping,
My arms still ache for you.

As you lie sleeping,
You dwell inside my core.
As you lie sleeping,
I love you even more.

My heart you are keeping.
As you lie there sleeping.
